It was quite obvious from them having to constantly consult the equipment manual to program the new key that they were very new to this process. having to wait in an unheated facility for approximately 2 hours was also another red flag. After several trips to the vehicle, the employee admitted he had no idea why the new key would not work. This is not the first time I had to replace a lost remote key, and the process usually takes about 15 minutes. A wonderful personality is a huge attribute when dealing with clients, but without the necessary knowledge, the results will always fall short.

We had a 50+ year old non-standard lock that we needed to fix. Another locksmith "service" sent…read moresomeone to the house for an $80 fee just to look and told us it would cost hundreds of dollars. I removed the lock and brought it to Shaw's actual, local store in Bergenfield, and they quickly understood what I needed and very inexpensively made the repair. My advice - don't use a "service" claiming to be in the area that then subs out a job, but find an actual, established local locksmith. We couldn't be more happy with Shaw's work and we'll definitely use them again.

Came here after going to another locksmith in the area that couldn't get a broken key out of my…read moreignition (super glue and broken tools were left inside). The team of locksmiths here at Ace worked together to attempt to get it out the ignition, with no success. Then, after I took out the ignition myself, they worked on it right then and there to remove the key and created two new keys. They are very transparent and emphasize customer care. Now my ignition is just like new! 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
