This place is awesome not only there's outside seating which is awesome the food is amazing quality and quantity does not disappoint. Their bagels are one of the best I've ever tasted and their coffees especially their caramel mocha is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Go here now if you're on Drummond island you will not be disappointed. Service is fast and under 10 minutes. And ambience wasn't really present but doesn't matter because both food and service are the best. Again if you're in Drummond island go here you will not regret it. read more

Came here a few times while on vacation to get some sweet treats! The two gentleman working the shop were so nice and always had a smile! They make ordering easy and are happy to show you sizes of different things and event their own recommendations on what to get! The vanilla soft serve is delicious! But the star of the show was the cherry and lime twisted dole whip! Sooooo sooooo good! And the milkshakes they make are always top notch! Love the small town setting on the island it really makes the best ambiance for the eating the sweet treats! They also have coffee for those colder fall days! read more

Do you have a moment to talk about our Drummond Island Savior, the Teepee? The Teepee is a summer staple and tradition of Drummond. Centrally located on the Island, their soft serve ice cream is unparalleled and perfect for relaxing on a summer day. A few years ago they added a food menu, so it's easy to stop by the Teepee while on the way into/from town to grab lunch and a desert, all for a fair price. (Actually, the food is fair-priced. The ice cream is surprisingly cheap.) The workers are always friendly and hospitable, representing the best of Drummond, and the service is always prompt. The few times an order's been delivered incorrectly (always due to stopping by at a rush period) they've been happy and quick to correct our order. Drummond Island may not be quite the culinary smorgasbord; but the Teepee is a simple treasure on the Gem of the Huron. read more

The Teepee was an adorable dessert spot on Drummond after dinner at Esther's! The mini cones were a perfect amount of sweet after a heavy dinner. Large array of cone dips - blue raspberry, butterscotch, peanut butter - all unique offerings. Blue raspberry was fun and delicious! Dad's banana split was gone in a blink of an eye. In one week on Drummond Island, we visited TeePee four times, more than any other place. TeePee does have a corner on the market in a couple of ways. It is, as far as I know, the only ice cream stand on Drummond. It is also located by the busiest business corner on the island, near Sune's Grocery and Dry Goods, Sune's Hardware, the Chamber of Commerce, and the North Star restaurant. The three friends I was with could hardly drive by without stopping for ice cream. It is a summertime tradition with them. They loved it. My poor little body does not like dairy, however. I had to watch them eat the ice cream. Finally, I succumbed to my guilty treat - onion rings. Oh boy, were they good. If you're ordering any kind of cooked food, be aware that this place is not McDonald's. There isn't a stack of beef patties waiting to be grilled in 10 seconds. While two people handled the ice cream orders in front, one person handled the grill in back. Everything gets cooked when it gets ordered. That's called, made to order. It is not fast. In fact, my friends were finishing their ice creams when I got my onion rings. I also saw a man, who ordered before us, get his cheese sticks just before I got my rings. Luckily for me, my friends did not mind that I stunk up their car with the smelly wonderfulness of onion. Your friends might not be as forgiving as mine. There is plenty of parking. TeePee also has tables set up under a tent, so you can sit out and enjoy your food even during the brief rainshowers that frequently pass over Drummond. They don't have any toilet facilities, however. I saw a somewhat desperate mother asking the staff about restroom facilities, and she was told to go to another business across the street. Definitely worth a visit while you're on Drummond Island. read more

My family and I are on vacation and we just stopped there before we had to get on the fairy to go back home and we were standing in line and it turned out we were in the wrong line so we missed the ferry but there were no signs telling us anything about were to stand so we missed the ferry and we didn't get any ice cream. read more
