Had a scheduled appointment for passport services. Photo only. Waited at passport window and waited past my appointment time so I went to main line for postal services only to be told that their camera was broken and then asked if I had photos of my own and copies of my bc and dl which I did not since I figured this was a business and that they have copy machines here and it didn't state that I needed to bring my own for my appointnent on their website. If I could leave no stars that would be more accurate!! The mail carrier never puts parcel locker keys in the correct boxes then when you make your claim they do not respond!! Showed up to verify status and inform them I no longer wish to have packages delivered to locker boxes but had to wait 45 min for the manager to tell me I have to wait 45 days to complete a claim but admitted due to similar numbers in my neighborhood he delivered to wrong address!!! Wonderful Update: The manager of customer service came to see me, brought packages, and promised there wouldn't be this craziness in future. I still have a lot of problems with the USPS, policy, and web page, but coming out to see me and such really improved my opinion of this location. The minus one star is for the USPS generally and the troubles happening in the first place, which was to be fair totally avoidable. Which the manager (a Mr Hinds I believe, though I may have confused him with someone else or heard the name wrong) said as much. Original Post: Add me to the list. Apparently I requested my packages be held in my sleep. Fun side fact: PO boxes are not accepted as addresses in USPS online forms. It's not just this location. The whole thing is broken. I could not believe the lack of basic humanity and compassion from the people at this post office. 90% of the time, if you are waiting in the normal line, they tell you to go wait at the Quick Service door, even if you've been waiting there an hour. This time, I was waiting at the Quick Service door for 40 minutes, and then all of a sudden I am being told that the lady there is gone, so I'll probably have to wait in the normal line. By this time, there were already 20 new people in this line!! They wanted me to go wait behind people who just got there and wait another hour instead of just servicing me!! What the hell??!?! What is WRONG with these people?? I lost it and stated the above clearly to the guy at the counter, he was very rude and told me to lower my voice or else he'd ask me to leave. For some reason, the postal worker who delivers my Amazon packages always decides to keep them an extra day before placing them in a parcel box. The issue I have now is that they did not deliver half of my packages. One half of them went to a parcel and the other half was not delivered because "my driveway and entranceway were not accessible". There is nothing is my driveway or porch..AT ALL!! The Los same postal worker stated to UPS that there was a dog and that was the reason they could not deliver. Also a lie... This is the worlds slowest and rudest post office!! They have a separate door for "Quick" items such as mail box keys, picking up a package etc. there is absolutely nothing quick about it! I dread coming here but unfortunately it's the post office I have to base on my neighborhood. The workers here are rude! Especially if you don't speak Spanish. When I think of the DMV/Tax office, I think of a dreary place with employees that highly dislike their occupation and the customers they see. This locations vibe was the same. The security guard was very communicative where the line forming should proceed and did so with his mast on his chin . His tone was a little snippy, but I suppose that's due to people being very argumentative with him. The facility was very clean and organized. The chairs were staggered and separated where I had a semblance of privacy as I waited. The plastic dividers where the employee were had no smudges on them. The woman who assisted me with my transaction is the reason for the 4 stars. She made my visit SO VERY PLEASANT. Actually, put a smile on my face for most of the day because she was so compassionate AND helpful in pointing me in the right direction. This location is not very good! If you need a key replacem/new lock to your mailbox if you live in a neighborhood it will not get replaced till over a month later after purchasing the new lock/keys. The post lady that has my neighborhood route told me that the post office hasn't given her the lock and they will get around to it when they feel like it. if I don't like it take it up with someone else. If you go to talk with the post master about any complaints, you will be met wit " oh the post master is in a meeting, he will get to you when he gets to you"! needless to say the post master never came out. If you're looking to pop-in and pop-out this is NOT the location for you. Came here at the beginning of the week around lunch-time and there was one person working the counter. The lady she was serving had a bunch of boxes she was dropping off and she's still taping stuff up as the line is growing 12+ deep. They have no parcel drop drawer so if you're looking to drop-n-go, again, this is not the place for you. You'll have to stand in line and hopefully you don't have anything else planned for a good 30 minutes to an hour. The post office struggles to compete and they don't understand why. Their answer is hiking up rates to adjust for lost sales, but the reality is they have failed to modernize. How you still have so many locations in 2023 (especially on the Southside) that don't have parcel drops is beyond me, especially with the volume of parcels that people ship nowadays. read more

Came in for 2:30pm passport appointment for 2 people. When we walk in there's 5+ people ahead of us in line. By the time we get up to the counter we get told we have to make another appointment because we arrived at 2:45. Meanwhile, the same grouchy old man that told us to make another appointment asks another postal worker if another guy was coming back with his passport to finish him out. Ridiculous location. Steer clear of this place and save yourself the time and frustration. I can see why USPS is slowly dying out. Poor customer service and lack of organization. read more

