    # Ted's Coney Island: Where Hot Dogs Go to Party! Hey food lovers! Wanna know where to score some seriously awesome grub? Buckle up, 'cause I'm about to spill the beans on Ted's Coney Island! ## Location, Location, Location Just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown. Perfect for when those hot dog cravings hit (and we all know they do)! ## The Goods - Coney dogs that'll make your taste buds do a happy dance - Traditional hot dogs that are anything but basic - Gyros so good, you'll think you've teleported to Greece (Opa!) ## Why Ted's Rocks 1. Service with a smile (and maybe a cheesy hot dog joke or two) 2. Food that arrives faster than you can say "I'm hungry" 3. Prices that won't make your wallet cry 4. Old-school A-frame building that's like stepping into a time machine (minus the flux capacitor) ## Spice It Up! Feeling adventurous? Ask for extra peppers and turn that meal into a flavor fiesta! Look, life's too short for boring food. So next time you're in the mood for a good ol' fashioned hot dog (or three), head to Ted's. It's where the cool kids go to get their coney on! P.S. If you don't yelp your perfectly topped dog, did you even really visit? Just saying! . I swear I was there...

A fun spot to hangout with friends and get a quick, cheap bite! The service was efficient and the food was fresh.

Found this place off of Yelp and did some quick little research on TikTok with the help of a friend and decided to try their pork tenderloin sandwich. This place offers it on a Diablo sauce which is delish and not very spicy at all. We also decided to try the feta fries which were to die for - they are tossed in vinegar and topped with the cheese and oregano different yes, masterpiece definitely. Onion rings were great too they were made from red onion which is different and appreciated. Ranch was on point. Service was good, fast, and accurate. The establishment was clean. Hi5 folks.

Ted's was the last meal for me on a LONG road trip around the plains states. Have to admit, I wasn't the hungriest but still wanted to be sure to visit because I had heard great things. I kept it pretty basic: onion rings and a hot dog with ketchup and mustard. Nothing exciting, but the essentials done really well are sometimes all I need. The lightly-battered, thin onion rounds were well-seasoned and crispy without being too oily. The hot dog was topped generously and sat in a nice soft bun. The folks at Ted's were extremely kind not just to me but in other customer interactions I watched and heard. If you want classic food done well and reasonably priced, Ted's Coney Island is your best bet.

Had the classic coney dog and hot dog with onion rings and fries, food wasn't spectacular but was good. Staff was so nice and the restaurant was pretty clean. Food was ready quick and made a nice road trip spot. My husband really enjoyed the gyro!

A great spot to try especially if you're looking for fast food that isn't just fast food. Their gyro and falafel sandwiches are pretty decent. I also like how crispy their onion rings and fries are, but that's purely based on my preference. If you get a basket it's like $10 without a drink. It comes w your sandwich, fries, onion rings, and coleslaw. I didn't personally like their coleslaw that much, I just didn't think it had too much flavor. However getting all this through a drive thru is pretty awesome. Their drive thru is open, their menu is right where the speaker is. If you like planning what to order before arriving I suggest looking their menu up online before driving up. Their baklava is a decently sized piece and really sticky. I definitely recommend trying this place.

I have driven by this place numerous times without giving it a second thought, but today we gave it a try. I am so glad we did. The exterior may appear to be a refurbished other restaurant from yester year, same with the interior, but it was obvious that this place is a local favorite. The inside is spotless. The staff was friendly and the food was great. Everything was simple, but the ingredients were quality and the flavors on point. I am glad we gave it a 2nd look today and will be back again.

Always a good dog! I got the coney basket with extra onion rings. Chili for coney is always great. The onion rings were cooked perfectly and fresh! I will go back more often. Check them out.

