Literally 3 people in the restaurant. I ordered 2 eggs, ham, and hash browns and then waited 30 minutes. I went up to the counter to paid for my coffee and was told she's going to plate it soon. We are staying at the KOA and chose Patrick's for dinner. Places a to go order. When I arrived Amy was very professional and informed me of my order. I took the order back to the KOA and enjoyed every bite. The food was as good as the staff. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. read more

We were feeling so lucky that we waited to eat until Adel!!!! Nothing better than a yummy home cooked breakfast after biking 20+ miles on the beautiful RRVT!!! Hashbrowns were crispy and tasty, bacon was fried perfectly for me and the butter with all that syrup was scrumptious!! read more

Stopped into Patrick's Resturant for breakfast after biking to Adel. Set directly along the bike path, it's impossible to miss coming into town just before hitting Main St. Simple decor, breakfast took a bit but was worth it. Their hash browns are fresh made so they take a bit longer and it's well worth the wait (unlike the uptight pricks at a table by me that thought the 10 min wait for a fresh, hot breakfast was "too long"). Sorry about my annoyance but the impatience of patrons at restaurants is appalling to me; the food has to get cooked AND there may be orders ahead of your entitled derrières threatening to get up and walk out. There are places like McDonalds for fast breakfasts, sir (and ma'am). #endvent Now, onto Patrick's Resturant. Food was as expected, fresh and hot. I'm a slow eater so I'm used to my food getting cold by the time I'm done, and it was still tasty. I was also waiting out the low-hanging storm cloud I didn't see on my weather radar My coffee cup was always filled with fresh, piping hot java (and I drink coffee FAST)! I requested hot sauce and was given Tabasco (not hot sauce in my mind but it's a standard at most breakfast places so whatevs, flavored vinegar it is!)...steak didn't need any steak sauce, just a bit of salt and pepper. Service was bubbly, efficient and very kind. Totally digging this place, may have to bike here for breakfast more often! read more

We ordered a thin crust italian sausage, green pepper, mushroom and onion pizza. It was perfect. The crust was just beginning to be crisp without burning. This is a diner type restaurant- so if you are expecting fine dining just drive on. If however you have some time to wait for fresh made food that isn't seasoned too much-then you will be fine. Small town diner feel. Attentive staff. Water glass and coffee cup never got empty. Food is so-so. I ordered hash browns with mushrooms, green peppers, & onions along with dry toast (I don't eat meat or dairy). It was the only thing on the menu that I felt I could order on a busy Sunday. I had thought about the pizza, but changed my mind. My friend had a chicken salad. The lettuce was iceberg and it was the part of the head of lettuce that is a light yellow. The chicken didn't appear to be seasoned in any way. Very plain looking. The place was packed though. Seems to be a local hangout. In a newer building, but the place could use some updating. Carpet is frayed or coming up in places or dirty beyond help. Staff was beyond pleasant, to the point of not kicking us out even though it was past their closing time (we didn't realize how late it had gotten). 3 stars because of the food and the overall look of the place. This has been a breakfast and lunch favorite of ours since back when they were in a hole in the wall building on the square. Love their modern location and the menu is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food has lots of my favorites they pull off consistently well prepared. Specials are always great, hearty portion sizes. Oh and save room for pie. We pulled up two possible dining experiences on Google for an unseasonably hot autumn Saturday, this weekend. My sister wasn't in the mood for a buffet so we went to Patricks. The service was so slow, my 7-year old niece commented on it. They refilled my diet coke three times before my grilled chicken sandwich came. The chef's choice for a side with the grilled cheese my aforementioned niece ordered was a dish of applesauce. Not homemade, not even chunky or cinnamon-flavored, just apple sauce. My sister's salad side was late in arriving and was basically iceberg lettuce. None of the food was bad or even poorly prepared, it was just bland. Herself had to point out even her taco pizza was bland, it came with a bag of doritos, packets of taco sauce, and no sour cream. Just a thin crust 7-inch pile of iceberg on hamburger pizza. On a recommendation from a local, we had Sunday breakfast at Patrick's. No reservations, waited about 10 minutes for a table to open up, all self-setting. Friendly and efficient wait staff. Good food! Our foursome ordered both breakfast and lunch choices, all were good. this place was loaded with locals, not on main street and a little out of the way. My God, the pie! Save room for the pie! We happened to be in Adel tonight and wanted to try some place local. Yelp led us to this great find. The restaurant its self is very friendly and welcoming and the staff was awesome and attentive. The prices were reasonable and the food was very good. I had the steak sandwich which was tender and juicy like a steak sandwich should be. My girlfriend had the Party Melt which she reported was good, but the onions hadn't quite caramelized enough yet to make them as sweet as you'd probably like, but in fairness, we stopped in shortly before closing, so that could easily have been an anomaly, so I can't take points for that. All in all, dinner was very pleasant ... Which brings me to the afore mentioned pie. Their pie is made by local pie makers in the are and it was absolutely heavenly. I can't really come up with words that do it proper justice, but if there is pie in Heaven, it would be this piece of peanut butter French silk pie. No matter what you try on the menu, do yourself a favor and save room for the pie! read more
