The many pool tables are the main draw, but they do have other games & a smoking permitted full bar. (I came for a benefit) Bar- seemed well stocked with liquors, but only a couple beers on tap & the only ale was Schlafly in the bottle (I can survive!). I have been here quite a few times, either playing darts or pool. The crowd is always friendly, the owner, "Teach" is AWESOME, and there's plenty of space to dance, or play. Its a friendly neighborhood bar with cold beer and shot specials. Great place to hang on the weekends! read more

Pool tables were nice, and the staff was friendly, but there was so much cigarette smoke that our eyes started watering within 15 minutes of getting there (none of our group were smokers). We wound up leaving and going somewhere else. If you're a smoker, this is a decent place to go. If you're not, and trying to avoid lung cancer for whatever personal reasons, pick someplace else. read more

Waitresses are awesome but the kitchen help stinks. At 8:30 pm I ordered the special which is boneless chicken chunks and the cook looks at a clock that is set 30 minutes fast and said no it's 9:00 and I quit serving them I stated the real time at which point he said it doesn't matter we go by this clock. Too lazy to do his job I guess? So I will go down the street to Redbirds and get whatever I want on the menu as long as the kitchen is open tonight and every Thursday before league starts here. The place is well lit and clean and the tables are in good condition, but when it comes to the service and the food, Teachers could use some schooling! The menu is blah, and the sandwiches have no flavor, lunch meat on bread with cheese, and are served with a bag of regular Lays chips, not even a choice on the chips. The server that is supposed to tend to the customers on the floor, not behind the bar, is rarely seen coming around. If you need a refill, you have to go to the bar, and if you are drinking soda, be sure to mention you want the watered down leftovers dumped out BEFORE she refills it with a fresh drink. Their french fries are tasty, and the tables aren't sitting on top of each other, so that is another plus...but like I said, some stepping up needs to be done. It's been years since the last time I've been here. They've done a lot to fix it up, but still a dive. Played pool while we were there. They charge by hour ($7.50/hr) but they pro rate depending on how long you are there. This can be pricey depending on how many games you can get through in an hour (most other places we go are $0.75/game). The table was nice and the place seemed clean. The bartender was also very friendly. Drinks are pretty average price. Will be back for a quiet game of pool without having to deal with a bunch of drunks like at other places. read more

This is now a non smoking bar. When the first quarantine happened last spring some new additions were added and also a great new menu! 1/2 lbs. Burgers with fries cooked from rare to well done. Tuesday night is also Bar Bingo that was implemented during this last six months. Come in eat well,play pool,or play bingo. You can't lose. Plus its smoke free!!! read more

A friend had a question about their bill. The bartender was extremely rude. She then proceeded to call him the n-word. After reaching out and not getting a response from this establishment, I can only conclude that they condone this behavior. I would never recommend a place that encourages its staff to use racial slurs. read more

Pool was fun the atmosphere was nice. I would have given it more stars but the bartender was very rude to my friends and I it was unreal. I'm surprised she still has a job there because the way she treated us was ridiculous. Also sucks that if you want to listen to music you have to pay for it by picking it out on a huge jukebox which runs through Spotify, a FREE music service. Best pool hall in the Midwest. Lowest prices of all pool halls I've been to. All Diamond tables and are in excellent condition. Also the food is great and not expensive at all. The bar and bartenders are great. I recommend this place. read more

the place stinks of cigarettes because smoking is allowed but the owner (he claimed to be anyway) was very rude to me for using my e-cig, told me he didn't want to smell my smoke!...its not smoke its water vapor and it smells like fruit loops cereal .. and will all the smelly cigarette smoke theres no way he could smell it. he also told me it was clouding up the place and looked up at the fog of cigarette smoke but is too dumb to know that water vapor is heavier than air and falls to the floor. he was very rude about the whole situation and needless to say i won't go back read more

I had the worst service here. One bartender, who wore a livestrong shirt on this specific night, was extremely rude to my friends and I. When trying to ask for anything, this bartender talked to us like we were idiots. When buying drinks, at one point at the bar, she had a cigarette dangling out of her mouth, just blowing smoke in the faces of her customers. Kinda made me want to puke, so I will spend my time elsewhere. And the sign wasn't even lit up, so it seemed kind of sketchy. It is now called jak wagons. I have never been in here before me it will be my last time. I walked in there today wanting to get some wings to go. See on the sign outside " extreme pool and wings". How wrong I was, I walk in and ask the bartender if I could make a to go order of wings? He laugh at me and said we do have food like that! We got chili!! Then all the men at the bar laughed.
