These guys literally want to rob you when you go in. Went there to get a small rock chip repaired on a Toyota 4Runner. I was quoted $159 plus tax. I can get a new windshield through my insurance company for $100. Why would I pay $159 plus tax for a repair they won't even guarantee not to crack. Stay far away from these guys. They used to charge $20 for Rock chip repairs and now it's 8 times more expensive at $159. They are scam artists read more

We took a quick trip to Salt Lake City a couple of weeks ago to see my sister in law who just recently had a baby. We were only 20 minutes away and a rock hit our windshield on the highway and we had a rock chip that could possibly spread or crack the window. Dropped my car off today to get my windshield fix. About 45 minutes later I got a call informing me that there was an issue when replacing the windshield. I was informed that just after they put in my windshield they were lowering my wiper blades and it broke the windshield. I was thinking oh great am I going to have to pay for this? Without skipping a beat he said don't worry we are going to replace it with no cost to you. The only problem is we need to wait about a week so the glue will dry and not make a mess. I asked him to take a look at my wipers and see if they can get them to stay in place as I was having problems About another 30 minutes passed when I got a call informing me my car was ready. Again without skipping a beat he was quick to let me know that because I am going to have to come back they replaced my wipers at their cost and we scheduled a time next week to get this fixed. In a day when everyone want to blame someone else and not make customers feel appreciated I am glad to see this company takes the initiative and meets the problem head on and makes sure they present a more than reasonable solution read more

Bad experience. I replaced window glass and after several days I found that the door was not fixed and almost fall off. I went back to have them fix it, and when they take off the door, they broke the door light! And they even want myself to buy a door light and replace it??!! Are you kidding me? I am paying to fix the car, now you broke it instead of fix it, and want me to do the remedy?? why not you pay me?? Eventually they say they will get me a new door light, and now i have been waiting for two weeks and there is no new light for me. Bad Bad Bad. Do not go!!! read more

I had the misfortune of getting my window broken on likely a failed theft. Called around and no one would replace my window with an original times window for my Xterra. Techniglass would install for $125+tax fee. Bought the widow, original and new in eBay and brought it in. Overal content with my service. Called about reservation- company uses outside call center to book. I made my appointment, and confirmed an hour ahead of time for a Saturday morning. When I arrived I was told that my appointment was cancelled but they had availability and it took about 35 minutes. If I didn't bring in my own window the service world have been $225+tax. I would recommend this after buying your own widow to bring in, if possible. Get a better window and avoid 100% markup on it as well. I would have paid more to get it fixed through the widow but it seemed like too generic a replacement. The widow looks to be installed well. I had gunk on the rubber insert from covering the hole with duct tape. Inside clean. Saw some cleaning residue on the inside. Outside needs a bit more cleaning. read more

This location has frustrated me the two (first and final) times I've used it. The first one was to replace a side window, where they proceeded to leave broken glass all over the front seats, the floor mats and anywhere else that glass pieces could conceivably get. This was also after failing to meet either of the first appointment times (had the cancel the first one because they couldn't get the actual window, second they were just late for). The second was to replace a windshield on-site. Since they offered that service, I took it, which was a mistake. Since I was at work, this resulted in a dirty seat and some papers I had on the passenger seat which were inconveniently moved. The guy putting it in was either in a hurry or incompetent or maybe both as he left a gap in the seal between the windshield and the cowl, which did a nice job of letting in air when traveling down the road. Fortunately, it didn't let in insects, that I could find, but for these guys being the sort of quasi-heavy hitters in town (if I recall correctly, they're typically the cheapest), they definitely have not done the job, at least with me, to earn any kind of good reputation... read more

Bummed to leave a bad review, but after talking several times with customer service, I left deeply disappointed. Techna glass came highly recommended from several friends, and I went in to get a chip repaired. It was hardly even visible but insurance pays for it, so I figured I'd get it taken care of. Everyone was very friendly and the job was quick. Upon getting back in my car, I see a crack emanating from the original chip that was about the length of a dollar bill. I got out of the car and went back inside. 'Um, there's a giant crack on my windshield that wasn't there when I brought it in.' They explained that sometimes that happens, and if it continues to crack I could come back for a full replacement. I left very confused as I don't have lots of experience with glass. Turns out this can happen (who knew?). Fast forward several weeks as I'm anxiously hoping the windshield continues to crack so they will replace it. The crack grows and grows and now covers the entire windshield up and down, side to side. I call to make an appt. for a replacement. 'Oh, you still have factory glass? That's not covered. It's only covered if it's our glass'. Several conversations later, customer service offered me a 'deep discount' which was still more than two other glass places I'd gotten quotes from, which is absurd. Especially as they were already paid by my insurance to crack my windshield in the first place. Chips happen, and apparently cracks from repairs can occasionally happen, however it was the poor communication that really made this experience awful. Next time, techna glass, let your customer know up front the risks of a chip repair - especially if it is in a perilous location on the windshield (and not just in fine print, if it's in there). Next, let your customer know the windshield was further compromised before they get back in to leave. Lastly, as someone who works in customer service, make every effort to keep said customer. You're going to lose a lot more money making one person (and their network) unhappy than making it right the first time. read more

