I immediately had trouble with Family Tree Maker software (which is all I use the computer for). The software company could not get the software to install. I took it to C-RAM and the staff was defensive and blamed the software. I never did get it to install and I'd used this software for a decade! (This was a new version too). This week it was determined by C-Ram the software they installed was corrupted and the hard drive needed to be replaced. The computer is Just over a year old, just out of warranty, never ran the software we wanted it too! C-Ram would not cover the cost of a new hard drive. We opted to not have C-Ram fix the hard drive. They then billed us $45 for looking at it! Do not buy a computer here! The machine was substandard and the service is not what I expect from a local business,

When I dropped my computer off, David impressed me with his knowledge of what caused the problem and the timeframe (one day!) he quoted me. I'm not sure exactly what was so wrong that 90 minutes of work was needed (i.e $90), but since the computer is working so perfectly right now, I suppose it was worth it. *Summer hours are M-F, 8-6.

This is such a valuable service for people with a bunch of home movies (my mom) that are getting worn out and that can't even be played anymore because VHS machines are obsolete. My mom brought a bunch of old videos in here and they transferred them onto a storage site for her and thanks to them, I was able to use a bunch of my old baby videos in my senior thesis project, which was a mini-documentary about my parents' struggle to have a baby. Without Awesome 2, my little movie would never have been a possibility. What's more, my mom wouldn't have access to all the videos she labored over taking when I was growing up. I know there are other services offered here, but the one that has impacted me the most is this one. My mom lives and dies by her support of Mandan businesses, so it's doubly exciting for her to have found this service. We both appreciate it a lot.
