We've all been there...... Go to fire up my 10-year old Dell XPS8300 and nada,,,,, So, I scrambled to buy a new one from Costco (which I took back but that's another review elsewhere). T4L transferred the data from the old hard drive to my new computer with their fingers crossed for fear the old hard drive would ghost. IN Sept. of 2017 my van had a roll over in another state on my way to Arizona. This damaged my laptop because it was on the dashes counter directing my trip to Arizona using the road map. This laptop was brought to this place and I was charged for a diagnosis. HE NEVER TESTED IT ALL JUST THE DRIVE AND THEN CHARGED ME A SECOND TIME TO TEST TO MOTHERBOARD AND OTHER COMPONENTS. IT WAS OVER $50.00. The tech here said in order to fix this drive you will have to take it too a place that has CLEAN ROOM. Because this place didn't have one. BUT what they did have was a careless person who took the top off anyway to look inside. When the drive was taken to another place for diagnosis that lady said there is a FINGER PRINT TYPE SMUDGE ON THE DRIVE. SOMEONE WITH A GLOVE ON TOOK THIS COVER OFF HERE AND TOUCHED THIS DRIVE DISC. THIS DRIVE IS DESTROYED. She also said the cover has been pried off with a small tool on the edges. THIS LAPTOP HAS AN AUTO REPAIR PROGRAM I CANNOT GET ANYWHERE ELSE EVER AGAIN. read more

I was having email problems and receiving a lot of spam. Steve (whom I've known since our first invoice in 2004) called back and got rid of the spam, updated passwords and cleared the problem! But..............after that was taken care of I received NO emails for the next three days! My mother just passed away from a terrible disease ALS. The past two years caring for her and then her passing has turned my family's world upside down. I made videos as a tribute to my Mom on my iPad using iMovie but when I sent the videos out to family and friends most people were unable to view it. I called every company I could find in the phonebook (8 or more) and no one could help me. Finally someone recommended I call Tech 4 Life. I spoke to Branden and from the start he showed such kindness, compassion, and really wanted to help me especially when he learned of my situation and saw me in my grief. I originally wanted them to make 100 DVDs to pass out at the funeral but they suggested something far better. Brendan, Collen, Steve, and their team spent FOUR days with me helping me. They created a YouTube account and a Google account for me walking me through the process step by step. They uploaded my video from IMovie (Apple) and created a link and a way for EVERYONE to view my videos. By suggesting I do it this way instead of making 100 DVDs, they saved me a lot of money and headaches. They only charged me $69 which was way, way less then I expected especially for the time they spent helping me. These videos were very important to me as they told the story of my Mom's life. I tried and tried to reach out to them to have them assist with a simple issue, but it was nearly impossibe to get them to call us back. My parents live in Cave Creek and needed some help so we tried to use these guys because they're local. Fortunately for them they must be really busy because we called several times and only received one call back. Steve left a message for us, and we literally called back just a few moments later and it went to voicemail again. I was traveling cross country and stopped to visit my parents. Was only in town for 2 days. I had an issue with my computer for a week and asked my parents to call their tech company in town to see if they had time to look at it. It was a Friday morning and they said they were busy but to drop it off and they would look at it when they had a free moment. I had my computer back within a few hours and they fixed the issue. Not that I want to belabor the issue but again Mr woods your staff when I called & explained my situation assured me they would take a quick look & there would be NO CHARGE. To reiterate the situation I explained that the laptop was a very inexpensive one and it would be foolish to throw good money after bad so I would just like them to take a look at it and see if it was extensive or not. if it was extensive then the insurance company would have to then be sent the computer. I signed the paper under protest when your young man told me to come back and get it . It suddenly had" money is due.'I paid it not wanting to cause a scene. You alluded to the fact that I needed an estimate and you didn't want to give me one since you found nothing wrong with the computer I don't know how three other stores did find something wrong with it but wanted to send it out for repair before they gave me an estimate. You seem to be implying that I wanted you to write something not true and I take great offense at your implications. By the way Steve... the computer is still not working right!!! And bought an iPad Being a senior I try to deal with places that do what they say. In this case I failed miserably. read more

Tech 4 Life completed the original design of our website. Depths of the Earth Company is a very unique business entity: part manufacturing, part science research, part academic institution. We dont fit into an ordinary template so Tech4Life made a custom site that perfectly represents the company while serving our customers. The organization and ease of navigation of the site is fantastic. After 4 years it was time for an update/face lift of the site. Carly was responsive to my request to bring modern tech to the site and a new fresh look without changing content. She updated our searchability and made recommendations to bring the site to optimal presentation. I appreciate that Carly took the time to clearly describe to me the operation of the new features and how they would improve the website. I recently asked her to update our SSL and "shazam!" it was done in 10 minutes and she got our webhost service to make a refund on unnecessary certificates. The cost of the website original design and make over is the most affordable and efficient use of an advertising budget. I told these guys what my computer was doing and the program that caused the problems. They had several days to figure out the problem. When I picked up my computer they suggested getting a new computer. They said they got it to work there at the shop. I brought it home and still had the same problem. After hours of stress trying to figure out how to get my PC to work...Finally I did a restore point. It fixed the problem. They charged me $39.00 to do nothing. read more

I am repairing damage done by Tech "4" Life to the computer of very smart octogenarian. He needed help restoring all his files from a backup drive to his computer after HP replaced his hard drive sans personal files. His backup drive was pretty new (usb 3.0) and had a one month old complete backup. Jesse told him his backup drive had to be "reformatted" and promptly wiped out his personal files. Jesse then attempted to recover the damage and handed the client his drive with about 200 "restored" nonsense files. He told the customer it was "your fault." This gentleman did everything right, recent backup, good backup drive, hired the local advertiser. In exchange he lost every photo and file of his deceased wife and was belittled by a tech whose opinion of himself is way out of touch with reality. If your technology is part of your life, don't even consider trusting it to these guys. The number "4" in their name says alot, since most of the world considers 4 to be the most unlucky number. It is the same word as "death" in Chinese. read more

Tech 4 Life sent a technician to my friend's house in Carefree when her computer was frozen by a nasty virus. The tech guy was efficient and polite, and not only eradicated the virus, but made sure that the virus protection program was up to date, the backup program was running properly, temporary files were deleted, and the disk was cleaned up. The price was incredibly fair. If you live in the Carefree area and need technical support, give these guys a call! read more
