The problem is that I am plus size and often the items I can order run small, don't come in my size and are usually not available to try on. Enter Custom Ink! Custom Ink has two showrooms in my area. One turned out to be minutes from my office in West Princeton. The other is in KOP which is an easily accessible area. The showrooms have samples of all the types of clothing and accessories you can have customized. Sadly for me there were only 2 plus size items that I could try on but I made them work! Almost all of the samples in the store were medium and large which limited who could actually make the most of the showroom. I would love to see more in store options available in a variety of sizes. Also, some items in the store can only be ordered in a quantity of 6 but there are several that you can order individually like I did. Once you pick your pieces you get to work with graphic artist to design what you want your item to say. Dj is the designer who worked with me. He had a great knack for picking fonts that work well with others. Together we designed both of my shirts until I was totally happy with the graphic. DJ even ran it by other employees for their feedback because each person in the store has an eye for what will work well. Each of my shirts came to $34. Pricy for a t-shirt but its a t-shirt that I helped to design and I know it will fit. That makes the shirt pretty close to priceless. This was a super fun experience and as long as the shirts hold up I expect I'll be back.
