The location isn't hard to find, but remember you're looking for a house, not a traditional hotel. Check-in was a breeze and from the moment you enter the suite, you are plunged into what I can only describe as a romantic escape room. I don't want to give away too many things, because half of the fun is discovering all that your suite has to offer. However, I will say that you will not be disappointed if you love mysteries and grew up on choose your own adventure books and Scooby Doo. In addition to all of the fun things, the room has to offer, details have been meticulously, thought of, from plush robes to snacks. You never really have to leave the room if you don't want to. We did decide to take a break about halfway through to enjoy a restaurant in the area, which was another bit of nostalgia, because I had not seen a Ponderosa buffet since I was a kid. Two things to note to make your stay better. First, take advantage of the full-time you have the room. This is one place that you want to arrive as soon as check-in is available at 5PM and check out at the very last minute 11AM so you can really enjoy everything. Next, even if you are really moving quickly the experience takes 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for that. You can definitely move at your own pace, but just know there's a lot to uncover. Overall, this place is a gem. I would absolutely return and try a different adventure, but honestly Treasure Island was so much fun I would do it again.

There was music playing and it was uniquely decorated, like we were stepping into a whole different world. The clues were more difficult than we expected which was great! Behind each hidden door is a new experience. This is better than any escape room you've ever done. While the house is shared with other couples each suite is completely private. When entering our room it felt like we were the only ones in the whole place. The only reason we knew other people were there is because we saw cars out front and could hear people talking from the shared staircase. Book a room. You will not be disappointed.

Before I write my review, I may be a bit biased as my family is BIG into escape rooms…read more Overall it is great for our small town and I was thrilled they added this to the city! The family who owns it is very nice and very hands on with making it a fun experience. Staff has always been super friendly and they have a wall where your polaroid is placed if you make it through! This is a smaller escape game facility with about 3-4 rooms, all hand-crafted to fit their theme. We have done all of their rooms each rotation, I just wish they rotated the rooms more and that the ones they did change, weren't so close to the same theme. For example, I love their White House one and they had a temple one too but there were 2 - 3 I did here that was escaping an apartment or along those lines. Also it should be noted that these are hand-crafted so they won't be as immersive as some bigger chains - which I didn't have an issue with. I like going here and try to whenever my family is in town. Just wish they had more rooms and more variety!

We had a great time with this escape room! The museum heist mystery was engaging from start to…read morefinish, and the puzzles were clever and satisfying to solve. I'd rate the difficulty as medium to difficult. Even though we needed a few clues along the way, it never took away from the fun--in fact, it kept the game moving and made the experience even more enjoyable. This was one of the most fun escape rooms we've done, and we'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging and entertaining adventure!

We have done many escape rooms and Breakout is one of our favorites! We even have the box set…read morecalled Dispatch that you do at home, not sure if this is an option anymore since we got it in 2018. This company definitely got some things right! The service here has always been exceptional. Breakout along with other companies are moving away from the standard key and combo locks and integrating more "magic" as one of the hosts called it. More moving parts and ones that just open automatically when a puzzle is solved which is much more fun so if you haven't been in a while I'd say this is your cue to book a new room. My favorite room at this location was Do Not Disturb which doesn't exist in Ohio anymore but most recently we did Museum Heist. It was engaging with clues that could be solved by kids and adults. We had a party of five and made it out in time with our youngest player being 13. The clues are fun and challenging and the hints are given on a TV screen when you ask for them. I do prefer the ones where you can just speak to the host but these hints are specific to what you ask, you just may have to walk to the other room to see the TV. That is the only slightly negative thing I have to say because we love this company! If you've never been then this is a good place to start because they all seem passionate about escape rooms and making sure people enjoy it. For anyone who has done multiple escape rooms or plans to, you should check out the Morty app if you don't have it already!
