More than five stars!…read more Succinctly, we met with three or four companies to get an estimate all of whom were pleasant but, somehow, did not seem as though they were listening to what we wanted. It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair. All in all, the results exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend Ammar and his team and, once settled, we will be having him back to take care of additional projects we'd like to accomplish.

They were "yes people" -- agreeable on everything but never once offered guidance or pushed back when our ideas weren't practical. We needed a real partner, and that's exactly what we found here. Ammar was exceptional. He's a true expert and adviser who wasn't afraid to be honest with us. When some of our ideas weren't the most functional, he told us so -- and immediately came back with multiple alternatives that helped us land on a design that was both sleek and practical. One of the best decisions he guided us toward was using two different cabinet colors -- light gray for the perimeter cabinets and a warm dark wood for the island. The contrast is stunning and gives the kitchen a high-end, designer feel we never would have landed on without his input. We were able to work with Vyanka using one of her virtual design packages. This works well if you have experience with past renovation projects and can project manage the implementation of the design. Or you can get a package where Vyanka and team will manage all the details. After 3 design sessions, Vyanka provides you a very detailed construction plan with detailed 2D layouts, measurements, and location of every fixture, hook, control valve, light,...ect. We found ourselves referring to the construction package every day as our contractor had questions. Vyanka takes your inputs and incorporate them in 3-4 different options and provide material selections from high end, middle, and budget friendly. On my last few bath remodel, I used Lowe's and Home Depot fixtures. But we are glad that Vyanka introduced us to some very nice fixtures that are like jewels that elevated the entire Masterbath. Vyanka's style is elegant and modern. But she can help you with any design option that you are looking for. We wanted a Spa like atmosphere and the pictures speak for themselves. Ana came up with a beautiful design and we couldn't be happier with the results. She really helped guide us and worked with us to help our vision come to life. She was patient with my indecisiveness but helped us keep our project moving. We're out of their usual location range and couldn't work with their contractors, so I think because of that some of the communication was challenging between designer and contractor. (It seems like they work pretty seamlessly with Builder Boy!) So while that was challenging at times, the end result is one I know I couldn't have done without Ana's skilled eye and access to beautiful materials I didn't even know existed. Once the design process was done, she helped me to manage the project and communicate with the contractor (she introduced me to two options, got me quotes from both, and I went with JJ Construction, who was wonderful!). Of course a project of this size will come with its problems and the best thing about Satin and Slate is that they always had a solution or solutions ready for me. Mateo and Anna kept in constant contact with me about materials and timing and I am so appreciative of their meticulous attention to detail. Sooo it's 2024 and we decided to get the 4 1/2"shutters in the rest of the house. We got the first…read more3.5" shutters in the bedroom and bathroom back in 2018. After finally getting "new construction" windows installed, we decided to go with larger 4 1/2" shutters. We were so nervous because not many people get that size, but we decided to go for it and boy do we love them! Everyone that comes over says our home has a "beachy vibe" with the large shutters. They look so nice with our painless windows! We only had one issue with the 2018 shutters in the bathroom rusting. ISD said to order the waterproof replacement would run us $650 for a small window but that seems a bit too much. ISD brought a new rustless magnet and made it look a lot better. Overall we are very happy with the way the new large shutters turned out, and happy with how the older 3 1/2" held up in the bedroom.

So goad he did because they are so awesome. Jennifer the office administrator/ scheduler (she may be the owner I'm not sure) is so sweet. She answers via phone or text which is helpful to have both options. She gets you all set up with Doug the field technician. He is punctual and such a sweet guy. We have used them for the past 3 years on various things from automatic shades to door windows to restroom windows. We remodeled in three phases and after each phase we needed a set of blinds. They got us on the schedule right away for measurements and once product was in they installed right away. Top quality custom blinds and shades that really enhance the space. Highly recommend using them!
