I was on my computer and downloaded a "clean up" program and used it. Then computer screen went black. Highly upset thought I checked connections but had missed the fact that the cord from monitor had loosened from tower. Unbelievable service and an incredibly affordable rate. Dropped off an iMac that has been incredibly slow and not performing well. Our 9 year old Falcon investing computer's power source exploded -- literally. Marcus replaced the power supply, and suggested we also get a solid state hard drive. They were quick, efficient, and had us back up in a day and a half for a fair price, and that new drive made it run much much faster. I brought my laptop computer into My Discount Tech and a couple of hours later it was fixed I dropped it in my car and they completely fixed it all for a reasonable price with fast and very friendly service. SUPERIOR SERVICE should be the rest of their name. My problem is not unique. I am a WiFi/Cable user with the only game in town (Cox) looking for options. I placed my objectives on Yelp and got responses from about 4 different tech companies. RAD was a diamond in a pile of dirt. The owner, Mark, took tons of time explaining things to me, gave me some service tips, but above and beyond all never tried to do anything except help. No hourly rates were even mentioned. This was all pro bono and done over chat since I am deaf and have no way to use a phone. He checked back with me at least 6 times to see if there was anything else he could possibly do. The best part was another check-in today to remind me that he and his company are glad to help. So I have to take my computer back to fix it. Nick fixed it but it stopped working maybe a month later, something related with the hard drive. Nick is not there anymore, he sold it to Mark who used to work for him. I must say that he is carrying Nick's good business values. He listened to what I had to say, he offered to fix it at no cost. He offered a new hard drive, an Internal Solid State Drives (SSD), he ordered it and I paid the amount he was charged for it plus he offered to upgrade the old operating system my computer had to W10 at no extra cost. He took the time to explain to me why a SSD would be a better option than the old one. He also offered the option of fixing the hard drive Nick installed, at no cost. I decided to go with the SSD, best decision ever! My computer is super super fast!! I must say that I'm very happy with the service and professionalism that Mark and his fiance showed. They went above and beyond making sure that I was happy. I am very happy. My computer is fast and is working perfectly. It's a six year old one running like a brand new one. His fiance who is a comp tech as well, called a few days later to check if everything was going fine and that if I had any question. This a local business that you can 100% trust. It's a good feeling knowing that you are not being ripped off and/or taking advantage of if you are not computer savvy. I highly recommend this shop. When searching for a PC repair place, this was the top selection and I was pleased to see all of the positive reviews. I drove there this morning thinking I would have to wait for a good portion of my day off and that it would take a couple of days to get my laptop back. Boy was I wrong! I was greeted right away and we discussed what was wrong with my laptop. The interaction was professional and I was told there was a free evaluation and he would call once he figured out what the issue was. No sooner than I had driven home that I had a call telling me what the issues were and that I could everything fixed for $128. This was great news for me since I had figured I would be buying a new laptop and that my old one had to be put out to pasture. I was quoted 2-2.5 hours to get the repair done and that is exactly what it was. The quote provided was also exactly what my final bill was. After calling around to many places and hearing again and again that the part I needed to replace my laptop's charging port would take a week or more to get, I finally came across Nick at My Discount Tech, who immediately said he would try to fix it without having to order the part which would get me my laptop back the same day!!
