Wow, is all I can say! I'm still in disbelief. Jared has the patience of a saint. He truly made the impossible happen. We searched for a "needle in the haystack" type of property for almost a year. We came across a couple properties during this time that could really work out for us and both property's came with tons of challenges. The first property fell through due to some family issues with the seller; however, Jared tried for two months to make that property work. Maybe it's a blessing it didn't work because a few months later, another property came up that better fit our needs. Unfortunately, this property was yet another challenge (i.e. issues with appraisals versus sellers asking price). Nothing discouraged Jared and he was not letting the deal slip away! We first met Jared to look at homes in Leander / Round Rock / Georgetown on June 29, 2019. We closed on our new build in Leander on March 31, 2020. We've lived in our new home for almost 2 months and couldn't be happier with it. We have Jared to thank. A bit about Ninny and I: we are married, almost 2 years, with no kids. We lived in San Francisco for 6 years before moving to the Greater Austin area. Ninny's coworker referred us to Jared in early June 2019. On June 29, he picked us up from our hotel at 8 a.m. and drove us around Leander / Round Rock / Georgetown to show us a number of homes. The day ended at In-N-Out, where he told us about the garden pond he built, his love for his mom, and his career journey from Orange County, CA to Austin, TX. It was a fun and informative day, during which he treated us like friends. He listened intently to what our priorities were: close proximity to work, school districts, space to grow, and more. He knew we were in no hurry to move from San Francisco, but he still worked with us regularly to get us into what would give us everything we wanted. After several email and text threads and another late July 2019 visit during which Jared showed us more homes, Ninny and I decided on a new build in Leander. In the next few weeks, we asked countless questions on Jared's opinion about brick, stone, trim paint, and doors. He met with us at the design center where we picked out our new build options. He guided us to favorable decisions that would increase day to day convenience or home value, while steering us away from common pitfalls of things that people often buy (but don't need or could get done post-close). For closing, Jared acted as liaison to our title company, Capital Title who were confusing to work with. He also acted as a mediator when our GFO representative pushed back our close date first to March 24, and then again to March 31. Despite people telling us to expect our builder to be late, it still sucked, particularly since we needed to plan travel and movers cross-country. But Jared offered to do both our initial and final walkthroughs in our stead, if GFO wasn't able to accommodate our travel dates. He also offered to store our car for several weeks until we officially moved, since we purchased the car before our close date changed. Generally, he was the steady professional who kept us confident with our decision to move to Leander. He was highly dedicated, very communicative, and easy to work with. Timelines worked out so that Ninny and I were there in person for our initial and final walkthroughs. For both, Jared was alongside us, looking for final corrections and missed paint jobs about which to alert our construction manager. We survived the changing close dates uncertainty, the scramble of moving cross country during COVID-19, and the furniture buying required to upsize. We love our new home. For all of our belly aching, GFO gave us a quality build that surpassed our expectations. And we wouldn't be here, safely sheltered in place in our beautiful new home, without Jared. I was working with Jared for a few months looking to buy a house in Austin. I thought things were going great. My price range is a little strict so I only asked to see a few houses every now and then. There was a period of about six weeks where I didn't ask to go see any homes because I didn't see any that were appealing to me online. Jared did keep in touch with me via text and I let him know that. I hadn't stopped looking, I just wasn't seeing anything interesting and was re-evaluating my budget and the neighborhoods I was looking at it.
