But here I am, Ms. Ruthy coming in 7 days a week, not to brag , but sometimes I'm working out even twice a day!! Cuz I love it that much. Look I only have good things to say about FLX Fitclub. The instructors are so friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful. Everyone I have met in the classes have been so kind and welcoming. The gym itself is always really clean, organized and everything is wiped down after it has been used. So far I haven't taken a class that I didn't like. I feel like there are a lot of different options, depending on what your looking for. I really enjoy their cycling classes. Body pump is a must. I've felt comfortable enough to try things that I have never tried before like Barre, it was definitely harder then it looks. Then Sh'Bam was something I'd never thought I'd like and It is SO much fun. The class goes by so quickly. I love the Bodyflow and core classes on Fridays. It's a Great workout to do back to back, You feel very zen and sweaty. I have yet to try BodyCombat, BodyAttack and Grit. Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous, but I'll report back and let you know what I think. Look...if you're looking for a clean gym with an array of great classes, amazing instructors and a fun crew of people to work out with. FLX is for you. The pilates classes work miracles for back pain and other body aches and pains that start up after age 50. There is a variety of classes which is really nice depending on your mood and what you feel up to accomplishing physically. This is a top-notch studio and if you are looking to get stronger in a safe and productive way, this is it. Plus everyone is so nice. Five stars. Highly recommend.

This space is warm and welcoming and all the instructors have been wonderful while also being completely unique in their focus and delivery. I started January with the unlimited membership (which I highly recommend) so I've taken Facial Refresh, Core XIIT, Pilates (mat) and TRX classes. Each class and each instructor has something different to offer, and with the small class sizes you feel like a part of the community immediately. From week to week the instructors remember specific injuries (to recommend modifications), goals and other pieces that are so important to substantial growth in strength and stamina. The online system is very easy to use to sign up for classes and the cancellation policy is extremely fair. Being right in the heart of Fall Creek with ample parking, the commute there is never a problem. In addition, the class times are perfect for my schedule and they have so many various classes to offer, it's so much more than just Pilates! Finally, they even have online classes if you can't make it in-person on a specific day, which I have also used and found to be extremely beneficial. I really can't recommend Vellidan enough. As a mom of two young children, this was the reminder I needed that feeling strong doesn't need to mean high intensity workouts with guaranteed injuries. Pilates is highly focused core work that is low intensity with a laser focus on correct form rather than overexertion. In just one month I already feel stronger and can feel my balance and core strength improving significantly. Everyone in the gym was also super friendly (even first thing in the morning)! Get your GAINZ on with the variety of equipment provided, such as free weights(!!!), accessory and cardio machines. They had everything I needed to get an amazing sweat session in so you'll most likely find everything that you need here as well!

But this studio is NOT a hot studio, it's a tepid studio, a "warm"-ish studio. My feet remain freezing at least half an hour into class, and once the class hits 80, the small heaters fully shut off (they may even blow cold air?? I can't seem to remember!). It's actually really miserable for folks who are avid hot yoga practitioners. And I wouldn't recommend this studio for people who are looking to really move and physically challenge their body. I've practiced hot yoga for 15 years. It's my life line to mental grounding and the my favorite version of self-care. Mighty Yoga left me sleepy after every class instead of energized (which is what usually happens after a true hot yoga class when my body is moving). Because the intensity or movement wasn't there, my body was unable to release my anxiety and feel relaxed. Some people DON'T need to expend energy like that, and Mighty Yoga would be great for those folks. It's not great for me, but that's why I'm giving it 3 stars...bc while it doesn't work for me, it isn't a total shit show...just not "my" place :)

Prior to the gym, I never thought I would enjoy working out in a group, but I don't think I could go back to working out alone. The space is a converted warehouse that they have made their home. It gives plenty of room for all of us to workout with room to spare. I have never felt like the gym was crowded because we always have room for more people. There is very good equipment from wall-mounted racks to gymnast rings, to sleds that we push/pull, kettlebells, etc. There is an astroturf section which we do sled pushes, sprints, and the valor olympics on. The gym is for all ages and all levels of fitness and goals. We have kids to young adults to people in their fifties. Best of all Valor is a family. We adopt new members into the family everyday.

I'm so grateful I found them…read more Before signing up for a trial class, I'd never even picked up a barbell, and CrossFit lingo sounded like alphabet soup to me. But Jana, Andy, and the other CFV coaches met me exactly where I was at fitness- and knowledge-wise to help me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. After struggling for years to stick with any consistent workout routine, at CFV, I've finally found something that's approachable, effective, and lots of fun. I truly look forward to every class. A little more on details: The class sizes are small, which means that everyone gets plenty of personalized coaching throughout the workout, and that no one is a stranger. The coaches are great about correcting for form and taking time to ensure folks are moving correctly to avoid injury. The workouts themselves are different every day, which keeps things interesting, but they're also all easily customizable depending on ability level, physical limitations, etc. The community at CFV is fantastic: all skill levels, all ages, all walks of life. The space itself is bright, cheerful, and clean, and the equipment is all nice and new (they just opened in September 2021). Jana and Andy are constantly making additions and improvements to the space to make it even better. I'm looking forward to continuing my fitness journey with CFV.

They really get to know their clients and make working out enjoyable. The bootcamps that I attend seem to fly by! They are super knowledgable and are always willing to help you work on whatever you feel you need to work on. It's a positive atmosphere where you can feel free to ask questions and share some laughs. They have really fun and interesting monthly group activities that you can sign up for. ShockYard also gives back to the community by participating in workouts and tying them into some kind of community service. They've participated in kickball tournaments to raise money for dog rescues, Relay for Life walks, and kayaking and hiking while cleaning up Morton Park.
