I highly recommend Ammie! When we moved into our new house, our kitchen was every shade of brown: brown floors, brown cabinets, brown backsplash, brown countertops, brown sink, brown fixtures. Everything, brown. Like most new homeowners, our budget was not unlimited, and we were not financially at a point for a full kitchen renovation. We carved out a budget for cabinet painting with new pulls, a new backsplash, and new flooring throughout. I am so thankful I found Ammie Kim Interior Design! We needed to give our 20-year-old house a facelift and transition from Craftsman-ish to a more current and cohesive traditional design. Ammie was so responsive to my Yelp inquiry and within 3 weeks, I had a finished PDF presentation at what I thought was a very reasonable and fair design fee. She was not intimidating at all and listened to my desires. After the presentation, as I consulted and planned with my contractor, she answered every question I had immediately, and continues to do so as we near the start of the project She gave me a few suggestions that I decided not to follow... at first. She was not upset but insisted what I wanted was the most important. But I ended up with her recommendations in the end! She was so great in explaining her choices with the design elements (and rules) to back it up. She was very patient with me as I slowly let go of my faux Craftsman house.
