My granddaughter prepared a slideshow/movie to be viewed at her high school's sports banquet. She also intended to give DVD copies of this to her teammates. When she asked that I make the DVDs, I told her, "No problem!" Little did I know, that when I had "up"dated my computer, I lost that capability. I tried every trick in the book - for hours. Finally, with the deadline looming, I knew I needed help, but the big question was where to go. I read reviews and started calling. Lucky for me, the first place I contacted had an answering machine. Knew I couldn't wait, so I called the next positively rated tech shop - Technology Plus. Julie answered, listened very patiently to my tale of woe, then told me that the person who normally deals with that was out at the moment (remember, I had a looming deadline - like only a few hours!), but she'd check and try to get someone else who could help me on short notice. Turns out Jon became my knight in shining armor! Prepared to be admonished for my too many photos, unorganized files, and superfluous programs, I placed my computer in Jon's hands. (He never once scolded me on the neglected state of my computer.) Knowing my pitiful situation, he assured me that my situation was not hopeless. Jon showed me alternative ways to burn the DVDs, explaining the free programs he was using and steps I could take to accomplish my mission. I LOVE this place! This was my first dealings with Technology Plus and I couldn't be more pleased with the way things were handled. Everyone I needed to talk to knew their stuff, friendly, explained things so that even I could understand and reasonably priced. They knew I needed my PC for work and it was a matter of only a few hours, rather than days, when I got the call that all the work had been done. The actual work was to replace my hard disk drive in my tower PC with a solid state drive and clone the former onto the latter. That was the part that I felt should be handled by pros - not a DIY project. I'll definitely be back when I'm ready to do the same for my laptop. They also gave me a ton of free advice about whether or not, for my work, I needed to replace my monitor and graphic card, without trying to sell me anything from their inventory. read more

We had a laptop with critical software suddenly refuse to boot up when my wife was working against a deadline. I took it in at around 2:00 pm and got a call back at 5:30 pm with a diagnosis and repair cost. I was able to pick it up at 8:00 am the next day, and it works perfectly. The price was quite reasonable for the parts needed and work done. This is our first computer problem since moving to this area from about a 1000 miles away.
