We continue to accrue penalties and interest on a 2018 tax filing because of their complete failure to do their job properly. The IRS has clear proof that we, as the client, signed and submitted our taxes in February 2019--yet Carlos and his team did not bother filing them until June 2019. That delay is entirely on them, and we are the ones paying the price. This has resulted in serious financial setbacks and an enormous waste of our time trying to fix a problem that should have never existed in the first place. Even worse, when we brought this to Carlos's attention, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed zero accountability. Instead of correcting his mistake, he had the audacity to try to charge us $500 just to "look into it." This is not just poor service--it is blatant negligence and a complete lack of professionalism. Also this is not Brian's business, he inherited it from his father and you can tell. The guy is not all there when you talk to him and tells you things you want to hear without following thru. My last accountant charged me the same amount but he actually took all my receipts and worked, what did you do for the $1250 you charged me?
