Pre-packaged boxes, a counter where we can select our own chocolates to fill a box in whatever size we choose, a special Rhode Island themed corner (maps of RI, sea shells, sailboats, lollipops, etc), holiday selections, and cards to go with your gift. I grabbed a few Halloween peanut butter pumpkins that had been marked down this week. The store is amazing! Service was a bit slow (the person who waited on us was clearly proud of the product and happy to wait on us, but was just a bit slow moving at the register). The chocolate is very very tasty. My only complaint is that the peppermint patties had too much yummy dark chocolate for the filling - things didn't melt in my mouth at the same rate - lol. I didn't expect that the sour patch people to be as good as the name brand version but I thought they were actually better, and that says a LOT since those things are a major food group in my house! Both ladies helping us were incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to answer all of my questions. The coffee was delicious, but honestly, the atmosphere stole the show. Being surrounded by lush greenery, beautiful hydrangeas and the waterfront made for such a peaceful experience. I especially loved wandering upstairs to check out the plants and getting a view of the carousel! The menu had so many tempting options that I wish I could have tried more, but with a full day of coffee stops planned for the challenge, I'll just have to save them for next time. If you're looking for a cozy coffee shop with great drinks, friendly staff and one of the prettiest settings in Fall River, Gathering Grounds is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back!

I often drive by this small convenience store on my way home from work, and have been meaning to stop by and check it out, so I could write a Yelp review. When I searched Yelp for "Moon Market," it was listed as being located on Park Avenue, which was confusing, because Yelp lists a "Moon Mart" at this address. Apparently, this store was also named "Reservoir Market Place" at one time. Anyhow, I eventually sorted out the confusion (basically, there are two stores with the same name, different locations and same ownership - read my other review). I will be submitting updated info to Yelp (sorry, I can't help it - I'm a stickler for accuracy). Anyhow, this is a small convenience store that occupies the left side of a small commercial building (a business called the Plant Store occupies the right side). There is parking in front and on the left side of the building. Although the parking lot is small, it is probably adequate for the volume of business. The store is nothing fancy and has a somewhat limited selection of drinks and snacks. I found only two noteworthy things: a large array of hookahs/bongs/water pipes or whatever those things are called; and a small cooler containing several flavors of Dippin' Dots (which are little balls of ice cream). The young man behind the cash register was somewhat friendly. Normally, I would rate a convenience store of this caliber two stars, but the Dippin' Dots elevated them to three stars. One thing I did notice was that Red Bull prices seemed high. I foresee myself stopping here only occasionally, when I have a craving for Dippin' Dots. Despite the heavy traffic on Reservoir Avenue, pulling out of here wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, since there is a traffic light at the side street on the left side of the parking lot.

I went in for the penny candy that was sold by the weight. I found some of my long ago favorites and got to do comparisons from then to now. There were so many treats I wanted to buy! The shop is small and well laid out, little mementos mixed in with the sweet treats. The proprietor was stationed behind his counted, dapper in his dress attire, he was kind, friendly and easy going. I will go again, there were some cherished sweets there. Shop local!

Beautifully decorated store with carefully crafted displays of chocolates and candies of all types. The owner told me the products were all made locally or within the New England area so they're fresh. I picked up the best peanut butter cups I have ever tasted and a selection of other chocolate items for dinner with a friend. The shop owner was very friendly, going so far as to reminding me not to leave my bag in a warm car. I will definitely be back.
