My son Jack is now in his second year at the Teddy Bear Club (he started when he was 2 years old). It has been an amazing experience for him and our family. The teachers, the curriculum and the facility are positively amazing. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with our experience. We live a decent distance away from the school and Jack's mom drives him from our home on the South Shore to Newton... To those of you from the area, I hope this points out just how great we think the school is, that we'd travel that far. We look forward to Jack's third year with the school next year! read more

I honestly cant say enough great things about this place. The owner is amazing... she truly loves what she does and cares SO much. She is just the nicest person I have ever met. The school itself... pristine... locked/gated/beautiful grounds and play areas. The place is safe, the teachers are AMAZING... they care and they know what they are doing. The activities, learning plan, etc.... WOW! The families... the sense of unity in the various families who attend this school... WOW! I really cant express how amazing this place is. My daughter is learning so much from the curriculum and it is effortless. The encouragement, professional staff, cleanliness, lesson plans, overall environment... it just cant be matched. My wife and I have had three kids at the Teddy Bear Club. It's fantastic in every way. (1) It's a safe, clean, loving environment. (2) The school strikes the right balance between "study/work" and play. (3) Your child receives one-on-one attention. Last but not least, the school conducts itself in a professional -- even elegant -- yet down-to-earth manner. I can't recommend it highly enough. Perhaps the one drawback is the price. Wonderful pre-school! It's my daughters first year there and she loves it! What I love is the fact that they have such clean classrooms without any clutter. Makes such a difference when children are trying to learn. We saw such improvements in her in such a short time. The Teddy Bear Club has been the absolute perfect school for our daughter! We looked at many pre-schools before coming to the Teddy Bear Club, and from the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was the right place! Everyone is very well educated, calm, caring, smiling and helpful, and the school itself is impeccably clean! (My only regret now is I wish we had come here first). Our daughter is very quiet and reserved, and we wanted a place where she would feel comfortable, nurtured, and be able to bloom! This is exactly what happened this past school year. We have seen her grow so much since last September, and we feel assured she will be able to start Kindergarten this fall confidently. Seeing all of the amazing things she did this year - from learning French, to participating whole-heartedly in an adorable school play, to learning about exciting countries throughout the world, to building her first real friendships - makes us so unbelievably proud and so grateful to the Teddy Bear Club! We can't thank the teachers and staff enough for making this the most positive experience for our daughter and us! Every single day she was excited to come to school and that says so much. Bonjour! Since my son will be graduating from the Teddy Bear Club tomorrow and heading to BB&N next year, I wanted to share my experience and sentiments about this truly amazing pre-school. I have had something to compare this school with, in fact, I have visited about 20 pre-schools and my son has attended two. Teddy Bear Club is by far the most outstanding school I have come across. My son has loved his experience at the school and summer camp, as have my husband and I. The community and the school are beautiful. The facility is a converted home that has been tailored and decorated with care for little people to exist, learn and grow. Orderly and clean, yes truly clean, the facility has white walls, white built-ins and pretty, crisp blue carpet that evokes a sense of being in the Mediterranean ... calming and relaxing. The walls are adorned with beautiful paintings by the brother of the owner and Director, Laura d'Angosse Perlman. A train runs along the ceiling of the kitchen facility - a favorite attraction to all that visit. After an efficient drop off - pickup is equally streamlined - the children enter the school and change out of their shoes and into ballet slippers to maintain the cleanliness. Bathrooms are like at home so the children learn to use them on their own and they have privacy. The library - wow! The teachers are educated, experienced, skilled, kind and loving individuals who are fully engaged in the programs they are teaching and the children's active play. The programs and lessons are planned and unique. You will never question that the teachers are hard at work on a teacher conference day. Each week, we receive via e-mail a bulletin, which is also adorned with beautiful pictures, outlining the plans and lessons for the coming week. This school nurtures parent involvement and engagement in the program. The education programs are wonderful and meaningful. My son has learned, not just been exposed to, but really learned about the world: weather, holidays, traditions, manners, feelings, music, art and more while also learning the English and French languages. He has been able to share his love of football, baseball and music with his teachers and classmates - they have embraced and nurtured his individual interests. The teachers are highly skilled and accredited academic professionals that understand and are able to teach the little people they are with every day. The teachers are creative in their programs and help the children to produce beautiful projects of writing, art and they even pulled off an actual play - yes, the Rainbow Fish production complete with costumes and sets - amazing with a pre-school cast. I have lovely art projects throughout my house that my son made with the assistance and guidance of teachers and which he brought home with him each week, neatly contained in a clean, white paper sleeve. On Mother's Day I was presented with a Love Bug, ironically my nickname for my son. Although school will be out this week, a gift created at school awaits my husband on Father's Day and we have a cahier of special work that has been treasured away until the close of the school year. My son shared this year long project with the joy and pride that has been cultivated so carefully at the Teddy Bear Club. I thank Laura and her team for the magical experience we have had, we will truly miss you and your team. I encourage anyone looking for a pre-school that will allow you to feel exceptionally good about the people and programs you are entrusting your child to to visit the Teddy Bear Club and enroll. I have never regretted leaving my son at and with the Teddy Bear Club staff and that is worth every penny of tuition. Au revoir! read more

Our family LOVES this pre-school & kindergarten! We are in our third year at Teddy Bear Club, and they have well exceeded our expectations of how a pre-school should operate. Everything about this place is top notch. We started looking into pre-schools a few years ago for our son who, at the time had a some issues with sensory disorder. After touring several pre-schools in the area, we knew right away that Teddy Bear Club was exactly what we were looking for. I have sent two very different children to the Teddy Bear Club - two girls and they both adored it. As a parent, I think the teachers are incredible, the small size allows nimble classroom progression, and the school is invested in character education. All of these factors have made it a terrific place for my children to develop. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and attentive to every need. The journeys around the world in the Moyen Jardin and Grand Jardin are amazing. My girls loved coming home telling me about the different counties and flags. At the end of the year, all classes perform a play. I can't express how incredibly sweet and enjoyable it is to watch your child perform his or her own first play. There's also an end of year graduation that is amazing and will bring tears to your eyes! I think you can even watch one on youtube? We have absolutely loved The Teddy Bear Club for our daughter. Before signing her up we looked at many different schools in the area but as soon as we walked in we knew it was the perfect place for her. It is impeccably clean and organized but at the same time warm, calm and inviting. All the teachers and staff made the transition so easy and as painless as possible for us. I constantly felt reassured that she was doing well and was treated with so much care and understanding every time I emailed or called. Every week we get a bulletin for the following week and I see such progress in our daughter. She is learning so much at the Teddy Bear Club but is also given a chance to explore and play just as a child this age should. We are looking forward to our second year at TBC! read more

We have sent all three of our kids to the Teddy Bear Club - and all of our kids have had a great experience. The school is small enough to have plenty of one-on-one attention, but has enough students to provide great diversity and fun experiences. The teachers have gone out of their way to make our kids feel supported and challenged - and have adapted their approach to each child, given their different personalities. Only complaint I have about the school is that I wish that the program would run a bit longer. read more
