Aventura Mall will always have a special place in my heart…read more Growing up in Miami Beach we often would take the S bus down to Aventura and just hang out. Back then, the S Bus would drop you off at the entrance of the food court and the mall was just 2 floors but look at Aventura Mall now! Completely unrecognizable to the Mall I remember as a teen. Especially since it seems like the average stores I remember are gone and it's all Prada, Gucci, and luxe stores now, but I'm not gonna knock it too much as I took full advantage and stocked up on my Nespresso pods while I was here. At least they still have JC Penny's. I was able to find a Miami Hurricanes shirt to bring back to my dad as a gift. They also have a Joe and the Juice store which I always stop by when I'm here and get a green tonic from them. I have to admit; I like how they revamped the food court so that its modern and has a wide variety of options. They even have a ramen kiosk! We also stopped by the new Eataly store, how can you not right? We didn't eat anything there, but I took advantage and bought some items they had priced on sale. In all honesty, I could see myself coming to Aventura often if I still lived in South Florida. I've always it made it a point to come here when I do visit and will probably continue to do so in the future.

They are very helpful, never pushy, and always truthful. When I ask their opinion they are honest. And that's not a common experience in today's world. Jara Eisen is the designer of the brand. Jara is a breast cancer survivor and her company supports the charity Fight Like a Girl. The idea for SoJara came to her when she and her daughter were unpacking a box and found an old shirt from a breast cancer walk they did and they didn't have the heart to throw it out. Instead Jara cut it up and sewed it on to a cozy flannel shirt. Now she's doing the same thing with band T's. It is her mission to "spread good vibes through inspirational messages and love for Rock & Roll". I think this is an awesome idea. All the shirts are sourced by Jara. Bands they had included my favorite Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard which was my first ever concert, as well as Metallica, The Who, The Beatles, and Nirvana to name just a few. Some of the band T- shirts have been repurposed and put on the back of vintage jackets and flannel plaid shirts. The also had hats, stickers, and jewelry. It definitely made me feel old that shirts from concerts of my era are now vintage. It also made start thinking about where my old shirts were. My daughter never wanted them although she did steal her father's Lollapalooza shirt. I guess she thinks he was cooler than me. LOL Coming here brought back so many memories about concerts I had gone to and how excited I was to wear the shirt the next day in high school. Her picture is posted as part of my review but her name is not on the receipt so I dont know her name. We really appreciated her help. This store has a large selection of many designer sunglasses and that's why we always return here to purchase upgrades or replace lost or stolen sunglasses. They have the best and most current styles. They also have good sales and reward money points. We wound up purchasing a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. They are just what we were looking for. Today was a good shopping day!
