A simple, delicious hot dog. Great friendly service and fun, nostalgic diner vibes. A staple when visiting Mackinac.

The giant hot dog on the roof is fabulous! The hot dogs were ok. We tried a goof long and a Coney dog. They have an interesting grill or char but nothing made them stand out.

As many times as my family has visited Mackinaw City, this was my first time at Wienerlicious. I had the Reuben dog and the 'kraut was generous, and the 1,000 Island dressing was a perfect topper. My daughter's bratwurst was huge. And the waffle fries were perfectly fried and delicious. Great stop!

    Mackinac dog and cheese fries

Stopped into Wienerlicious while passing through Mackinaw City and was seriously impressed. I tried the Chicago Dog, Mackinac Dog, and the Coney Dog -- all were packed with flavor, made with care, and had that perfect snap. The waffle cheese fries on the side were crispy, cheesy perfection. What really stood out was the staff -- super friendly, fast service, and great energy all around. This place doesn't just have fun with its name -- it delivers. If you're in town and craving something quick, local, and delicious, this is the spot.

Serious question. You're driving down the street and you see something like a 150 foot long massive hot dog affixed to the top of a building...how do you not stop there? I don't know. So I stopped. This place is a celebration of the hot dog. They've got all kinds. It's not haute cuisine, but it's priced accordingly. I had one with chili and cheese with an order of waffle fries and it was both delicious and filling. The vibe inside was slightly crowded and a little loud, but there's outdoor seating as well for those of you who need a bit of elbow room. Order at the counter, wait for your number to be called, chow down. For what this place is, (a hot dog joint in the shape of an old school diner), it's pretty good. Definitely worth the price and a solid option if you're in the area and in the market for quick and easy bite to eat.

Our review is as follows: For being called Wienerlicious, the hot dogs were hugely lacking if at best. Good flavor, but lost in the buns (we had an all beef, Chicago, coney, and a Reuben). The milkshake was also to be desired not being made out of ice cream, but ice milk. The amount that was spent on these five items and the product quality was very poor. As for the fries, we really liked them and would enjoy ordering them again if we entertained coming again. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and courteous service was given.

If you like hot dogs, then this is worth a stop. The only risk is that you might wreck your car staring at the gargantuan hot dog on the roof. Stepping inside, it does have a 50s diner vibe with stainless steel counters and bar stools. There are a variety of different dogs to try. I really wish I had tried one of the sausages, but I decided on the Reuben Dog because...well, I like a good Reuben. This was not a good Reuben. The dog was topped with a pile of good sauerkraut. It was billed as having Swiss cheese, like a Reuben is supposed to have, but there was none. There was a drizzle of 1000 island dressing on the top, but it wasn't noticeable in the taste. Most disappointing was the dog itself. It was the average blended type dog, the type you may have tried at a cafeteria. Even smothered with sauerkraut, there's no getting around the averageness of the dog. I got waffle fries as a side. They weren't bad, except that they weren't fresh. They were a bit soggy, but the seasoning was good. The order was served up quickly, and the cashier was friendly enough. But, I'm not sure if that's enough to make me want to order from them again. But, that massive hot dog on the roof? That will be a fixture in every trip up this way from now on.

We stopped here because it was a short walk from our motel and had the veggie dog. We did only notice it from the giant hotdog on the roof. Prices are a lot higher than I saw online. One veggie dog was 4.99! I think we spent $45 for two people. You pay extra for chili and cheese and they put the smallest amount of cheese I've ever seen. Waffle fries were old. It was mediocre and not worth the price. Also don't tip, they still give you old food. This is an order and wait for your order number to be called establishment. Too Bad we wanted to like it.

Once you start seeing the British Landing signs, you know that you are close to a treat and food refuel. This area on your stop is worth it. There is a small nature area that has bathrooms indoor. Nice views of the water and areas of history to read about. Ton of places to park your bike. Cannonball serves class American comfort foods such as fries, hamburgers, pretzels, corndogs, ice cream, and even fried pickles. My go-to is a corndog and fried pickles - biking 8 miles works up an appetite. Always been happy with my food. There is an order window to the right and pick-up window to the left. Staff are friendly and helpful. The time of waiting in line to getting food is efficient. Is it a little pricey? Of course, again, it is the only place to get food on that side of the Island. To the left and right of the Cannonball has a ton of picnic benches. Must-stop on your journey!
