I was in the area and stumbled upon Te'amo in Doraville. I'm so glad I did! Their drink menu is actually insane. I've never seen so many unique, delicious-sounding options in one place. I had my sights set on the Coconut Pudding. I wanted that Ube, but I was totally heartbroken because they were already sold out! I ended up pivoting to the Mango version instead, and it was incredible. The staff was cheerful and very apologetic on the sold out Ube. Such a sweet helper. The best part? Came here for the first time last night and came away with a good experience. Note: TE'AMO in Doraville is not the same as Teamo in Sandy Springs. TE'AMO is located at the same address as Kanpai BBQ and Shabu Shabu, and Lao Szechuan, in the very popular Asian Square. There is a big shared parking lot, but there are so many businesses sharing it that parking can be a little challenging at times. Fortunately, last night was not one of those times, maybe because it was still Thanksgiving and maybe most people were at home experiencing food comas. TE'AMO is the first business that people normally see as soon as they walk through the front doors, since it's directly facing the doors. The signs are huge, bright and eye-catching, and don't display any prices. The one sign that caught my eye before walking through the front doors said that there was a special - basically buy two drinks and get a third one free. This sounded great to me, since there were two of us and I was going to pay for two drinks anyhow. The two employees working were very helpful. We were originally ordering at the front counter, but were told that we could only get the buy two drinks get a third one free special if we used the order kiosk. Uh, OK. I was looking for two specific drinks for myself - a boba milk tea and a lemonade. The other drink ended up being a boba milk tea. The list of available drinks is long, and the employees were very happy to come around to our side of the counter to help us find the drinks we wanted to order. There were lots of varieties of drinks on the menu that I immediately stopped looking as soon as I ordered my two drinks - T-Original Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and T-Classic Organic Milk Tea. The service was quick and efficient. When the cups were given to us, although they looked cool because they were different, I was actually disappointed that the drink cups were sealed with an aluminum pull tab lid, the same kind that are found on the tops of soda cans. In my opinion, the pull tab lids on the TE'AMO cups were more difficult to fully remove and once the lids are pulled off the liquid can get splashed around in your vehicle if you're on the go. I also thought the price points were a little on the higher side than their competitors. The flavors of my lemonade and the boba tea were good. The boba here had a nice chew but it was a little sweeter than I prefer. There are tables and chairs to sit at inside, but I would not recommend coming here in a large group and staying to enjoy your drinks (or mochi donuts that they sell from a clear display at the counter). read more

Pricey, boring, and underwhelming. The atmosphere has potential. First glance it looks super cute. It's a three businesses in one type of deal. I'm assuming they share owners or something as customer service all around sucks. We were not greeted at all, by either businesses. There was a worker there and a kiosk but there was no hello or acknowledgement at all. I proceeded to order and since I've worked in the Restaurant business before I don't ever mind tipping, although I usually prefer to tip after I had my food. We chose to get Boba. I got a Matcha drink and a mango milk tea. Matcha was OK just too sweet even for 50%. The Tapioca itself was actually pretty good. The mango milk tea was bad. It tasted like it had a whisper of mango and the rest of it was just skim milk.You would think since you tip before they would try to at least bring you your drink or something (There was literally no customers) but nope they just left it on the table. Didn't even say the order number or anything. Which is fine, I guess but geez. So the place is cute and all, but why are all the tables dirty? The place in general had a smell of dirty mop water. What I found very amusing was that as we left an older white couple entered and were greeted immediately and very loudly. What a change in customer service LOL. Just thought it was very funny because I guess they didn't find it appealing and left. This COULD be a great spot. Sometimes a place doesn't even have to be that good for people to go. Cheesecake was decent and I enjoyed the texture but didn't need the popping boba and would have liked a contrasting texture like crust so the whole thing wasn't mushy throughout. read more

Was so excited to try te'amo since their drinks are soooo cute, but overall the experience was very average. Te'amo is located in the same building as kanpai and Lao Szechuan but right when you walk in. There's tablets to order or you can go to the cashier. I got Thai tea with half sweetness and then took a milk tea with boba home for my fiancé. Drinks came out very quickly and the people there were nice, but the cups and their soda can lids are more for aesthetics than actual use. I was so worried about launching my drink everywhere while peeling back the can and idk there's just something so satisfying about poking your straw through the lid. The Thai tea was alright but had a weird taste to it so I probably wouldn't get it again. The regular milk tea and boba were good though! Overall I thought te'amo was very average. There are much better boba shops in the area so I'll probably only go if I'm eating around there. read more

