There are several very unprofessional responses from the owners. Any good business owner would reach out to the customer and see what they can do to make the situation right or improve their employees customer service efforts. Not ban someone for driving on the grass on a golf course. If I could give zero stars, I would. First time on the course and I won't be returning. The course conditions are unacceptable. The driving range balls are so old they're falling apart, and the course itself is poorly maintained -- dead grass on the greens, mud throughout, and mats being used to tee off on hole 6. The staff's behavior made the experience even worse. The women running the facility were rude and confrontational. After briefly driving 90 degrees into the rough to retrieve a ball, I apologized several times and agreed to remain on the cart path. Despite that, I was still spoken to aggressively and removed from the course. Everyone makes mistakes. There is no reason to be become unhinged and continuously yelled at after acknowledging the mistake. It then took nearly 30 minutes for them to process a refund because no one seemed to understand how to operate the point-of-sale system. Golf is supposed to be relaxing, not an exercise in dealing with power-tripping staff who have no sense of customer service. Save your time and your money -- there are far better courses nearby that actually treat people with respect.

We arrived at the clubhouse, shared his membership info, paid for his round, and were told to head to the first tee and show the steward our receipt. We never got a shot off before we were told repeatedly that my son was not old enough to play the course. My son was devastated and embarrassed. It was about as bad of a first impression as a kid can have for a new sport. Fortunately we were able to get onto another course nearby, which was incredible... they will be getting all of our business from here on out. We will not be returning to St. Andrews even when my son meets their age requirement.

The check-in process was quick, easy and followed strict safety guidelines, which I appreciated. The gentleman in charge was friendly and kept things on track. The course itself was in good shape and did not allow carts at the time, which had me worried from a walking point of view; however, as hilly and beautiful as this course is, it was not unmanageable to walk. For the most part, the other golfers seemed to be enjoying themselves, getting some much needed exercise and time outside and still following the safety guidelines. We will definitely continue to frequent this course and enjoy the beautiful views of Kansas City while working on my golf game!
