One and done. I wish I had followed my first instinct to do an about face when I saw no one in this cafe on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I ordered a cheese foam oolong tea. First offense: I asked specifically for the small size b/c I had never been here before and cashier rang me up for a large anyway. I notice businesses pulling that move a lot when they get little foot traffic and I wish I had called them out on it. Second Offense: I didn't see any sweetness levels signage which is standard in tea shops and the cashier didn't ask what level I wanted so I assumed it defaulted to 100%. Wrong, it defaults to zero. Would not recommend coming here at all based on our visit. We ordered the honey tea drink, which was not sweet and bitter. A friend of mine was almost injured when a chair broke when he was leaning back when he could have been injured. He was charged $75 dollars for this, which is an absurd amount to charge for a safety hazard that they made us unfairly pay for. I love the name of this place, it's v cute, and I find it quite clever. The inside feels like a nice place to study. The area to order is next to all the windows, so it lets in a lot of light at the front of the shop, but further in is a dimmer, warmer lit area that's v nice. Plants line one wall and the decor of the place makes it feel comfortable. As for the drinks, some of them come in regular size only, which is their largest size. The drinks themselves are on the pricier side, and they offer customizations that drives up the cost more. It is nice that they offer milk alternatives though for people who can't have lactose or want a healthier option. Not that my friend or I made such changes. My drink came up to ~$9 and my friend's drink ended up ~$11 after tax and tip. I ordered the strawberry matcha with less sugar and my friend ordered the triple purple, both of which were regular sized only. I like the cups that they came in. They weren't flimsy and the top has an opening for the straw so no need to poke through with the straw. - The strawberry matcha had no matcha flavor! None! Whether that is due to proportions (my drink seemed more strawberry than anything, pic as proof) or some other factor, I'm not sure. All I can say is that even with less sugar, the drink itself was v sweet for me. The strawberry jam is overpowering, it's the most prominent flavor. It helps sell that the drink contains strawberry, but it completely overshadowed the matcha. Despite strawberry being my favorite fruit, this was not the drink for me. It tasted too much like a dessert bc of the jam. Akin to a strawberry shortcake made into a drink. - My friend's drink, triple purple, was good. It sounded better than it ended up being though. Coconut milk tea with ube, taro ice cream, and taro boba. The addition of ube was nice as I don't often see it used in bubble tea. This is more of a 3.5, but I rounded down for my friend. She kind of had regrets afterwards when we ate dinner since her favorite appetizers were cheaper than her drink and brought her more happiness. I feel as though we ordered the wrong drinks, and I wouldn't mind coming here again to try their fruit tea in the summer. I feel like it would be refreshing and since most of them are in a regular size, it would be nice to walk around with. So I have very suddenly become a huge fan of milk tea. A few years ago, I didn't even like it, but now I am so addicted. I have been trying out all of the boba spots near me, and everytime I swear I have found the best place, but I am convinced, this one wins best all around. ***LOCATION*** Plenty of parking out front and also in the same shopping center as some of my other fave local spots! The Springs Cinema and Taproom (a family owned local dinner theater with great prices) and a few permanent food trucks with nice outdoor seating right in the same lot! Perfect for dinner, movie and boba! ***ATMOSPHERE*** The atmosphere is 12/10! Definitely one of the main factors this place wins best all around! I am used to working in coffee shops when I want to get out of the house, but recently with my boba addiction, I have been looking for a great boba cafe-like spot. This is it. First of all... great wifi connection and there are little table toppers with the password everywhere. No awkward hunt to find it. (It is teamo2018 if you still didn't see it). Power outlets at EVERY table! We love that. LOTS of seating and lots of booth seating! Very comfy and the inside is pretty dimly lit with some natural lighting coming from the windows in the front. I like that because I hate when there are too many bright lights or too many windows all around causing glares on my screen. I also think the layout is perfect because it is booth seating everywhere with one side having chairs. The main strip of seating is a long wall of booth and regular seats facing you. Great layout for those working from home and needing a certain amount of privacy. Your back is to the wall so no one is really seeing your screen! There was no one here earlier, now there is one other guy across the room. I feel boba places are less likely to attract students or people working from home, so I kind of like that it seems to be a hidden gem. It is quiet with music playing just loud enough but not blaring. It is very comfy and easy to focus! I see there are board games on every other table... and lots of them! I will definitely be bringing friends back to hang out on the weekend. This seems like such a fun and chill spot! They even have a booth with Nintendo set up in the back! I love it! The decor is so nice as well. Really just an overall relaxing and chill vibe! ***STAFF*** Very nice! Greeted me when I walked in and made sure to ask all of the questions (sweetness level, ice level, toppings, etc). She made the drink in a few minutes and called my name out to pick it up! ***PRICE*** Standard for boba, but I do like they they have 2 different sizes! I usually pay around 6$ for a drink most places give or take 50 cents. Then usually leave a tip! ***DRINKS*** Again, still haven't branched out to try new things. I am too obsessed with milk tea. I