He was rude at times (both to me and the staff, too). He works alone, so if you have a dental problem when he is out of town there is no one available to back him up. The last issue was that he booked me for 3 cavaties one day. After 2 were done, I told him I couldn't do the third. The first two took a while and I literally couldn't keep my mouth open any longer. The skin on the sides of my mouth was hurting and my jaw was too sore. He said "well, sorry, but I booked you for 3 cavaties and I have a business to run". WOW. Sad to say this, because he was nice in the earlier years. I've switched to Eastern Dental. Nice people and plenty of staff on call if you have an urgent situation.

Most places I called said you need to come in and talk to the doctor, but most of the dates were later in the week. I called Rothman and Kim and they said we will see you this afternoon. From the receptionist, I knew I was in the right place. The dental assistants were amazing. Every single one put me at ease and then Dr. Rothman came in and made me feel comfortable. With memories of elementary school and screaming bloody murder as four baby teeth were extracted--despite laughing gas & local, rather painfully-- I pleasantly floated in the reclined chair with the faint taste of cherry while Dr. Patel and an assistance removed 2 twelve-year molars. That is assuredly a good experience. Maybe it is also because I hated those molars and was so glad to have them gone. But the professional people, confident doctor, and awesome laughing gas could not have hurt.

For years I was told (if my wisdom teeth don't bother me don't bother them). Well, because I didn't have them looked at by a Oral Surgeon I developed an infection around one wisdom tooth because food was getting trapped which affected the tooth in front causing intense pain. My visit was so easy. But what stands out the most for me was the compassion and urgent care the office provided. The front desk girl told me not to even have a seat in the waiting area. She called a nurse who immediately took me in the back for more extensive X-rays and had me sit in a consult room for a few minutes and then went to get Dr Rothman. My own dental office had me wait for an hour that morning to be seen. Not long after Dr Rothman came in with his beautiful smile. He educated me and left the decision about the others in my hands. But said let's get you out of pain. He was not pushy in any way. The office was very clean and his office staff was incredible, from the folks at the front desk, to the nurse with him during my surgery (I believe her name was V- she is fabulous). They made me feel very comfortable during the procedure. And his nurse even held my hand. After the procedure I had a little pain and some swelling, which I expected. Dr. Rothmans office called to check on me the following day. I would highly recommend this office and will be going back for my other wisdom teeth to be removed in April. I call back for a THIRD emergency appointment on the same issue just to be told by Dc. Patel to see dr. A little background, over the years I was hard on my front teeth and have experienced a ?few? traumatic episodes in which my real teeth and then dental bridge have been knocked out of my face. The trauma has resulted in the degradation of my remaining teeth that support my then existing dental bridge. Dr. Fava was tasked with removing the damaged teeth and replacing them with implants.