The price and service were good. (Jordan at the front desk is great!) But I had a scheduling error through the call center. I called for an appointment and was told the "10th at 10." I even double checked and he said, "yep, that one should be easy enough to remember!" When I arrived I was in the computer for noon, thus throwing a monkey wrench in my day. These guys are the best! They got me in within a few hours on the same morning I called. When I got there the front desk staff was awesome and very helpful. The lobby is much nicer than I anticipated. They quoted me an hour and a half to get the work done but finished in 45 minutes! I couldn't believe it! Atrocious customer service! I'm approaching my mid sixties and have been driving for about 45 years. I can't tell you precisely how many windshields I've had replaced, but I can tell you the worst experience, and by a wide margin, was at TechnaGlass. A quote attributed to Ben Franklin Is "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the satisfaction of low price". That's as true today as it was when he said it, and the term "poor quality" applies to customer service as well as a physical product. There are quite a number of companies that replace windshields. I sincerely recommend you save yourself considerable disappointment, hassle, and frustration and go elsewhere, (maybe anywhere) for windshield repair or replacement. Even if you pay a little more, trust me, the cost difference more than offsets the misery of the TechnaGlass experience. read more

The workers, at least in Pleasant Grove on State Street, take no pride in their work. Their rock chip repairs are the worse and I have a longer crack since they "fixed" it. Bought a Groupon for lifetime chip repair and happened to be closest to this location. Great customer service. I'd drive out of my way to visit this location again if needed. Had a chip repaired at the 6200 location about a month ago and did not feel welcomed at all. Was kindly greeted by the receptionist and also by the tech in the garage. They scratched the surface paint of my vehicle while installing a new windshield and told me they aren't doing anything to help get it repaired. They said it would easily buff out. A professional body shop said the scratch is too deep and repainting is the only solution for a fix. I informed technaglass it won't buff out and needs repainted. They said: "We appreciate your business and we are not going to repair the scratch in your paint". *The car is new and now it has an official Technaglass scratch in its paint. Their customer service is horrible! And they do nothing to clean the mess they leave inside your vehicle. read more

Horrible experience. I had an appointment today for a windshield replacement. I got down to the office and they didn't have it in stock after I was told that it was in stock. The receptionist said that no one called her to see if it was in stock. I leave for a trip tomorrow and now I can't get the replacement. My time was wasted and my money was wasted. I had to get someone to watch my kids while I went to the appointment only to be turned away. I feel ripped off. I called the 800 number where I was told to go to Sandy or Pleasant grove instead and that they just couldn't send a mobile unit today. They also offered me free wipers as an incentive. I feel like they need to change their phone recording that talks about how much they care about their customers because I am extremely unhappy with the service and the customer care that was offered. Pick another location! Had my front windshield and sunroof replaced. Chris Lewis, the store manager, provided the worst possible customer service experience. When I picked up my car, the interior of my car near the sun roof was severely damaged, and the back sunroof visor no longer functions properly. It actually gets stuck down into the cavity of the car when opening the sun roof, and has to be pried out. Chris Lewis claimed these damages were already there before he replaced the glass. I cannot believe how unethical this manager is. Admittedly, I completely lost my cool, so I asked to talk to the other technician that worked on my car. However, Chris forbid me to do so and ordered me off the property. The other technicians Anthony and William were so helpful, respectful and reasonable. William diffused the situation in a very respectful and professional manner. If Techna Glass wants to keep customers at this location, they should seriously consider finding a new manager. read more

The technician caused a long crack to form across my window when he "repaired" one rock chip. He missed fixing the second rock chip entirely. I paid for the lifetime rock chip repair and now regret doing so. The company's solution is to offer me a quote on a new windshield. In my opinion, the company caused a bigger problem for me and should be held responsible for that cost. Instead, they try to milk more money out of me by trying to get me to go through them for a replacement windshield. Why would I do that when the likelihood off of another problem occurring and becoming my financial burden could happen? No thanks! read more

