Can you give a zero star? BUYER BEWARE!!! This was literally one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. These guys are crooks hands down. They fixed 2 of my phones, one mine and one my sons. The cost was $260. Within 24 hours my phone screen broke in half straight across the screen. I took it back in and they said there is nothing they could do except sell me another $150 screen. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me he wasn't it. I asked his name so I could call back and speak to him. They would not give me his name. I asked 5 or 6 more times completely surprised and they would not help me. I was irate and will NEVER use this company again! I later found out that the owner lives out of the country. There is another company not in the mall on the corner of 12th and Langley. If I could give this place no stars I would. First, they replaced the screen on my S3 and it looked like a 5 year old did it. I had to take it back three times because the phone would not work right. After 2 months since my first review, the store owner, Haile, sent me an email with his personal number and he literally resolved my issue on the phone with me. He told me to go to their Davis location to get a full refund and if I have any issues or need anything else, to contact him personally. That's how customer service should have been from the get go. Went in with what I thought was a badly cracked screen on my iPhone 7. The gentleman that helped me could have easily taken my phone and charged me to repair the screen. He checked the phone screen cover and told me my screen wasn't cracked at all , it was just the plastic cover!! So happy! He replaced the cover and for less than 30$ I was on my way to shop with my savings! Great experience! read more

Please what ever you do...don't bring any electronics to this place to be repaired! Brought a tablet in to have charger port replaced it took a week and a half to get repaired and now the tablet won't even power up! I called 2 hours hours after picking it up and they said the light came on! Well did it power up after you charged it? Uh I dont know!!! I took my ipad screen to have it replaced. Within 3 weeks, it was fully cracked and broken and these guys refused to repair it without charging another $140. They were rude and said there was no warranty coverage. I believe it is their substandard product which is the reason for the breakage. I want to sue these guys - they are atrocious. read more

Do not take your iPhone to the Cordova Mall location for repairs. They should be embarrassed for the completely substandard work they did. Not only did they return the phone without being completely put back together, but the glass cracked again after merely being lightly set onto a table. Took my sons phone in with a broken screen to have it replaced. They quoted me $95 to out a new screen on it. Came back to pick it up and they had put a used, scratched screen on it and replaced my perfect condition frame with an old bent one! He tried to say it was like that already but i had checked it carefully before leaving and it is only 6 months old and was in new condition. These people are scammers. Do NOT take your phone to them!! There was another customer there while I was there, he was trying to get a refund for the same thing. read more

I brought my slightly cracked iPhone screen in to be repaired (cordova)... the screen worked fine for a few weeks, but then without incident the screen cracked again in the same area... i brought the phone back and explained what happened, due to the fact my iPhone also has a mophie cover on at all times, and they refused to repair the screen at all. Now the screen does not work, which leaves me no recourse but to purchase a new phone. I would not recommend this company and their bogus warranty policy to anyone. This place is a disgrace! I went there to have my tablet screen replaced, I dropped it from 1 Ft and it landed on it's corner and cracked very slightly. They said no problem they can order the part and do it for $179. They said I could pay 1/2 up front for them to order the part or leave the tablet as collateral and that they'd call me when the part came in. No call when the part came in. Instead they went ahead and attempted to fix it...WITHOUT CHECKING TO MAKE SURE IT WAS THE CORRECT MODEL # PART FIRST!! What the ****!? Then they call me and leave a message to come pick up my tablet because they can't fix it because the part is unavailable. I go to pick it up and it's completely shattered and they put the shattered screen back on!! There's glass all over it and black tape and actual chunks of glass missing around the edges. I asked them if they could at least replace the screen for free if I brought them the part, since they ruined it more and NOPE. They are unprofessional, rude and arrogant and I will never use their services again. My advice to you all...use the new stand in the aisle across from The Childrens Place, those gentlemen treated me with nothing but courtesy and respect!! read more

Wouldn't even rate this company with one star. Brought in my MacBook Pro to have the LCD screen replaced and paid top dollar - $330 only to get it back and two days later the brand new screen just "slides" right off. Took it back to have them fix it AGAIN Only to get it back and a week later the glass screen slides off again! Was told "that's why there's a warranty" what a joke and unprofessional. They have no idea what they are doing and charging top dollar by watching a you tube video or they are just plain sloppy with their work. Either way I would NOT recommend taking your nice electronics to have them repaired and next time I'll take it to a certified apple dealer to have it fixed because this company wasn't any cheaper! read more