got my usual milk tea with tapioca half sweet and light ice (30% here). I like that they have 2 sizes! I got the regular size (the larger one) of course lol. In general most of the places I have tried lately taste very similar. Honestly, this one was very slightly under the bar. Most places, I am getting 10/10 on flavor but this one is like 9.5/10. Nothing serious by any means but there is a little something less good about it but extremely minor. The sweetness for me was perfect, just like everywhere else and trust me I hate when it is too sweet. After seeing a couple comments I think it may be the watery-ness. It does feel very slightly watery. Still tastes great but if I had to be a food critic, I'd say it barely places behind other boba in the area on taste. Size however, love it! And I also loved the proportions. I felt like I had more tea and less boba. I personally don't like when the boba fills half the cup and after you drink the tea, there's like half a cup of pearls left. This was the perfect ratio of a pearl per sip and I liked that! Ice level was great too! Still overall for ratio and size and even taste it is a great drink! ***BATHROOMS*** 1 individual room per gender. Not gender neutral. Very clean, they even had seat covers. Regular toilet - not automatic flush. Regular soap dispenser and faucet but hands free paper towels. The door unlocks when you push the handle down, so easy to open with elbow and push out with shoulder. ***CONCLUSION*** 100% will be my go-to for working or hanging out with friends. If I am in the area I will also stop in and grab a drink here to-go as well. I also love that Teamo is a local family owned shop and definitely think we should support them! This place is near my work office so some of us decided to get some boba to celebrate returning to the office. I got the Supreme Fruit Tea which was came a fairly large (regular) size. It came with lots of cut fruit inside it, most notably blueberry, lemon, and kiwi. With 50% sugar and 50%/less ice, the taste was pretty good. I also got popping lychee boba which were as described - they popped and had a nice lychee flavoring. For $7-ish, it seemed to be a little on the pricier side for a fruit tea - the size was fairly large but about half of it was filled with the cut fruit and the remaining depending on how much ice you requested. All the fruit also impeded my ability to get to the boba at the bottom LOL but I suppose that's really a non-issue. Overall the flavor is pretty good and I'm sure very natural, hence the higher price point. If it's worth it will depend on you but definitely not bad at all. read more

I can't believe I haven't been here before during my quest to find the best bubble tea places in Atlanta, but I'm so glad I was finally able to give it a try this past weekend. Teamo is located in a super busy area of sandy springs next to egg harbor and chipotle. Depending on which direction you're coming from, it's a pain to get in/out of the shopping center because of the traffic, and it's pretty difficult to find a parking spot, but it's well worth the driving annoyance. You have to call in to place an order, and then pay them through a third party payment app like Venmo or PayPal. They'll bring the teas to a table set outside whenever they're ready, and you go and pick it up there. I got a strawberry mango fruit tea and thought it was one of the best fruit teas I've had in Atlanta! The drink came with small chunks of strawberries and mangos, and was super fruity and refreshing. We came here tonight to get a milk tea, but came away from this experience disappointed. Lots of parking paces available in the large free parking lot shared with a whole lot of other popular businesses. I like that there is one door to enter through and one door for exiting. Face masks are required of all customers, and there is a box of disposable cloth face masks at the door if you don't have one on you when you enter. The menu is displayed on a couple of easily readable monitors. There is a decent selection of teas, including fruit, milk, matcha and cheese, and an amazing twenty different types of toppings, like boba, and both cheese and coconut foams. Milk tea prices include 1 topping of your choice. The employee who was covering the order counter was friendly and efficient. There is a lot of seating inside, in booths and at regular tables, and the entire dining area is clean and welcoming. One of the booths had stacked of games for customers to play - Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Jenga, Life, and Connect4, among others. Tonight, R and I both ordered original milk teas with boba. R asked for less boba and 30% ice. I requested 30% ice and 30% sugar. We got our drinks within 5 minutes, but we grabbed our cups and left quickly so that we could rush to another business. At the time, I noticed the bottom of my cup was hot, so, apparently, the boba was very hot when they were put into the cup. However, I didn't give it a thought as I was concentrating on getting to our next destination. It wasn't until later, when we weren't anywhere near teamo tea cafe, when we tasted our milk teas. R found out that his milk tea was very light on the sugar. He said that it tasted like there wasn't any sugar added. Both of our teas tasted watered down in spite of them being ordered with only 30% ice. I can't imagine how much more watered down the drink would've been if it was 100% ice! Anyhow, awful teas. Not sure what changed within the last couple of months but the last couple of times I went, I was not too impressed by the taste of the tea, unlike the first time I went which was pretty awesome. I'm certainly no tea making expert but it seemed like one of the times, my tea may not have been mixed well?....I could see some of whatever is put in it sort of hanging on the side of the wall of the cup. The taste was just different, it's a bit hard to explain what it tastes like. I'm certain not discouraging anyone to go there. Please do keep going there by all means, maybe someone can recommend a good tea to me as i usually get just a variation of the milk teas with the tapioca pearls.
