1-4-26 well it more of the same outrageous prices at the goodwill, I am going to add pictures of a dog water bottle, one I bought at the goodwill in woodridge for 2.99, the other is one at the goodwill in lemont. today the manager, was there, i asked why are they 9.99 here. because she looked them up on the internet and they were 20.00, now when I first seen them, I looked them up and they go anywhere from 7.00 to 40.00, on ebay. now I can guarantee you. the guy with the 40.00 one is going to sit with it awhile. but most were 14.00 to 18.00, And anyone who knows how to look things up on the internet knows to look at the completed sales, you can ask anything you want on the internet, doesn't mean your going to get it. And these resellers as Dolores like to call them, are the scum of the world. We are what made the goodwill, now they are just the greedy will, round up, no discounts, Then going back a few days a few carts were out, there were 3 empty boxes, like you can buy at the dollar store, like 4 for 1.00, a pack, these empty box were 2.99 ea , on the same cart were 4 or 5 flat irons for 2.99 each. in the box with the flat iron inside. doesnt make a bit of sence. all the regular shoppers are discussed with her prices. after i asked her about the dog water bottle, she told me she can have me banned from her store. I told her I've done nothing wrong, I've stole nothing. when will the goodwill realize she is not management material. dolores is rude, uninformed,and for the most part useless. read more

I came here on a whim and I was white surprised seeing the very thing I was looking for. A vase! Simple and easy to obtain and the fact that the vase was high quality was a better surprise and only cost me $4.99! Now trust and believe if I would of bought this item in a high end store, It definitely would've cost me at least $50 or more and this is due to me seeing it in ebay while at the store. Come on now, you can't go wrong when it.comws to a bargain and I for one am not too good to not try then out and save a little bit of money. Who is? I have to admit that the employees also were too nice. Charlayne the manager was just so kind and the gentleman at the cashiers area (Emmett) was super nice. Just a joy to see an employee appreciate customers and not expect anything else but a pleasantry. That I can do, and of course rounding up your total to the nearest dollar seems to help Goodwill out so why not? They ask you at the end of your transaction. Now is this part of the kindness they offer? Not sure but I would say probably not, they seem to do it without any hesitation. read more

Prices continue to climb higher, merchandise continues to get more puzzling and limited. The section with large electronics (stereos, keyboards, etc.) is now full of dollar store Windex knockoffs, at twice what a dollar store would charge. Q Tips?! Come on! This Goodwill has been my go to when decking out my Victorian style home. I have purchased so many awesome pieces of furniture at bottom prices! A retro coffee table for $3? Yes, please! Lamps with shades around $5? Don't mind if I do! A sturdy console table at $20 for my wallpapered dining room? Count me in! I have been hitting up this Goodwill on the weekly as they always have new pieces out! The staff are very sweet and informative, they always do their best to keep the store as clean and safe as possible during these difficult times. One thing to note is that you have to be sure to know their most recent rules. For instance, they will no longer assist with your furniture. Nor will they hold it for you. You purchase, you take to your car, and you lift the item into the car. Acclimations to COVID, right? I will continue going back, this is my favorite store at the moment! read more

Dolores is extremely rude and talks down to her team members in front of customers. I am a Store Manager at a retail store and I would NEVER down talk to an employee like that. Disrespectful and I will not be back to this location. Someone needs to look into that manager because that is not how you treat people!!! Multiple customers have witnessed this behavior. read more

First time coming here. I actually needed to find a bathing suit to prepare myself for summer, so there was no better place than a second hand Store. This place was clean and welcoming upon arrival. Not too many people here. The layout of the store was a bit confusing but I found what I was looking for as well as some extra goodies. This place features a changing room as well. Goodwill Store & Donation Center - 4 arm spider lamp! Whut!!! - Thrift Stores Near Me - Lemont, Illinois

This Goodwill is a gold mine! I could not believe my luck here on a Saturday afternoon. Other locations are so busy it can be unbearable to shop. At Lemont, it was so dead that I was able to take my time, and I was able to grab a shopping cart and navigate the aisles with ease. I usually don't even bother with a cart at Goodwill. I ended up with almost 20 tops to try on! The fitting room attendant was so accommodating, she unlocked the larger/handicapped accessible room for me and said I could bring the cart in. My purchase consisted of 5 of those tops, some from Banana Republic and Ann Taylor LOFT. I also tried on some BCBG, Tommy Hilfiger, and various department store brands. The racks are filled with a lot of Old Navy, Target, and Kohl's labels but there were a few surprises like the BCBG, Guess?, and Abercrombie, which I haven't typically seen at Goodwill. The organization here is done well, and it was extremely rare to find a size that didn't belong in my section (something I've come across too often at other locations). The cashier was very nice also. This is my new favorite Goodwill location. I'm the first to review so it looks like the secret is out now! You are welcome my friends. read more

I love this Goodwill. Boyfriend grabbed a perfectly working tv for $2 a couple of months ago. Since then, we've been back quite a few times. First, he found me some cuddl duds for $5. Then I found some amazing DVDs that make for good cuddle nights. I will keep going back randomly to check and see what kind of gold is lying around here. read more

Nice, clean location, well organized and sized for the clothing. Prices were very reasonable, but they know what they have- Jean brands like Joe's and Citizens for humanity were $10, other brands were less, which means if you find something expensive, but obscure, you'll get a steal! Shoes are not sized, but I like the challenge of looking through all of them anyways. They have some of the overstock/leftovers from Target (new items), as many thrift stores do, but not as much as Salvation Army. Definitely a preferred Goodwill to shop at. I will be back! read more

I've found some great stuff for my home here, but damn is there a bunch of "pickers" here that think they're going to hit the eBay jackpot! Yes, Lemont is an upper middle class town but people aren't donating their bags of dirty money to Goodwill instead of cleaning it. Staff is very personable and the store is very clean. I am a thrift and second hand shop addict. But I find it criminal when second hand shops are charging $10 or over for extremely used clothing. I think the clothing is way over priced. The only reason for going to these stores is to get a deal, but why would I buy a used clothing for that price when I could just get something brand new for a couple more bucks. It just makes no sense to me. The company makes 5.1 billion a year, so maybe consider charging the right prices for peoples used items. read more

Store is always cluttered and hard to shop. Managers are rude. A few of the employees are very pleasant so it makes it worth it. Been shopping here for about 6 months and Katie, Beth, Marilyn and Phoebe are always the employees I look for. All are extremely helpful and polite. Hopefully the manager gets the cluttered situation fixed soon. It has potential. read more

Two thumbs down to the idiots at Goodwill who decided to hand out the Andrew Shaw autograph wristbands three hours ahead of time. My 9 year old son and I showed up early to try to get an autograph and we were told that they had given out the wristbands earlier than they were supposed to. My son cried all the way home. I frequently shop and donate at this very same store, unlike most of the people who were there with wristbands, but certainly will never donate another item to Goodwill. I would rather throw them in the garbage. The next time you have an event like this, I certainly hope it is handled better. read more
