Got a new car. It's black. It's a Lexus RX. Was charged for an oversized vehicle. Also drove home in a dirty car. This was early January, and the service I paid for was interior, exterior, tire shine. Very quick wash, very little time spent on it once it came through the wash- not wiped down enough and visible "white, salt (or whatever it is that makes a black car gray). I asked for a towel to wipe it myself and was given a dirty towel that was used to wipe down the car next to me. Highly recommend finding another option in Summit. read more

I visited the new Madison location of Team Car Wash, and once again, this company is committing highway robbery. Paid for a deluxe wash and somehow left with the same dirt -- just rearranged. Cup holders, door panels, and floor mats were still visibly filthy. When I pointed it out, I was told that kind of cleaning is considered "detailing." If wiping obvious grime is now an upgrade, expectations have officially hit rock bottom. Summit, NJ location. Oversized vehicle is defined as any SUV. A compact 5-passenger SUV (like an Audi Q3) triggers the exact same oversized upcharge as a massive 7-passenger SUV (like a Cadillac Escalade). And apparently cross-over vehicles are also subject to the $2 oversize charge. When comparing prices, be aware of how Team prices their service compared to their competitors. Not good. They don't care. $37 for a full wash with vacuum and they don't even vacuum half my trunk which I always conveniently empty so it's easy for them. They recently added a $2 up charge for oversized vehicles. They quantify oversized and ANY SUV. So if you have a Q3 or an Escalade, you pay it. There are cars bigger than a Q3 that don't get the upcharge. This a money grab by the owner. I would prefer they just raise the price and not add the $2 each time. I go to garages in Manhattan that don't upcharge my car as oversized. I'll be washing my own car from now on and so should you. read more

Ive had a membership for two years. Never once have they cleaned my car adequately. Poor vacuuming- you will still have crumbs even if you ask them to redo it. The front windsheild always has a greasy haze on it. Expect to redo the car once your home. read more

I only come here when it's convenient, and every time I regret it. They'll have 15 people wiping down your car and even a spotter/manager checking the work--yet it still comes out dirty. For $35, it's just not worth it. This time I nearly drove back around to demand they redo it or give me a refund. The worst part is you end up feeling rude for pointing out the obvious spots they missed while "inspecting" your own car. I paid $36.95 + tax for The Works. When I got home I had to manually clean the silver wheels on all tires as they were filthy. The inside of my trunk was not vacuumed and there were blue spots all over the body of the car from the cleaner they used which they didn't properly wipe and I had to. Ok, first off, if you are thinking of just having a ONE time wash, DO NOT COME here. There are a few reasons but the biggest is that one almost ALWAYS leaves with water stains and streaks on the car. This necessitates you ignore it or have to do your own wipe down. It is ESPECIALLY worse when there is a long line. The wash itself seems decent, and there are workers that take out your mats and vacuum them for you. When the car exits the wash, it sparkles but it is still very wet. So, a group of workers congregate to wipe it down and dry it off. Except, they do like 80% of the job. There are still so many damp spots and so when you drive off, the water streaks, then dries and now you got stains all over. That being said, if you going in with a dirty car, will it be cleaner? Absolutely. Will it be perfect? Absolutely NOT. If you go in for a single clean you will definitely be very angry with the results, especially if you paid the full $35. However, I use the unlimited wash because I know I need my car to be washed at least 2-3 times a month. For the value, it seems worth it. I have just come to expect a lot of imperfections after the wash but honestly, my ONLY goal is to just do regular cleaning maintenance. I am not some car enthusiast that needs everything polished clean and shiny. Definitely try to avoid coming here when the line is super long; the workers will rush through it even more so. It is disappointing overall. The audacity to leave a tip bucket for the sloppy job that is done is quite incredible. They must think they are adequate.... read more

I typically go to my car wash near my home (which they are excellent) but my daughter was in summit for practice to I decided to give them a shot. I went there for the first time this past Saturday. The staff are nice and sweet but the cleaning of the car itself was horrible. When I was told my car was ready it looked decent. There were a lot of water streaks on the car, windows, doors etc... but that was not my only problem. They did not properly vacuum inside my car. The seats, the rugs were not properly vacuumed but they did not clean at all under the center console. I would never recommend or return to this car wash. read more

