I have been to the Puttery before and loved it, but this place was terrible. The only people in the establishment for the entire time were the workers and they were just sitting at the bar talking for the duration of our visit. We ordered drinks and the bar tender was rude and unwelcoming. The decore is cheap and falling apart. The carpet is gross and covered in spills. I guess it's cheap at only $20 a person, but I did not expect the place to be so run down given its location! I did like the table golf so adding a star for that. read more

This was a fun outing and a great idea for a bar! The rooms were more exciting than the holes that are in the main bar area, and I would have loved more of that feel. The drinks were really good and they were able to make mocktails for those of us that don't imbibe. It seemed like one person was running the whole operation though! He checked us in, was the bartender, and informed us that the kitchen was shut down for the day (a shame, because our party was really craving some pretzel bites). It was a bit odd for a Sunday, and the place was certainly busy enough to warrant an open kitchen, but oh well. I have been to sinkers lounge 4 times in total and plan to return because they have amazing service and it's such a fun place to hang out! They have 9 holes that allow you to play mini golf in themed areas. Each hole is a new theme and only takes a couple minutes to go through depending on how busy it is. I also feel like it is very reasonably priced for what you get! The last time I was gonna go, I bought the tickets ahead of time and then got a call from the place saying they did not mean to be accepting tickets and their website malfunctioned. So, they ended up refunding my tickets AND giving me and my boyfriend free tickets to an ax throwing place next door. It was very kind!!!! They are very accommodating! read more

Came here for an afternoon game of mini golf. We purchased the unlimited mini golf and table golf package. We also got two drinks at the bar. They had only cans of beer and charged $6-7 each. The golf course was rundown and there were no starting markers on any of the holes. Once we finished, as there was no one on the course we asked to use our unlimited and play again. The staff informed us we couldn't play again unless we purchased our tickets online for the same price. As there were no other patrons and we had paid the $20/person I wish we had been told in advance the difference of purchasing online versus in person. Not great value; we will not return. read more

We came here for a company party! Each gold hole was well thought out and really fun! i did not get to try the table golf but it also looked really cool! The food was hot and fresh, but I have notes. I was not a fan if the sliders, i don't ont know what that meat was seasoned with but it was an odd flavor. I really like the cheese stuffed pretzel bites, The funnel cake bites were super yummy! The queso was pretty good! The pizza I was on the fence about it but i did appreciate the crust being soft! the cocktails were perfect! I had a few different ones and I did not hate any of them! Mt job reserved the "private" area for our things, but there was no security or reserved signs which kind of rubbed us wrong. If we pay for a space.. we should not have to share it.. right? Last Friday night was my first time here and had a blast! I came with a group of 7 including myself. Sinkers Lounge recently opened, about 3 weeks ago. This place is like a hidden gem, located in the heart of Downtown KC behind Yard House off 13th St, between Main and Baltimore. Parking can be tough here. There is some street parking along Baltimore St, if you're lucky to find one. They do validate parking from the Power & Light parking garage under the KC LIVE block, as well as the H&R Block garage. The H&R Block garage is recommended for weekends or after 5pm on weekdays. If you have a large group. I would recommend making a reservation online. There are walk-ins available, but can be a wait if it's a busy night. When I heard we were going mini-golfing, but adult style - I did not expect it to be like this! It was very modern and had nice decor with plenty of tables and seating areas to hangout. They have 9 holes for mini-golf and Toptable golf. Both of which we all got to experience, along with the full bar they offer! The mini-golf was at your own pace, usually for an hour play. However, it felt like we took longer with our bigger group. They gave us a score sheet so we can keep track of our score count. I lost lol but it was still fun! The two bartenders guys were super friendly and took care of us with our drinks and small snacks. They made sure to check in with us from time to time even with how busy it was there for a Friday night. This place is a good time and great for families or couples. I would caution that bringing small children here on a weekend is probably not ideal. Only because the mini golfing isn't large and therefore it moves at a quick pace. I saw a small child hold up everyone behind them. Not ideal. Table golf is interesting but fun. I highly recommend that you do both if you come here. Service was overall good. The young lady at the front was awesome and friendly. There was one server with a beard and hat who was very rude. He didn't give a name and he wasn't our waiter...thank God. But he needed to go home. It's staff like that that can lead to a business having a bad reputation and therefore closing quickly. We had the old fashion and the red pirate punch (2) and the chicken sliders. All very good! I will be going back but I will also be paying close attention to the waitstaff and their customer service. I thought this was a cool idea but much better in theory than in practice. Very basic, cheap course. Disorganized check in and the flow was confusing so people were going out of order. Cool concept, but the execution could use some work. Let's start with the mini golf portion of this place. Not in any way, shape, or form worth $15 a person. There are only 9 holes and the holes are more visually interesting than fun to play. There was a huge pile up and wait to begin the holes. We had to wait probably 20 minutes just to get started. Then it took forever to get through the holes because everyone was taking a long time for some inexplicable reason. I wasn't a fan of the carpet on the holes instead of astroturf either. It doesn't play the same. Now the tabletop golf. This was really fun and unique. It ended up being $7/ person which was a decent price I thought. But when you add that to the $15 separate you had to pay for the regular golf, it becomes extremely overpriced. Overall the drink menu was good and the seating and ambiance here was nice. It would be more fun if they added more tabletop holes and redid or just got rid of the regular mini golf holes. I don't know how they can justify $22 per person for 9 holes of mini golf and 9 holes of tabletop golf on top of the $12 cocktails and food people are buying. I think $5 for the golf is fair when people will be buying food and drinks as well. Lastly, I've seen reviews saying this is a family friendly place. If you are here at night this place is first and foremost a BAR. I would not bring people under 18 here unless you don't mind them being around dozens of drunk adults. This place is best as a unique date night but I don't think I would come here again unless the price decreases. read more

