Middle toe swollen and red where I was cut
Jaime A.

Went in for pedicure w my husband. Gentlemen gave me pedicure and cut me. I jerked and stated he hurt me and he kept cutting away at my nail. Next morning woke up toe swollen and very sore. Today makes day 3 still having pain Prices were a bit pricey esp fact they don't offer you any refreshments and told me additonal $15 for gel polish. Just wasn't an upscale salon to have those prices. Very disappointed.

Gel pedicure (express $28)

My friends and I came in straight from Henderson State Park. It's like a 1 minute drive. We were seated immediately. Very polite! They didn't rush and did fantastic.

Nails

Excellent establishment! Very good service and great nails. I usually run into the probably of "fat" nails or thick nails when I do SNS, but they did great work.

Great job!

I visited My Nail Spa today for the first time and it won't be the last! Loc was amazing. I asked…read morefor the Deluxe Pedicure and it was more than I expected to receive. First off, the spa was very clean and the pedicure chairs were the most comfortable I've ever been in. The back massage that it provided was very relaxing. Now, for the pedicure, it included the usual exfoliation, polish removal, cuticle trimming, etc. Loc was very gentle and careful with my skin and nails. The extra add ins for the "deluxe" part was, a lavender scrub, skin mask, moisturizer, a long and deep massage of the feet and lower legs, hot wax treatment and warm stones followed by OPI's Cozu-melted in the Sun paint on the toenails. I was there for what seemed like an hour and a half. And it was total bliss! I was sure that it would cost me an arm and a leg for the service that I received but when I checked out, the lady (I believe she's Loc's wife) said $60. I added a tip of over 65% because I was so pleased with their service and care. It's a really nice salon located very conveniently for me right off of 98. I normally get a pedicure right before coming down to the beach but from now on, I will wait until I get here for my beach pedicure!

I called about 10 minutes in advance for two manicure/pedicures. They sat us down almost immediately upon arrival. (2) Everyone was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. This is a family run/owned business and they actually care. Big props here. (3) Friendly for the littles! They had children-size pedicure chairs, while not a requirement, they make it more fun for the kids and an extra thoughtful touch. (4) They did an AMAZING job on our nails. I get my nails done at home, and would (unfortunately) say I'm pretty particular. I don't like the shellac/gel too thick, it needs to be glossy, no bubbles, and go all the way to the cuticle. Y'all, this might be one of the best manicure/pedicures I have ever had. SERIOUSLY. PLUS halfway through my daughter's manicure she smudged several spots (hey it's hard to sit still for that long!), they offered and took the time to redo those nails, and were sweet about it. I will return to this salon, no matter how close by we stay in the future! *We drove to their previous location accidentally, because the address hadn't be updated on Yelp yet. Make sure to check on this before you head out. It's just around the shopping center from the old location, with plenty of parking.

On Jan. 15, 2026, at my pedicure appointment, the young lady doesn't ask me and starts putting some kind of goop on my toenails before painting them. Says it's because my toenail is damaged. (True, as This is from each spa filing "the top" of my nail. I'm actually in the process of growing them out, so I told her not to file the top of my nail.) Finally, after drying for at least 15 minutes, I noticed my big toe has like a bubble under it that moves around when touched. She finally comes back after 15 minutes. And I inform her she needs to repaint that toenail. She does. // I wore sandals for the next 3-4 hours to eat dinner that evening in 40° weather so that they would dry completely. Then sleep over night and wore socks & boots all day. My wonderful future daughter-in-law bought me these cute new slippers. That pic is what my nails look like 24 hours later. Then I put closed toe leather flat shoes on and wore for rehearsal dinner. The next picture is the next morning, 36+ hours later. I regret not making an appointment with my normal spa at home for polish that would not get damaged, before coming to Destin and trying this spa. Perhaps it was the inexperienced staff member, I don't know. I picked the China Glaze polish. I think it was the goop.

I was looking for a nail salon in the Destin area but I couldn't find a price guide for any of them…read moreso I started calling the nail salons to find out how much no-chip nails cost. Among the 7 places I called, Painting Nails and Spa was the first place that picked up after the first ring and they were so polite on the phone that I decided to check them out. It really means a lot when a business picks up the phone, I have two small children and I cannot be running around from nail salon to nail salon checking who is accepting appointments and who isn't. They already won me over with that. The location is easily accessible and has parking. As I came to find out, a no-chip manicure is actually gel nails. I asked to get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The lady working my nails did a great job on my manicure and pedicure- I felt so relaxed. My nail color was beautiful and it was the right break I needed form my husband and kids. I left but then on Sunday morning I noticed that three or my nails began chipping. I called the salon thinking I'd leave a message but to my surprise the owner answered and I explained what happened and she said come inside I'll fix it for you. I didn't expect her to answer on a Sunday but it yet again shows me that they care about the quality of their work and integrity. I went back the next day and had my nails fixed, the owner even took pictures of the nails so she can show the employee who was off which showed me accountability and also process improvements. I really respect that and value that as a customer. I highly recommend this salon, thank you Wendy and team for the remarkable customer service and nail service, I am beyond happy and grateful!
