Dr. Serena Vance was warm, friendly, and took her time with me. Every other doctor I see here has made me feel like I am a burden to them with any questions. She answered me with time and concern. He then began pushing medications on me. I tried the samples he gave me but they unfortunately did not work. I reached out to their office several times & my PCP did as well. The nurse finally called me back after a month of calling. I explained to the nurses that the medication didn't work. She exclaimed that they were attempting to get it approved on my insurance. I stated again that I took the samples and it didn't work. I also stated that I felt they were not listening to me. The nurse then started speaking over and went on a spew about other patients, I attempted to speak up but she kept going. I asked her if she was gonna allow me to speak. She then told me, in these exact words! "I'm looking at my watch now so I can know how long I'm giving you the time to speak!" I said "really? This is how you treat patients? You're dealing with sick people everyday and this is how you treat them?!? You should be ashamed!" She got upset with me and began explaining to me about her degree and how she's been working in her field for 22 years and she's stays late every night until 9pm?! She also stated that she didn't judge people on the type of insurance they have! I'm honestly not sure what my insurance has to do with it, or what her degree has to do with it. I have 2 degrees. I asked to speak with someone else in the office and she told me someone else was listening the entire time. But I heard her attempting to explain herself! If someone else was listening, you wouldn't be explaining yourself to them. I asked to speak with someone else again! She started on another rant of what all she does for patients and how Dr. South went to London to get medication. After I let her go on for a full 5 minutes, she attempted to apologize then said "look I don't know what you're on! But I'm sorry". No ma'am! You have already showed your true colors, don't insinuate that I'm "on something" because I didn't just accept your misconduct & rude behavior. If you can't listen to a patient then this isn't the field for you. You were clearly judging me or you wouldn't have even brought up my insurance. You were attempting to be condescending when you stated you have a degree. But what you didn't know is who you were talking to. After I got off the phone with them I then found out that they were trying to push medications through on my insurance that were never even discussed. I've had migraines for 29 years & I've never been treated this way In my life. Looking around the Internet, they have several poor reviews. He said he saw no signs of Fuch's Corneal Syndrome or even Macular Degeneration! What a great visit! The other 3 professionals (over 7 years) must have been wrong! This year, however, I decided to go to a different place (Southern Eye Associates, which I HIGHLY recommend), and I DO still have Macular Degeneration and Fuch's AND I'm showing the beginning stages of cataracs. If Dr. Inboden hadn't told me I didn't have those conditions, I would have continued my Preservision Vitamins and the special eye drops, but I didn't. And now the conditions are worse. So choose your eye care professional carefully and don't go to Dr. Inboden. Also, the office experience was okay, but the glasses were incredibly expensive (I ended up buying for 1/6th the price through Zenni Optical online) and I had a lot of trouble reaching out to them for an appointment. Also, they never returned my call this year (thankfully).

My husband was referred to Dr Steiger about three years ago. I immediately liked him. It did turn out that his suspicions were right, my husband had bladder cancer. He explained the course of action that he wished to take, explaining to us the exact procedures that he would take from the one day surgery to the follow up treatments, which were preformed at St Bernard's in Jonesboro. He even suggested that if we had any doubts or concerns to feel free to get a second opinion. That thought never even crossed our minds, we felt so comfortable with Dr Steiger from day one. He preformed the surgery, he (personally) updated me every step of the way. Then one year later, he discovered another small growth at one of my husbands check up. He said that he would have to do another surgery to remove it but that we wouldn't have to do any follow up treatments. Again, we knew we were in good, caring hands. Sadly enough we recently had our last appointment with Dr Steiger because apparently the AMMC doesn't want him to perform surgeries at their hospital anymore, so he has been "voted out" I guess you could call it. When I called to get the result from my husband blood work, Dr Steiger, again, got on the phone, "personally" to tell me that everything came back normal and all was well, but wanted to stress the fact that we needed to call his (soon to be) former office to set up an appointment with his replacement physician and how important it was for my husband to have a check up every for months and that this would be a permanent routine for the rest of his life to ensure that his cancer does not return and if it does, how important it is to catch it early. I expressed our gratitude for everything that he had done for us and that he would be terribly missed. I can't tell you how many times I said that Dr Steiger was the only thing keeping us sane throughout this whole life changing experience and now we feel so unsure of what the future may hold for us.
