I called late night right before closing and he was so kind and so helpful with my situation. He went above and beyond for me! I never had such an amazing customer service like that!! He explained to me that he cannot sell me pair, he first needs give me a trail pair to see if my eyes will adjust well to the contacts. Given that I have vision insurance and that I've gone to another Visionworks store in the past where I had a great experience, I went to this location nearby. Admittedly I was dreading this chore, mainly because anyone who knows me knows I absolutely detest wearing my glasses. Yes, I know that I need to rest my eyes, and I do wear them, just not in public (unless I am given no choice). I hadn't bought a pair of glasses in two or three years as my main form of vision correction is contacts, but eh, my vision changed enough to justify a new pair. That and my insurance covers a new pair every couple of years anyway. It was time, even if I loathed to admit it. I went in and didn't wait long on a Saturday afternoon. Ginny was my girl and she's a star at customer service. She made me feel super heard, especially considering she checked several options for me in terms of my insurance plan. What I mean by that is that she made sure I got the best deal possible. Of course, too, she helped me pick out a new pair of glasses, which was a pain in itself as I have a small face. Oh, and she placed the order for contact lenses, too, but that was honestly the easy part. I ended up getting told I'd get my items in around ten days or so, and well, that's exactly how it went. I found out via text and via e-mail. There was only one slight issue. While I was notified of my glasses being ready, my contacts kept being listed as order pending. I had to call to figure out what was going on. Once an employee finally answered, it turns out that my contacts were ready, too, and that the website just had a mind of its own. Needless to say, the technology aspect needs some work. Otherwise, everything ran smoothly, and upon picking up my items, I even saw Ginny again, who helped mold the glasses to the proper fit for me. She also let me know that if anything I could return and get them further fixed.

I thought it was strange until someone told us that they don't want you to be without your glasses while you're waiting for the new ones. Now that makes perfect sense. They do offer a discount on your new frames. I had to keep coming back to get my new frames adjusted (three times). Initially they felt fine, but a couple of hours later, they were either poking into my head behind my ear or sliding down my nose. I guess the third time was the charm because they seem to be fine now. Knock on wood, lol. They're really good about making sure that you're happy with your glasses and that they fit fine. The only negative I would say (which has nothing to do with their service) is finding a parking spot since the parking lot behind them is under construction. We try to get here when they first open so that we can just park out front.

When I come for an appointment it's pretty much on time no extra waiting around for the Dr. The part that seems to take too long is checking out with the new glasses. I'm not sure if it's the system but that's the only reason for the -1 star. If there are people in front of you plan 15 minutes each. They either need more employees or a better system. I would think they know how many people are booked with appointments and allow for the walk ins and people picking up their glasses. How about a separate line for people just picking up? I had to wait 10 minutes behind some guy who either didn't have insurance or didn't know his insurance simply to pick up glasses that were already paid for. And everyone is nice, very friendly staff. I'm not a mall person so I almost did not go here because it does take extra time getting in and out of the mall. And of course the extra shopping along the way lol

I wanted the optician to check my lenses because I wasn't seeing clearly, but instead she was tied up selling frames. Kind of felt like the priorities were backwards. When I finally came back to have my prescription checked, they made it seem like the change was so minor that it couldn't possibly be the issue -- basically brushed me off. I wasn't looking to argue, I just wanted someone to actually take the concern seriously. After spending that much money, the lack of follow-up care was really disappointing.
