Just got back from visiting Ticonderoga. So fun! Went to eat at The Log Jam, an enormous restaurant…read morein Lake George. With the Americade motorcycle rally underway in town, it was tough to find seating but the staff made it work for me and the tour group that I was traveling with. It's a nice, rustic-looking restaurant. The manager made the rounds to say Hello to us and he made sure that we were doing okay. In the interest of speed, I ordered a salad bar and the soup of the day which was Goulash. It was very good. The salad bar had everything I could possibly want in a salad and it was replenished regularly. The tuna Mac salad there was awesome. The salad bar is $15 if you don't get an entree or appetizer. Perhaps a little steep but I think it might be all-you-can-eat. As a petite person, I probably don't eat enough. From the window, I had a great view of the outlet stores that Lake George is also famous for. I had to fight to the urge to go shopping. Perhaps another day! We had a slight mix-up with the check for our table but the staff took care of the issue quickly and it wasn't a surprise because the place was really packed. Nevertheless, I thought service was really good. Thanks, The Log Jam. You had a log jam of customers but somehow you made it work. We'll be back.

Great for a quiet family dinner, an intimate date, or a relaxed friends' gathering. We didn't feel rushed to leave, as we slowly savored our meal. This is a spot for relaxing and enjoying life. Extra shout out to the superb staff for finding my diamond earring (which I accidentally dropped in the booth where we dined) and saving it for me for pick up after more than a day. All the food was superb. You have a choice of either getting a large plate (entree size) or a smaller plate (appetizer size). Glad we listened to our waiter's advice and ordered multiple small plates to share. Definitely recommend that--instead of getting entrees, order multiple plates in smaller (appetizer) size and sample them all. What a treat! We had seared scallops, surf and turf, braised short ribs, lobster risotto, and the night's special dessert of whipped peanut butter pie. Every dish was masterfully executed and presented. Chefs have done true justice to every ingredient. We licked the plates clean and left throughly satisfied and content with such delightful culinary experience. Would be back to sample everything on the menu!

When we came, we were a party of people so originally we were seated at the bottom deck, but then moved to the top deck because they were not that busy but the waitress told us that they usually do not do this. The food was good, but it was pretty basic nothing insanely crazy. We also happen to come here on karaoke night, which was actually very entertaining. The man who host the karaoke. Night is very talented and his family actually came to support him. No one really did karaoke besides the man who hosted it and his family I'm not complaining because him and his family were great singers all around , but I hope in the future that more people come out to his night karaoke night! The service was really good. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and patient with us since we were a bigger party.

The loud live music & vibes here are very 70's-80's-90's "divorced dad" with open seating for bar patrons & loud entertainment, however the staff is very young & the POS system is updated/ handheld. We paid our bill without seeing a total nor receipt right on the handheld after seeing our server a total of 3 times in an hour. (Don't worry-- still tipped 25% ;-]) The food was alright. It arrived lukewarm & after food was delivered, our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. Honestly, not the end of the world, just something to consider. The shrimp on my salad was seasoned & cooked wonderfully. The chicken tenders were chicken tenders & the kid's burger was mediocre. The prices reflect the location for sure.

I was especially looking forward to their salad bar. I recall it being very memorable all the times that I visited. Upon arrival we were seated immediately as the dinner rush had not started yet. After being seated, our friendly server took our drink orders all while telling us about the nightly specials. She also gave us the additional early bird menu as we could order off of it as well. After placing our orders for petite prime rib, stuffed shrimp and chicken parmigiana we made our way to the salad bar. The salad bar selection was smaller than I remember but all the usual suspects were there to make a nice salad. It was tidy and well maintained. Our entrees arrived shortly after and it was all so delicious. Our dinners were piping hot and everything was exactly as ordered. We enjoyed our meal immensely. I was going to book the Log Jam but they only had a reservation at 7:45 and we would be in the area at 6:30. Luckily I found Lizzie Keays in nearby Warrensburg. I picked this place because the reviews looked promising, the website said there's live music and the menu looked good. When I walked in though, I panicked for a sec because the vibe isn't what my family is accustomed to. It's more of an old, small sleepy country town type of vibe. When our poutine appetizer arrived, my kids oooh'd and aaah'd and devoured it. Having had a ton of poutine in Canada, this one was completely different. It bad baby potatoes instead of fries and short ribs with a tasty sauce. The bread with seasoned butter was good too. So far, the food was surprisingly good. I started to relax a bit. Then our mains arrived. We each loved our food. I ordered the short ribs with pasta. The pasta had the perfect amount of roasted cherry tomato and cream, making the pasta really delicious. The short rib was tender and tasty but I do wish it had a bit of sauce. A couple of us ordered the pork ribeye and they both loved the dish. The pork was perfectly moist and tender. We also ordered the chicken parm with regular tomato sauce instead of the walnut sauce- it was also a hit. We also ordered the Black Forest chicken - it was delicious. For dessert, we ordered the hazelnut torte. It was moist and had the right amount of sweetness. Many of the dishes had walnuts in the sauce but I was happy they were able to make the chicken parm with a regular sauce instead of a walnut based sauce to accommodate severe allergies at our table. The entree prices were on the higher end but reasonable. The sides, dessert and drinks however, seemed a bit pricey. Overall, a good meal and it will be on our list of restaurants for the area. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to change the vibe of the restaurant to match the food. The vibe is more of an old grandma-y type of place and while the music was good, it was very country. The food and its beautiful presentation, on the other hand, is slick and modern.
