I scheduled an appointment several days in advance to have my range hood fan looked at. Okay, fine. I wait several hours, and there are maybe ten minutes left until the end of the appointment, so I call again to make sure; I was then told that I was going to get a different appointment window on the same day, which leads me to then wonder if they were going to bother informing me of this today had I not called. I thought that was going to be the end of it, but then the technician called after that to say that he wasn't going to make it at all, and despite me trying to reschedule this appointment, he concluded that it was impossible to reschedule and ended the call. I see all these five-star reviews and I had high hopes, but I feel incredibly let down by this.

When their employee showed up, 30 minutes later than he said he would, he checked our only one year old house, and said that we actually don't even have ducts. So he moved onto our dryer vent, only to determine that it was tucked into a space too tight for him to pull the dryer out, and that the external duct was too difficult for him to reach on the roof. So he essentially spent only 15 minutes blowing air through our AC vents and then charged us the full price for all of the work ($349), promising to come back with two guys a week later to pull out our dryer and deal with the main problem. However, when they came back the following week, they once again determined that even with two guys they were unable to address the blocked vent issue. The additional Guy that came with him was in fact the manager, Mark, who assured me that I would get a refund of the $129 for the duct and dryer vent cleaning that they did not do. It has now been over two months, and several phone calls later on my part, including one in which Mark himself told me that he would sign a check the following day and mail it to me for the refund, and I have still not received my money back. They have now stopped answering my calls or returning my messages. Horrible customer service. UPDATE: two months after this review, the company reached out to me and agreed to a full refund. The matter is now resolved to my satisfaction.

After receiving that advice, my wife was so upset at GE she called the company. They agreed to pay for new parts but wanted a report from the repairman, Carlos. We gave them Carlos's number and received a call from Carlos shortly thereafter wherein he advised us that he would not write a report for GE unless they paid him to do so. After paying $375 for nothing, that did not sit well with me. GE then sent another repairman who quickly diagnosed the problem as broken pump. It took him 10 minutes. The same repairman returned and installed the new pump for $280 including the DW installation. GE paid for the new pump. and the dishwasher works great. I've had this on my TO Do list for six months for a reason and it is not because I like to waste my time writing reviews. First his diagnosis was wrong--he said the motor was shot it was not. Second, he was expensive -- the GE repairman actually repaired and re-installed the DW for a third less. Finally, he would not even write a simple report without more money--that is why i am writing this review. $375 bucks for bad advice and he would not even write a short report.