The street-level negative when we got there and again when we were leaving was the significant construction on Ingersoll...leaving entry a little tricky and exit a bit dangerous due to low visibility caused by equipment. Once we got inside, Margot was quick to come to our table, took good care of us throughout the evening and made some great suggestions for our meals. I had read about the Crab Rangoon Nachos and since Margot also recommended them, we started with an order (see picture) along with a Backpocket Lemon Shandy (see picture). WOW - these were every bit as good as the positive reviews and while the other food was also good, the nachos were the highlight of our meal! For our meals, my wife ordered the 10 Wing Double Snack split between Honey Garlic & 10 Spice (dry) - both on Margot's recommendation (see picture). I opted for the Sourdough Smash on Margot's recommendation (see picture) with krinkle fries. As we usually do, we shared tastes of each others dishes and really enjoyed everything. While I'm not a huge garlic fan, I did really like the Honey Garlic wings and found myself dipping the smash burger in the extra sauce. Numerous Cityview awards were on display on their trophy shelf (see picture). I believe one of these awards is what caused me to add The Station on Ingersoll to my Want to Go list but regardless of the source, I was not disappointed. We started off with their signature LIBRARY LATTE - Vanilla Vodka, Irish Cream, RumChata, and Cold Brew Coffee for $9, these are both dangerous and delicious! My mom ordered the bacon and mushroom omelette with potatoes and a pancake $13 + 1 on the side. Kimee ordered the biscuits and gravy $11 with eggs and I got the eggs Benedict $13 with the salmon +$3 (wow) and side of potatoes. I suggested here instead, mainly because none of us had been here before. I'm glad I did. We went on a Friday night. There was snow on the ground and several parking spaces available. We walked in from the lot behind the building and immediately realized how cozy this restaurant actually is. There had to be fewer than 20 tables, and a few spaces at the bar. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait. One of the bartenders struck up a conversation with us while we were waiting for our table. We could tell there were a lot of regulars here because the bartenders greeted most of the folks by name. And most of the folks were also greeting other guests by name. When we weren't talking to the bartender we were watching him pour the drinks. They were clearly not stingy with the alcohol here. In fact, all 3 of us decided to order drinks with our food That's something we don't normally do. For our meals, I ordered the 16-oz New York strip and my wife and stepson both ordered ribeyes. We each got a dinner salad and baked potato to go with the steaks. The salads were a classic, minimal dinner salad with lettuce, cheese, croutons, and a small cup of dressing. The thing is, the dressing was more than adequate to cover my salad. While we waited for our steaks we were mesmerized by how efficiently the wait staff worked the room. Tables are fairly close here, and the waitresses were constantly moving back and forth. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. And we kept noticing all the people coming in were greeted by name by the staff and other guests. Soon after finishing our salads, the steaks arrived. They were cooked perfectly. There was even a sprig of parsley on each plate. I haven't seen garnish on a plate like that in decades. I managed to get a photo of my New York strip, but not either of the ribeyes. We all dug in quickly. My wife soon commented on how good the baked potato was. I wondered how good it could be. There were packages of butter on the table and the potatoes came with sour cream. There had been no mandatory list of questions about add-ons to the potatoes. After eating half my steak I decided it was time to find out. This was one of the best baked potatoes I can remember eating. It wasn't over-done or under-done. It was cooked perfectly. Even after 15 or so minutes of sitting on my pate while I ate steak it was still hot. Everything was cooked perfectly. The drinks were good. You could tell all the guests were enjoying themselves. In the end, I was the only one at my table who didn't take home leftovers. Our waitress promptly arrived with to-go boxes. I'm pretty sure all 3 of us are looking forward to going back. And it's a good thing I didn't drive. I was feeling my one little drink on the way home.

Yet, it has new owners as of this year but I'll bet nothing much has changed since "the good ol' days". As you can see from my outdoor pics, and my pic of the chairs (red vinyl), it's a throwback to yesteryear. Not to say this is bad, just to get an understanding of what you're walking into. At lunchtime on this week day, there was plenty of parking in the rear (and the restaurant was almost full). The tables were a bit close and it was a bit noisy, but everyone was polite and in good spirits. As you can see from my pic, we started lunch with Onion Rings. These are relatively thinly sliced and breaded with batter that ends up being quite crunchy. There was plenty, and then some. We shared a Garbage Salad (see my pic). This truly has a bit of everything in it. It starts off Greek style with deli meats, artichoke hearts, olives and ends with shrimp: all topped on a bed of lettuce and veggies. It's served with Italian dressing, which had usual, traditional flavors. We finished with Jess's Slow Cooked Ribs (see my pic): this is a staple of theirs highlighting their signature BBQ sauce. There was plenty of meat on the ribs, which fell off the bone with the slightest of tugs. The BBQ smoke was earthy and paired well with the sauce. Their sauce was quite sweet, ample and tasted like it was applied after the ribs were cooked