The shop is in Asian Square plaza, same plaza with Sweet Hut and Kamayan. I visited on a Sunday morning and the whole plaza parking lot was packed. It's very difficult to find a parking spot. Mostly because more than half of the shops in the plaza area are restaurants. The boba tea shop is right in front when you walk in the door. It's a combo system restaurant. Inside the place, the left and right are the restaurants, and the boba tea is a small shop in the middle. Because the boba tea is right in front after you walk in the door so the space for the line up is kind of limited. The placement of the self-order kiosk also makes it challenging for the ordering process. The kiosk is right in the cashier area so there are several people packed at the cashier while others are waiting in line. I was in line for a while until I realized you can just come straight to the cashier to order, instead of waiting at the kiosk line. The kiosk line is right next to the cashier so most people will think that's the line to wait for ordering. There's only 1 piece of paper menu at the cashier which is full of people standing there to do kiosk orders. If you stand too far from the shop, it's not easy to view the menu on the light board on the wall behind the shop. Later while waiting, I saw lots of the boba tea shop menu at the table of the receptionist for the restaurant. But they won't give it to you if you don't ask, and people won't ask because they think the reception table belongs to the restaurants, not the boba shop. The staff are friendly. They have a diverse menu but there's no option for non-caffeine milk tea. I got: - Rose jasmine milk tea with cheese foam (they call it white foam here) and crystal boba: the taste is okay - Ube mochi donut: too sweet for me but my bf likes it. - Double coconut panna cotta: the texture is not a thick jelly line but more falling apart. I'm not a fan of the can package drink. It looks cool but doesn't work so well for me. I broke the ring on the can when trying to open my milk tea at home, and had to use a knife to open and lift the can lid off, unnecessary struggle for drinking a milk tea. ORDER Lavender Matcha Latte - not too sweet. The lavender tastes a lot more prominent than the Matcha taste, but the Matcha is well dissolved. A bit on the sweeter side but still yummy White Moustache Ube Organic Milk Drink - this drink is not too sweet. I also got it with the Boba. The Boba is on the chewy side and tastes pretty good. The Ube flavor is well defined, and it tastes good. Volcano Thai Milk Tea - this drink is a little bit on the sweeter side, but definitely taste like Thai milk tea. There is a good milk two tea ratio and it's overall not too milky. White Moustache Osmanthus Oolong tea - I got the drink at 25% sugar which was perfect. There's a prominent tea flavor, which tastes delicious. Coconut Panna Cotta - I got the coconut Panna cotta with lychee and mango jelly. It's not too sweet and the coconut flavor goes well with the jelly. Matcha Mille Crepe - there's a good watch of flavor and there's not too much powder on top. Also, the layers are a little bit on the stiffer side, which give the crêpe cake good structure, and make it easy to eat. It's also not too heavy on the cream so it's not as sweet which I personally like. Cheesecake Bao Ube - the bao taste pretty good! The outside of the bao is a little bit on the harder side than I would've hoped compared to regular bao, but the gooey inside is so delicious with the Ube flavor. It is also not too sweet, which my family really enjoyed. VIBES This place is next to a Shabu Shabu Buffet. The decorations are cute with pink and plants. They have a couple tables of seating with comfy chairs. SERVICE We use a self service kiosk, so there wasn't too much interaction, but the person who was packing the order, asked if I wanted to go. I like them even better because they're trying to make their drink with healthier ingredients, which can alter the common taste a bit for their drinks compared to others. It sits inside the same area as Kanpai BBQ & Shabu Shaba and Lao Szechuan, so if you are looking for dessert after grubbing on some Japanese barbecue and shabu shabu or Szechuan food, then this place has it all! You place an order through their self-service kiosk, but there are also staff behind the counters to assist you if necessary. I ordered the Sunrise Smoothie and Ube Cheesecake Bao. The Sunrise Smoothie (and their drinks in general) comes in a beautiful color inside a can, so it definitely looks and feels pretty cool. Inside the Sunrise Smoothie were strawberry and mango flavors. It did not taste too sweet; it tasted just right. Super yummy and refreshing after a meal! The Ube Cheesecake Bao was yummy as well, but not a favorite of mine. I did not think that the bun itself was too sweet as the sweetness was mostly in the cream cheese filling. However, it is a pretty dessert to look at. My friend got the Classic Organic Milk Tea, which she loved, as well as the Strawberry Mochi Donut, which she thought tasted a bit stale (although we did get there near closing). I like that this place is right in between two other restaurants in a gorgeous new building--gives you an excuse to grab boba/dessert after eating a nice meal. The ube drinks are quite good--the dalgona coffee with ube tastes like Kopiko candy with an ube aftertaste. Their basque cheesecake is also nice; not too sweet (the kid got a blueberry basque cheesecake and she almost ate the entire thing by herself). I got a regular oolong tea with crystal boba and it was nice and refreshing. Only thing is that their cups are cute and you open it like a soda can then peel off the lid, but then you have this giant opening and I'm scared to drive with it like that. Really like the concept because it has soooo much more to offer than just traditional milk tea. I had an iced ube milk which was bruleed on top, at 75% sweetness and it was just perfect. I typically don't order milk teas at night because of the caffeine in the tea, so milk drinks are ideal for me. My bf had the banana milk drink and it was also very tasty. Cute/unique packaging too! I noticed they also have flavored lemonades which I will definitely return to try. Sadly the food items we ordered were sub-par. The mochi donuts were dry and more like a regular donut than others I've had with the chewy goodness you usually get from mochi. We also didn't love the crepe cake, which is a bummer because it was super expensive. I would go back for the drinks but not sure I'd order a dessert again. We shared her Sunrise smoothie (half mango half strawberry) which was pretty sweet, but sweetness level could not be adjusted. The concept of the container is cool but the reality is a bit danger since it is an exposed and sharp edge right where your face/hand is. We also got their Ube & everything baos but unfortunately not got to try it due to traveling and lack of refrigeration as there is cream inside. Interior is cutely and brightly decorated as with most boba spots. However, because it shares space with two additional establishments, there are scant options for seating. The whole canned boba is interesting. However, I think opening the can takes a special touch. I think the twice that I ordered from here, both times the can ring to open the can broke off. Went to check this out today & it was just ok....I'd give it 2.5 stars if i could. I don't like that there are no descriptions of anything either on printed menu or kiosk. The strawberry milk boba was the best of the 3 we had. Thai volcano was ok. Strawberry lemonade with strawberry jelly was like tart water with jelly at the bottom that won't come up the straw . While the packaging is cute & all that - the plastic bottle with the metal pop top lid is gimmicky & wasteful. No recycling present. Ironically the straws are recycled bamboo. The ube mochi donut was pretty tasty. All in all - i've had better. Too many other options close by to repeat this one anytime soon. read more