They told us that they can't do the interior that well, that they have a lot of cars waiting and we would have to pay a detailing for $300. I had the unfortunate experience of having the paint on my truck damaged after going through the machine at Summit Team Car Wash. I am not a person that is quick to complain about a service experience without approaching the business first to find a reasonable resolution. But this experience led me to cancel my "unlimited car wash membership" and pushed me to post this public review because I don't want this issue to happen to anyone else in the future. I will not be bringing either of our cars there going forward nor would I recommend their services to any of my friends and neighbors. To keep this brief, I noticed some scuff marks a few times after having my vehicles washed at Team Car Wash, but didn't pay much attention to it. I just assumed maybe they had not serviced their equipment recently and maybe it was just some residual grease or mud on the brushes. But my father-in-law did point out some decent scuff marks on the front bumper of my wife's SUV after a wash last month. These scuff marks are easy to see on our vehicles because they both happen to be white. I again didn't pay it any mind and promised her that I'd "buff it out". No problem. That all changed when I returned after a wash today and noticed scratches (some deep) that ran down each side of my Ram Truck (Laramie 1500). These scratches ran from the front bumper all the way to the lens covers for my back tail lights. I added a few clips to this review to survey the damage. Now, I get it that sometimes you'll get some light surface "crud" from the machine. But there should NEVER be anything that gets through the clear coat and most certainly not down to the metal. Luckily, most of these scratches were light so they were able to be buffed out by the establishment. I should note that after I called to speak to a manager, no one called me back and it wasn't till I returned later in person in the afternoon did I speak to a manager. The conversation with a manager did not go as well as I would have hoped. He was pleasant and explained that most of the brushes on the machine have a very light touch and there is nothing that would have created the deeper scratch on my quarter panel. I asked him, "if the brushes are such a light touch, why are there scratches on the lens covers?" He didn't respond. I also said that maybe his machines weren't calibrated correctly, which is why something on the apparatus dug into my truck. He said that I was the only one with this issue today, which I hate to say it, but I find Really hard to believe. He also mentioned that there isn't anything in the machine that would spin in that direction to cause the deep scratch on the bed, however, I watched other vehicles go through the cycle and because of the size of my truck, I think that if the brushes weren't calibrated correctly, the metal stems could have most certainly scratched the exterior of my vehicle... The manager did offer me an express detail which did buff out the majority of the scuffs but left the deeper scratches on the drivers side of the truck bed. Because I had my son sleeping on my shoulder (I just picked him up from the school and the doctor) I was not in the mood to argue for the cost of repairs at another detailer. So I reluctantly took my truck and drove home still stewing. I am really disappointed by the whole experience because I was excited at the prospect of having an unlimited car wash membership going into the winter. With a truck living in the Northeast, I'm always worried about rust on the undercarriage. And this place did seem like it was pretty well run. They certainly do a lot of volume. But this whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I also noticed a whole lot of adjustment activity going on in the machine while I was waiting for my detail to be done but I don't know if that was just because I was paying more attention since I was already annoyed. A lot of people have said to take your car over to Madison car wash because that's where the old owners moved to. I guess I'll also be taking my trucks there too from now on. read more

Not happy with them when I had the car cleaned here about a year ago. Have to say they've improved. Someone checked the car after the workers dried the car and he had the worker go crack in to clean some places missed. So I'm happy today with the quality of the wash. I paid $30 to have my 2024 suv washed and vacuumed. - 5 to 6 attendant wiped outside of vehicle quickly - they never opened my hatch to wipe windows - I brought it to cashiers attention spoke with manager, who went out opened back, wiped windows and apologized , said they're opening other don't know why not yours - attempted to get in my vehicle and noticed that vehicle had not been vacuumed - spoke to another attendant , who said he would take vehicle back and start over, when I questioned why they didn't vacuum he proceeded to say if you want us to vacuum you need to move seats. REALLY!!!! Blaming me!!! After finally getting in my car I notice that vacuuming was done quickly -it was still dirty, wiping was minimal windows were streaky.. outside of car did look cleaner, but I paid for a full service totally not worth the money paid. I had driven through a nasty mud puddle last week and there was mud splattered ALL over my car and I didn't get the chance to have it washed until today so the mud just baked on the car for like 5 days and it's completely gone now. They even wiped down the floor mats on the inside and scrubbed/dried the outside after the car went through the drive-through situation. I have been patronizing the Team Car Wash in Summit since it took over this location several years ago and have a monthly subscription for THE WORKS for both of our daily driver vehicles, (SUV and Coupe). They do a very good job as an automatic car wash with attendent drying afterwards. Their subscription service pays off economically for those of us who have their vehicles washed 3 or more times per month, something that the previous Summit Car Wash never offered. Also, I have found that their new, state-of-the-art automatic car wash equipment results in a better and less abrasive cleaning than the old equipment installed and used under the previous ownership. I do appreciate the thorough vacuuming, dusting, wiping down and drying of the vehicle, including the windows, afterwards by a team of 4-6 staff, something that many other carwash establishments just gloss over with a couple of guys. FYI, I am quite particular in the cleaning of my vehicles and have found this team to be very proactive in addressing unique cleaning issues, responsive to special requests and even accepting of some un-solicited advice. All in all, they have provided us with consistently good car washes that includes an underside wash that is so important during winter salted roadways. As per my request, they will even attend to the small details such as wiping down the black carbon deposits on the chrome exhaust pipes. As for those customers who have left negative reviews with supporting photographs for this establishment, I believe that many of them seem to assume and expect a level of cleaning that truly only would be achieved with a much more expensive and time-consuming (4-8 hours), automobile interior and exterior detailing, which is totally unrealistic for an automatic, in-and-out, car wash. Therefore, as an automated car wash establishment, I can and do highly recommend the Team Car Wash in Summit! read more