Ascribing this to the closest location to me, but it was the mobile on site repair I attempted to use. I had a confirmed appointment for a 1-5 PM window on a Monday. Installer showed up at 7:30 PM but without the right windshield. Promised to be back the next day from 3-5. Complete no show as of 8:00 PM. Never going back to Technaglass. read more

Very disrespectful. After waiting for an hour, never getting any information or asking me about my problem, while there were clearly no cars In the bay for over half my wait, they were just drinking milkshakes and talking, they wouldn't fix my windshield, because unlike the claim to fix small cracks my two inch not deep hairline crack made it unfixable. They didn't even say sorry or anything for wasting my time or that they were unable to fix it. They didn't even tell ME they could fix it. They just said so to each other, then the manager just said Subaru go... so disrespectful and incompetent. I won't go there again. If i could give them less than one star i would. read more

I've used Techna Glass a few times. They replaced my windshield last. I needed a new one and I called a competitor who I have used and been happy with. When I called Techna Glass to compare they were over $100 more, and told me it was because of their warranty. I told them for the savings I would probably go with the other quote. The gentleman told me their glass was not as good, and said "Good Luck, cause your going to need it" Pretty cocky attitude. read more

Pretty pleased with the job Techna did. I had my front windshield replaced on my Acura, it took like 45 minutes and they warranty any chip for 12 months so the chip repair is free. I did go with new wipers at the same time and honestly the wipers were pretty crappy, i don't recommend them at all, but price and efficiency on the windshield was great. read more

Update (to 2 stars): next day I got a call back from my quote from their automated dialer. Explained to the guy I had rejected their highest quote and he said he'd remove me from their system. 15 minutes later: another calm from their automatic dialer. Obviously annoyed I explained that I wouldn't be using their service and why. This rep said the first guy must have been wrong and asked the price. Then reconfirmed. "That's lower then or price match" she then tried to spin it. "They probably aren't quoting you all the costs" so I read back from the estimate E-mail where I'd asked if the quote was the full cost minus tax where the other company said "That cost includes everything for the install". The technaglass rep said " doesn't that seem vague to you" Me: "No actually the word 'Everything sounds pretty all encompassing'" finally she agrees if I could get confirmation on a specific part they could match the price. So just for kicks and giggles I sent another quote E-mail getting it verified and planning to never talk to technaglass again. Next day I got it confirmed that technaglass was BS'ing and the other quote was everything. Here is the ONLY reason I ended up using technaglass in the end. They had a shop right next to my doctors office so it was just going to time out perfectly with my busy schedule... I really hope I don't regret this. At least the windshield is decent, but that's still some of the worst backhanded slimey customer service I've ever recieved and I honestly probably made a mistake choosing them in the end just for the convenience. read more

I needed to get my full windshield replaced due to the huge cracks (could not pass car registration inspection). I called around and got a bunch of quotes. Techna glass gave me the highest quote, but their lifetime workmanship warranty and free rock chip repair seemed like a great deal. I made an appointment with Techna glass. I ended up getting a quote from another place later that day for less and with the same warranties. Called Techna back to cancel my appointment and they ended up price matching the other quote plus throwing in a windshield replacement warranty (only $75 to replace windshield for any reasons within the next year if I get cracks again). AWESOME DEAL! Got in and out with my new windshield within 45 minutes. They did a great job too! Highly recommend the shop. They had good customer service as well. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that they left black stuff on my car/ dirty finger prints on the inside of the windshield, which was frustrating because I just got a car wash the day before. Great service and price! I just picked up a used car that had a chip. Stopped in to get it repaired, was going to get the KSL deal, but then learned that the windshield was purchased there... Free repair. Added the wiper blades, good deal there. Same blade would cost me about $12 per blade; they put on the pair for $20. I was in and out in 20 min. Came home on a Friday evening to a bashed-in rear window on my Honda Civic. Never a fun experience. Since it wasn't the windshield, and my rear window had both the rear defrost and antenna integrated in it, I thought I might have to wait several days for a replacement window. Not at Techna Glass! If I could give them a negative star I would. I called and made an appointment Saturday after my car was broken into. Setup an appointment for Monday at 10 am (she was very friendly and helpful) woke up early, drove an hour arrived at this location, dropped off my keys five minutes later was called up to the desk informing me my window wouldn't be in until noon and the next earliest appointment was at two. Asked if they could wrap my window with plastic (raining) they said they are out. Can't really do anything all day because I can't lock my car and I don't live anywhere close to the area.
