Love Sarah's . Her cinnamon rolls are to die for !!! We have been vacation in North Creek every summer for areal long time and Sarah's is a must just about ever morning she is open. Her pastry case is always full of wonderful baked goods. She also has breakfast sandwiches. Sarah greets everyone and you know when you have become a regular when Sarah knows what type of coffee you want as soon as she sees you walk through her door. Staying in North Creek for an extended visit, and wandered into Cafe Sarah for breakfast today. The first thing that I'm faced with is a pastry case filled with baked goods, freshly prepared this morning. Delicious! I ordered a piece of the chocolate zucchini, bread, a really thick slice! And she heated it up. I paired it with a tall cup of nice quality tea. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and a tall coffee. We enjoyed seeing locals and visitors coming through the door as a steady stream. The owner never missed a beat, welcoming each and every person into the café. And greeting them again when they walked out. The atmosphere was friendly, the decor what I would expect from up north coffee shop. Nothing fancy, but lots of local art on the walls. That's also for sale if you would like. I like to see people support local artists. Our initial round of food was so good, that we decided to try more out of the pastry case my husband ordered a blueberry muffin, and I tried a cinnamon roll. Totally worth the calories!! What an amazing establishment this was. I have never felt so loved, so at home, and so loved. The food was amazing and the lamp was incredible. I hope no one ever breaks that lamp because it was so cool. The lamp was really just one of a kind and i hope it's there forever. I honestly loved it the most because of the lamp. If anything happened to that lamp id be really sad. I hope the lamp is okay. Kids these days are so rambunctious and break things like lamps. i hope they don't break the lamp. Them kids. The woman can bake! Get there early for maximum selection, cuz the goodies go fast. (Make sure to try the quiche. The crust alone is to die for, and you don't often hear that about a quiche!) Sit outside with your pastries, cookies, quiche, sandwiches, etc and enjoy the magnificent work of the North Creek Mosaic Project right across the street. Most excellent way to start the day. My family and I visited this town two years in a row for skiing at Gore Mountain. Both times we got breakfast at Café Sarah. While the food remained delicious, there was definitely a mood shift between the first year and the second. In the first year, the staff was very friendly, happy, and even excited to see our two dogs, inviting them in for a treat. The second (this) year, there was a downshift in the atmosphere. The stuff was still nice, but the warm excitement was no longer present. We were also (politely) told to please leave the dogs outside (some members of our group had started to come in with them), as there were people dining indoors. I get it, and it makes sense that they don't want to be penalized and want to maintain a healthy environment for all (plus, last year, there was limited-to-no indoor dining at the café)-- it was just a drastic difference. We definitely would still return, if we come skiing at Gore again. As I said, the food is tasty, and the staff was never anything but polite. Just leave the dogs at home. The shit to energy may have just been from busy/slow season stress, in which case we hope all remains well at Café Sarah! read more

The server reprimanded someone I was with to get his hands off the glass of the bakery case. She used such a rude and loud voice that I walked out. Right down the road there is another place with baked goods, coffee, and better vibes. I hesitated to leave a negative review but I saw that this place had others so it may be a pattern. While staying in North Creek for a vacation we visited this cafe twice. The iced latte I got both times was perfectly made. The pastries - a blueberry muffin and chocolate zucchini bread - were super fresh and delicious. My 10-year old said this was the best muffin she's ever had. Stopped in for a late lunch two days ago. Bought sandwiches and drinks and went to the outside area to eat. There was a table but only one chair as another party had taken it. I went into the empty cafe and asked if I could bring a chair out as all of them were unused. She refused preferring a customer stand rather than carry a chair out and in. I very rarely write a review, but after visiting this place yesterday I just had to put one in. My wife and I walked in for breakfast and the woman behind the counter couldn't even smile, although we were the only ones in there. I asked a couple of questions concerning menu items and received a smirk and a couple mumbled answers back. The small little eating area was very uncomfortable. I will say that the egg sandwiches were fresh and tasted ok, but were overpriced. My burrito sandwich was really bland, but my wife's bagel/egg sandwich was better. It's really too bad that some people in this industry just don't get the fact that being pleasant to customers is a huge part of what drives business. If I could give this cafe zero stars, I would. I have been in there a couple times and the service is always unbelievably bad. The woman behind the counter was miserable and acted annoyed that we were there. She rudely kept looking over at us as we waited in line and when we got to the front she was dismissive and unkind. And it took ten minutes to get two coffees. As for the food, if you want stale cookies and soggy sandwiches, this is your place. Got there early on a Saturday and was pleasantly greeted. Enjoyed a decent cup of coffee and two well made breakfast sandwiches. We eyed the pastries for quite awhile but declined, not because we didn't like what we saw, but because we are watching our waistlines. So we found out about this cute little spot through a flyer stuck on the door of a bathroom stall at Gore Mountain. No smirks. I had a cup of creamy tomato soup and the roast beef sandwich. Very satisfying! Also tried the blueberry oat scone. The oats provided a refreshing change in texture to the typical scone. Jiaran says: parking was easy; no hassle, just right outside. Liked the way the bread on the paninis was grilled. Not only are the dishes presented cute on a doilie, it was very "at home" and casual and had a small town feel. There was also local photography featured and a good range of hot chocolate and mochas, plus cold and hot sandwiches. But also, there was a real bakery, with scones, pies, and cakes. We rolled in right before they closed on a Saturday afternoon. Since I LOVE baked goods, it is a given we hit any bakery in the area when we travel. I went in to see what they had versus looking for something specific. We grabbed a blueberry scone-I really liked them better than normal scones. The texture was much better (probably the oats, as the other review said). The cranberry walnut muffing was good. Cinnamon rolls were also good. Nothing spectacular that I would be attempting to duplicate at home (ok-maybe the scone) but not too shabby either! If I were in the area again, I would probably stop in. We stopped in this morning for breakfast. After looking at the few breakfast items they had, we decided to just get a few bakery items to munch on and then just grab a late lunch. I had a blueberry muffin, and my husband got the chocolate zucchini bread. It wasn't bad, not anything to brag about. The outside of my muffin was very crunchy. The taste was mediocre. The cookie was ok. It too was very hard and crunchy. There isn't a ton of seating, unless you want to sit on a couch. I got the impression that the staff was snooty. It was ok, but not great. You can smell the baked goodness from outside of their fogged up windows along Main st. My mother in law and I came here for some tea and pastries while the boys were on the slopes. We were hoping for some fresh bread, but all that was left this Sunday afternoon was "Jewish rye" that was good, but wasnt made in house. We did pick up a wonderful mixed berry pie, sugary buttery and sweet, which reheats was great for dessert. They also have some breakfast and lunch sandwiches that seemed really yummy as well. We bought a lot of stuff $25 worth, but I found the girl that worked the cash a little snooty. We snagged one of the couches near the window which has a nice wide arm to put your drink/plate. As each shuttle came in, the place got busy, but I think on Sunday one of the few places open. Worth a visit if you're looking for a nice coffee spot or lunch. She rudely asked us not to sit in front of the radio antenna which was right next to the table we were sitting at so we moved the table to the other window. 2 of the 4 of us had water to drink but there was no water so we ate our meal with nothing to drink bc she wouldnt fill it up. Once we were done, instead of saying "please move the furniture back" she said "be sure to move the furniture back". Why? Do you not want to move the 1 table and 2 chairs? Let alone move it back to where you ask ppl not to sit? There's 2 parts to the food industry, good food and good service. You are literally in the industry of serving ppl and being nice.
