    Millennium Home Improvements

    Millennium Home Improvements

    (1 review)

Good Day to All Homeowners,…read more Let me begin by saying that I don't usually leave reviews. However, for Robert, the owner of Millennium Home Improvements, I gladly make an exception. My experience with Robert and his team has been nothing short of exceptional, and I feel it's important to share this with others who might be looking for a trustworthy, reliable home improvement contractor. I first met Robert in 2013, 11 years ago, when he installed a 50-year Owens Corning Roofing System on my home. At the time, he was one of a select few lead roofing contractors for Sears Home Improvement Group--a testament to his expertise and professionalism. From day one, his dedication to customer service was evident; he insisted I have his personal cell number for any future concerns regarding roofing, siding, or other home improvements. In my book, that level of accessibility and commitment is true customer service. Over the years, I've called Robert on a few occasions when my gutters appeared to be leaking or when I had other roofing concerns. Every time, he responded promptly and addressed the issues without hesitation. Fast forward to September of this year, when I noticed a long discoloration stain running from the attic fan/ridge vent down the middle of my roof. Concerned, I called Robert, and true to form, he was on my roof the very next day to investigate. After a thorough inspection, Robert suspected faulty roofing tiles were to blame. He didn't just stop at diagnosing the problem--he took numerous pictures, compiled all the necessary documentation, and guided me through contacting Owens Corning. Thanks to Robert's meticulous record-keeping (he still had original 2013 emails, receipts, and material documentation--who does that?), Owens Corning agreed with his diagnosis. As a result, on October 27th, Robert and his crew installed a brand-new roof, with all labor and materials covered by Owens Corning. This experience reaffirmed what I already knew: Robert is not just a contractor; he is an advocate for homeowners. Having someone like him on your side is invaluable. Homeowners, take note: besides keeping your warranties in order, having a full-service home improvement contractor like Robert to call on for life is a game changer. To Robert and the entire Millennium Home Improvements team, thank you for your unwavering dedication to quality and service. I wholeheartedly recommend Robert to anyone in need of roofing or home improvement services. With Millennium Home Improvements, you're not just a customer--you're part of a family. Sincerely, Tom -- A Grateful Homeowner

The project included painting the entire outside of my house, replacing rotting wood, installing or repairing four windows, and some electrical work. I was looking for a contractor with the staff to handle all of these functions. Not easy to find. The results were outstanding, and frankly, better than I expected. Here are the highlights: Excellent staff, neat, clean, reliable, and hard-working. Management: Outstanding, professional oversight by management. All work was written in a contract. As needed, the contract was amended as we went along. Communication. This was extremely important to me. My communications with the owner and his on-site worker/supervisor and the administrator, were unique in that we all were always on the same page. To sum up. Bryan will be my 'go-to' contractor as I have future project needs, big or small.

They prepped and painted two rooms, including the baseboards, trim and ceiling. They replaced and painted a set of closet doors and replaced the rickety attic stairs. They also fix the bedroom door where it is now fully functional. The work took two days, but they transformed the two bedrooms. The crew was polite and professional. They worked quickly, quietly and with skill. I could not have asked for better. Mr. Grubb was very responsive to emails and quick to address all our concerns. Thank you for the good work.

Adam was great in the beginning of the job, but as the job went on I had a few issues. I personally…read morewould not recommend Sweeney Home Solution! Adam has poor communication skills and attention to detail. We paid more than the original estimate and he kept having to come back to fix things that weren't right! Adam as the company owner should have fixed these problems and not sent his workers! Holes were left in our bathroom wall, I asked him not to come back. it was one excuse after another. Had the same flooring issue the first reviewer had. Adam needs to step up his game..

I originally contacted Adam and Sweeney Home Remodeling for my home in Brigantine. There was…read moremoisture under our living room floor that caused soft spots and bouncy spots in our living room floor. We contacted Adam to fix the issue, and to give an initial quote. As you could expect, the initial quote was based on what was visible at the time of the inspection, and was originally quoted assuming we just needed to replace a few joists, subfloor, and new flooring. It was communicated that the full scope of work that needed to be done to fix the issue could not have been determined until the floor was ripped up, and a more in-depth inspection could be completed. I was told that additional issues could be found that need to be addressed and that additional costs could arise, which I was ok with. The issues first arose when I sent Adam pictures of flooring I was looking at prior to starting the job. After having signed a contract that said Sweeney would warranty their work for a year, Adam then tells me that if I choose a flooring of my choice, he will not warranty his work. Said he would only warranty Lifeproof and Pergo flooring, which was more than I was looking to spend. No mention of that in the contract we signed. I said whatever and paid double what I had budgeted for the floor. Half way through the job, Adam tells me that my flooring insulation should be replaced (obviously did not include this in the initial quote although we were removing joists and water damaged subfloor) and that the cost to put insulation between the joists (225 sqft. room) would be $800 (15% increase on the total cost of the job). I thought it was a bit much for a very small amount of insulation, but whatever, I approved it. A day later, Adam tells me the job is just about done, and sends me pictures. I noticed that he did not replace any of the baseboards which was in our contract. I pointed that out to him and he said he forgot we agreed to that and that he has a lot going on, and that he would rip off the baseboards and replace with new ones. After the home was fully finished, I went back out and the floor is still bouncy and there are still soft spots in the floor. When I raised these concerns to Adam, he told me that the home was not built right originally and that a central support beam preferably should have been installed for better floor support. When I asked Adam why I was never informed that to fix the issue, a support beam should have been installed, he said he never suggested it because it would have increased the cost of the job, and that while it is preferable to have it is not necessary. Although Adam had communicated that once he opened the floor there could be additional issues that needed to be addressed to do the job right, Adam made the executive decision to not tell me a support beam would strengthen the floor nor was I given the option to pay more to have one installed. He closed the floor, with joists covered in mold/mildew (which I told him I would prefer to replace) and after these concerns were brought to Adams attention he claimed that his intention was never to rebuild the floor stronger, just to replace the rotten subfloor and joists. After further inspecting, I noticed Adam had left my AC on 50 degrees on full blast, without knowing when I would be returning to the home. He also left every light in the house on. There were dirty hand prints on the walls and hand prints in and on my kitchen cabinets. Also, Adam installed the front door handle backwards so that the screws to remove the door handle were facing the outside. When I brought up the concerns regarding the AC, lights being on, dirty hand prints all over, and the door handle being installed backward, Adam never acknowledged it or offered to fix it. His only effort to compromise was requesting me pay the full price of the original job, and then after he would rip up my floor "at no cost" and would re-do the job correctly adding a support beam for only another $6,000. While trying to communicate my concerns with Adam and see if a resolution could be made, he refused to acknowledge his poor communication, and kept threatening to place a lien against my home if I did not pay immediately. I paid him, and am now searching for a new contractor to redo the entire job correctly. Enormous waste of time and money. If you are looking for poor communication and lack of accountability, Adam is your guy.
