During my interactions with Saeid, I shared videos of my washing machine acting up, and he was able to help me trouble shoot what was going on without even setting foot in front of the machine. When I asked him what I owed him for his time - because we spent over 2 hours back and forth on text with him reviewing videos, and making suggestions to try with my washing machine - he indicated that he was happy just to help out. Wow! There are not many businesses in this city who are simply ok to "help out" without compensation of some sort! While my washer was being replaced, the installers brought to my attention that the previous owner…read morehad attempted an after market modification on my dryer that was unsuccessful. They had attempted to side vent the dryer to fit into the space but they did not properly seal the vent. The installers removed the rear venting panel and one could clearly see the exhaust pipe was not connected to the dryer...and the exhaust pipe was just hanging loose. The only way to do it properly was to take the dryer apart, connect the exhaust pipe and seal it all. The installers advised they could not do this type of work and it required a tech. I was referred to Solution Appliance and very happy that I was. The tech who attended was Stan, and he was professional and clearly had the KSAs to get the job done. He requested to first come view the dryer to confirm the issue. He attended and advised he had to take the dryer apart but that it was an easy fix and he would return later that evening to complete the job. Stan did return and did a great job in connecting and sealing the exhaust to the dryer. It was a very positive appliance servicing experience and happy to recommend Solution Appliance.

As it happens, Mark was able to make the repair quickly and for the least amount of cost. I could not have anticipated a better experience and I'm very grateful that there remains real professionalism in the world today. It's hard to find. Initially, they charged a $167 diagnostic fee and a $663 parts prepayment, promising a 10-day fix. Instead, they sat on my money for over a week before ordering the parts. When I called to check in, staff were incredibly rude and blamed me for the delay. Four weeks later, a technician finally installed the parts and left without testing them. I paid another $143--bringing the total to $973--but the machine failed immediately. The technician visited a week later (for the third time) and admitted he didn't know how to fix it. Management has completely ignored my requests to speak with them. They eventually promised a refund (minus the diagnostic fee) but have provided no written confirmation or money. Totem defaulted on every promise. Save your resources and avoid them entirely.

Customer support: Shane was very accommodating in terms of scheduling/ changing appointment. He also called back really promptly. Services: Shane was unable to resolve the problem for me. He pulled the fridge out and looked at the back where the compressor was, checked the resistance, and said I needed a new fridge. He also said it could be computer board error and would be very pricey and may cost as much as a new fridge. I wasn't convinced as my fridge is relatively new (5 years) and on the market now is still around $3000. I sought a 2nd opinion with another company (that was recommended by a hardware store that said that other company services Fisher & Paykel appliances). The other repair company came and fixed it within 30 minutes (they knew exactly what was wrong based on the error code; it was simply the defrosting element that malfunctioned.. hence defrost error, my fridge has no more error since the element was replaced). Cost: He offered one of the most competitive call-out rate. He charged me for the call out rate and didn't charge me for labour since he couldn't resolve my issue. Overall, I appreciated the customer service and the courtesy of not having charged labour. But I did have to call for another company and according to them was a simple fix hence the lower rating.