The passport service is a joke as I came early for my appointment there was no line to wait so I waited. Got here early, I was missing a copy and they told me I had to reschedule by Felix , yet as I waited a lady said she had forgotten to take pictures and that since she had worked and knew Felix that she went and took them. So they only did an exception because she knew Felix. I talked to supervisor Martha Jimenez and she said she had gotten there early and that's why they let her do that but I had gotten there early too. It's funny because even she told me that she had her appointment earlier and they still gave her a chance to go do that and that she had been running around Walgreens to get the pictures. Yeah this place is a joke and it's very unprofessional they don't have a printer or anything. read more

We went in to retrieve the mailbox key to our new residence. However, because it's a new area, they had to make a new mailbox key. Post office workers told us it would take a few weeks, but to come into the post office to get our mail as they would hold it. Two weeks later, as we were waiting for our key, we went to the post office. They said we didn't have any mail to check back in. Mind you, when you send a request for an address change, they email you notifications of mail coming in. So, we know we have mail. Fast forward 2 days, we come in, they said "oh you're the only one in your neighborhood without a key". So someone clearly dropped the ball. Then, they sent in a request for the courier to bring back the mail. A week later, we have yet to have an update. We have mail for our mortgage, bills, and school, which apparently is just floating around. How does the whole neighborhood have a key except us, and we're the 4th current resident in a new construction area. Yet, they keep asking us to come in every few days to check back for our mail. I call in, and there's no way of getting a hold of the local office. I was referred back to the national line, which only told us there was no investigation open, and we can't do anything until a reference number was created for them to look into it further. Mind you, we did everyone on our end. Still no update and no mail, which we need since we just moved into our home and need the important documents. Literally the worst office read more

I had multiple packages say delivered that were not. I tried calling but no one picks up and my call just ends every time. I went to the actual post office and they told me that one package would be delivered the next day, it wasn't then another time they told me the mail person put it in the wrong box (neighborhood boxes) and they would go get it but when they went back, it was gone. I hot an email saying my package was delivered to my front door during the am, it was not and I continued to check all day as well as my mailbox and nothing. UPDATE: I am missing another 5 Days worth of mail. We checked last Wednesday and today we only have Wednesday/Thursday mail. I have 3 w-2s and 1099s I need in there and other important mail. I am at a loss, no one at the barlite office or customer service will help me. I cannot love and don't have a car to pick up my mail at the post office everyday. That is the only solution I can think of since my mailman is blatantly stealing or throwing out our mail. I feel utterly helpless and trapped. I've lived at this address for 2 years. Never had any problems with the mail delivery until this past month. I live on a private property where I'm renting with 7 other tenants. All of the sudden, the mailperson can't get the mail delivered properly for 8 mailboxes!! I've had mail delivered to my neighbors or not at all!! I have lost correspondence that I've still not been able to locate and I'm going on 2 days without any mail delivery at all! This is after the driver was told to slow down and not drive so fast as there are children and dogs on the property. When I called to try and get some resolution, the number rings and then goes to a busy signal!!! Can't get any answers!! This is terrible customer service!! And our main Postal Office has been moved clear across town over 20 miles!! Who decided that was a good idea???!!!! Incredibly helpful. Had a lock/key problem at my home mailbox, called them up and within 2 hours the problem was solved. I couldn't believe they even took my call (with as busy as post offices get, especially this time of year), let alone fix the problem so quickly. Absolutely terrible service. I waited 10 mins in line (due to an understaffed counter). They sent me over to the quick service door because I needed info on a package that was not delivered to my home but marked delivered. Keep in mind this was after I tried to reach them over the phone to avoid this situation altogether to no avail. I waited in yet another line, finally got to the attendant. She went to the back to look up my package. I waited patiently 30 minutes until a man came to ask me if I had been helped. It turns out the lady finished her shift and left me waiting without notice. I gave my info to the man and after an additional 10 minutes waiting he didn't have any new information to give me. I am generally patient but this service experience was ridiculous. I am very impressed with the service at this Post Office. I have been there many times at different hours and have always been greeted with a smile and courteous service. All employees are exceptionally cordial and very helpful. Sometimes the lines get long but the service is always exceptional. They try to move the customers along in an expeditious manner. I have been at other Post Offices for service and the Tejeda Station exceeds them all in service and friendliness while providing information on questions. I'd say this post office is average in terms of wait times, compared to other post offices within San Antonio. It can get pretty busy at certain times, but you usually don't have to wait too long. The workers are sometimes rude. The guy behind the counter named Javier is always helpful and nice, though. read more
