A good course for brushing up on your short game. A lot of par 3 holes and the par 4 and 5 holes are shorter then most courses. The tee boxes and fairways were a little rough shape but with the heat and lack of rain recently that's to be expected. The greens were in good shape overall and prices reasonable. Played here lots of times and have always enjoyed my round. Staff is always friendly as well. read more

Teetering isn't the best course in town, but it is a fun course. The atmosphere is a little laid back, and most greens can be reached with a mid to short iron or wedge, which makes it a great course for beginners, kids, and seniors or experienced players who want to work on their short game. It's a great course for a date for golfing couples too. You won't mistake the greens for Falcon Ridge or Alvamar, but greens fees are cheap and you get what you pay for. The highlights of the course are a shot off a cliff to a heart shaped green on #3, #7's dramatic dogleg, and elevated greens at #10, #14, and #18 plus peaceful cart paths through the woods and comfortable clubhouse. read more

Just recently returned to Teetering Rocks after a 10 year hiatus. The course hasn't changed much over that time and still is a great option for 18 holes of golf in about 3 - 3.5 hours. After playing some longer holes on the front 9, be prepared to burn through the back nine and its multiple par 3s. Off peak prices are about 16 bucks/person with a cart for 18 holes, very reasonable for this course and its challenge. One of the drawbacks, as is the case with other public courses, is the inexperience of some golfers. I love that people want to get out and golf and I definitely encourage the masses to play the game. Because of TR's price, this is a great course for beginning golfers to try their hand at the links. Unfortunately, that often leads to slow play. Several times on my recent visit I had to wait for two different sets of slow players in front of me. The first let us play through (thank you for your common golf sense), but the second group pretended we weren't there until we met them on the next tee box. They allowed us to hit through, then hit into us as we played the hole (not so smart golf etiquette). Head over the Raytown to play this great course. It's a great value and a pretty good challenge. Haven't played this track in over 20 years, but needed a course to teach my son on that gave him playable par 3, 4, and 5's, Teetering Rocks fit the bill. Caught an online special, and at 12:50, we were off and running. Proshop is small, nothing special, but the gentleman was extremely nice, and let us know the ins and outs of the course. There are a few houses that come into play, especially hole number 7. I guess the homeowners finally had enough, and installed 30' telephone poles and netting to deflect errant tee shots...my son and my shots were straight up the fairway...oh yea... Overall the course is in good shape, spots of weeds and burnt out areas dotted the course, but overall the fairways and rough were playable. The greens were all in great shape, the fringe had some weeds, but the greens held approach shots and rolled true. The short track, threw several doglegs at us, and a couple blind shots, but after playing it a few times, those would offer the risk rewards that most golfers love...driving the green on a 280 yd par 4...you can do it... Looking for a short fun track...this will allow you to work on the short game, but really give you a chance to go low... read more

This course is fun and not overly complicated. I have played many of the public golf courses in Kansas City and this course is tied with Falcon Valley as my favorite. The heart shaped green on hole three looks really cool and the whole course the fairways, rough, bunkers and greens are all in really good shape. This is definitely my favorite course on the Missouri side of Kansas City. I also would say this place has great staff and whoever maintains this course does a great job and works hard. This course definitely deserves everyone of the five stars I gave it. read more

This course will make you wish you had Corona. The greens should've been called sand traps. Absolutely abysmal course layout and the course conditions were horrific. Back 9 has six Par 3's and three dog-leg Par 4's and not a single Par 5. Will never be returning to this course! read more

Tried to play 18 here tonight and was denied. The guy at the front desk said we didn't have time to play 18 while we were the only group on the front nine due to "time constraint". Out tee time was 4:40. We finished nine holes in about 1 hr and pulled back to the club house at 5:50. Went in to tell him we would play another nine and he declined us. Said we couldn't get another nine in and be back by 7:30 even though we had just completed nine in an hour. I will not being playing this course again due to the poor management and customer service. read more

Seems to always be really windy, and the greens had lots of grass clippings that made it easy to lose your ball. However, the course is varied and interesting, and the surrounding woods are lovely. Have golfed there more than once, and certain I will again in the future. read more

This course would be much more fun if played frequently. Multiple blind holes where it is hard to know where to shoot if it were your first time. (Even using the markers by the tee box) The layout & scenery is very enjoyable and fun to drive a cart on. Also 6 par 3's on the back nine. However if you just want to throw back a few & enjoy the sites this is a good spot. read more

First course I ever played on when I moved to Kansas City from Denver. That was in 2000. I always enjoyed the tree filled property and shorter course. It declined a little in the late 2000's - 2012. in the last few years its rebounded very nicely. They have been doing a lot of fairway and green renovations. Its not a high end golf course by any means! However its a good to great course just for the affordable cost. I cant afford 60-70 dollars for an over priced and often crowded course. I am glad there are courses around town like Teetering Rock! So far its also been a good course for my daughter to be introduced to golf. read more