We were in on December 27 for a birthday gathering and had a pretty good time. The host that greeted us as we came in was neither helpful not welcoming. I said that we had never been there before and wondered how things worked. She rattled off a lot of directions and then sat back down to look at her phone. She obviously did not care for her job. I couldn't tell you much of what she said. The putting was fun, especially in the different rooms. The most fun part of of Sinkers was the table golf that was like pool. The food was average and not memorable. One thing I do remember was that the kitchen closes at a specific time, because the bartender told us we just ordered in time right before they closed. It was around 9pm. A sign stating that would have been helpful. The drinks were good and the bar tender was the best worker in the whole place. What we liked were the KC specific putting greens and table top golf, a well as the cocktails. However, they could improve things with either some signage or a flyer to give you when you walk in to explain how things work and when the kitchen closes. We visited for a birthday and had so much fun!! The food was great, the music was popping (a bit too much for a Tuesday with no crowd but we dig), and the rooms were neat! The chef, Patrick was so kind and made sure we were all taken care of. He really puts in the work for some good bites!! The tabletop golf was definitely way cooler than the actual mini golf (which is what we originally had come for). The first three mini golf holes were cool (although the rainbow room could use a little something extra in it), but after that it was pretty disappointing with the fake plants and how easy the holes were. They could spend a weekend just building some KC monuments out of foam core and Michael's supplies. Holes 4, 5, and 6 are way too basic and quick. Definitely not your typical "crazy cool" mini golf. My wife and I went to Sinkers to celebrate her birthday this weekend and left with mixed feelings about the business. The putt putt was great for only being a 9-hole course and the table top golf was a blast. On top of that, the bartender was friendly and the drinks tasted great. However... I left with a bruised knee and sore hip because one of the employees decided to mop the floor around us as we were playing the table top games. It wasn't even 11pm yet and with over an hour before closing, he mopped the area around us because "it takes a while to do it." I understand needing to get things clean before you close up, but we were one of the only couples inside at the time and he could have mopped everywhere else, but chose to do the area around us, causing me to slip and injure myself. The bartender appeared concerned when we explained to her what happened, but the older gentleman who did the mopping did not even apologize after I told him that I was injured do to him not waiting to mop... it definitely put a damper on our weekend and it's doubtful we will return again read more

I feel like this is an amazing concept. There is nothing like this that I've ever experienced. Location is perfect. Price point for what you expect to get is a bit high. Two people playing both mini and tabletop golf is just south of $50. Drinks area tad on the high side. Not by much but I'd say 10%-20% over priced for the environment. The mini golf holes area joke. Very basic, like something you'd build in your garage. The space was large and had so much possibility. I feel like so much more could be done with the mini golf holes. The table top golf was really fun, unique, and a great idea and experience. I do feel like the room could be done up so much better and the holes all tailored to our city. There were 6 tvs, 3 worked and only 2 of them were displaying content. I feel like if the mini golf holes were WAY better, and more like actual mini golf, as well as the decor looking better than a high school prom, this place would be great. We came here with our 3 kids (14, 12, 9) midday on a Saturday looking for something to do. It was a great find. Cute interior, fun decorations, really nice staff. We played mini golf and tabletop golf with our kids and had a cocktail. Perfect little Saturday outing. There was a group of guys playing behind us and they seemed to be having a great time. I booked a corporate event here. Very disappointed and it's very unprofessional. The drinks at the bar were not good. Made incorrectly and overly strong. I was told they had ginger ale for my drink. Tasted flat. The bartender said well we don't have actual ginger ale. So what is this? Sprite and sour. That is not ginger ale. One employee sat at the end of the bar all evening . The person at the check in pretty much just sat there all evening as well. No interaction. I had to go and ask questions about the golf and how we were supposed to go as a group. The golf course is just different holes in a big room. Dated and unappealing. The whole group was very disappointed and wanted to leave and go next door for ax throwing. No one checked on us throughout the evening in our reserved area we had for catered in bbq. Jack Stack caters and it was decent. This place came highly recommended by another business stating it was light and brighter than another indoor golf location. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