I brought my IPad in the get a screen replaced from a crack. It was functioning 100%. I spent the 140 dollars for the new screen. When I turned it on in the car the screen LCD had a line going through about a 1/4 inch in width. I brought it back in to see what was going on. They said it was a broken LCD and they couldn't do anything about it. They then became very rude and said they do not cover any kind of issue like this, they clearly broke the product, and didn't offer to even try and resolve the issue. DO NOT use techshell. I was told that the screwdriver they used to open it did that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. when you call you get a automated menu press 1 for cell press 2 for laptop press 3 for anything else or stay on the line for an operator. I recently took my iPhone here because I broke my screen. The staff was very nice but, the guy who helped me said it would only take 45 minutes to repair it. It ended up taking them almost a whole hour and a half to repair it. But, I have to admit that they did a good job. So be prepared to wait a little bit. But, overall I liked it and I would use Techshell again. read more

If I could give it no stars I would, the work they do is sub par at best. I dropped my phone and took it to them to replace the screen. I thought this was going to be an easy fix as my wife had used a similar business here in town for her IPad and three years later no issues. So I get my phone back the first time everything seemed fine three days later the screen goes blank. I take it back to they immediately tell me I must have done something to it. I explain I was talking on it and after the call I went to hang up but they screen was blank. After 45 minutes of arguing they agree to fix it. Now I go in today to say hey the phone is working but it's starting to lift where he glued it and they tell me it's not under warranty after 90 days. Really you didn't glue it right and that's my fault. I ask for a manager or contact number for customer service issues/ complaints the counter person says we don't have anyone to contact. Horrible service and the work is crap stay away. To many other places in town to do business with that stand behind the work they do. read more

I purchased a $60 phone case from Techshell. While I was looking at the phone case, I said to my boyfriend right in front of the clerk who was attending us, "I don't really like the color but I need one now since I like to drop my phones, haha. If we have time, maybe we can go over to Best Buy and see if I can find one I like better but let's just get this one right now." If I were the retail clerk, I would've mentioned right then and there or at least some time before the purchase that refunds are not accepted, although it should be mentioned at every transaction anyway. After going to Best Buy and finding what I wanted, within that same hour I returned to Techshell for a return. They refused. My boyfriend spoke with the manager for a while trying to reason with them and ask them if they might give us a break since we JUST bought the phone case. They said that signs are posted within the store about their no refund policy. I never saw any such signs initially, and after going back in the store, I finally saw two small printed signs taped on top of their high counter right next to each other. I literally had to stand on my toes to read these signs. I'm 5'4, not really short but average height for a lady. Because 'No Refund' policies are not common, these policies need to be mentioned during every transaction or at least posted throughout different locations of the store in an obvious manner. I cannot see how this business can maintain a profit for much longer with their obvious lack of customer service basics, and from what I've seen from other reviews, poor workmanship regarding repairs. From a customer service standpoint I would say this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a retail store. I went into the store to get my iPhone 6 screen replaced because I dropped it and the glass was shattered. I wasn't greeted until I had been standing there for at least three minutes and when the girl did finally acknowledge me I felt as if my presence alone had somehow inconvenienced her. I heard her ask The lady in front of me to write down her passcode for her phone on a piece of paper so that they could test it before and after the repair. I told her that I absolutely would not give anyone my passcode for my phone which would provide any of their employees full access to all of my banking information, mobile wallets (credit cards) and full access to my emails containing my most security sensitive details. She then got a snotty attitude with me about it instead of somehow attempting to empathize with me and make me feel more comfortable about leaving my phone (and the data inside it) with her she simply shrugged her shoulders and said "well, that's how we test it before & after we put the screen on to be sure the touch is working so you have to". Really? No, I do not have to. I explained to her that "before" is RIGHT NOW while I'm here and "After" is when I come back in an hour. People please listen up: we simply can't continue to compromise our own accounts and data then turn around and complain about it when we become the victims of fraud or identity theft because of it. Never ever give anyone your passcode to your phone and then hand the phone or device over to them and walk away. Ever. Your best line of defense against thieves who steal from you and keeping your accounts safe is to safeguard your accounts. I think it's ridiculous that a so called "tech" company wouldn't have its customers security as a first priority. That passcode is there for a reason. read more
