Naicom is an Internet cable company (it connects to your wifi or through an ethernet cable to yor…read moreInternet) that offers a wide range of channels at much cheaper prices for the basic service than competitors such as Liberty. There is no contract. Naicom has a basic service of $30/month that gives you a mix of over 50 local and international channels, of which many are in Spanish. Naicom also offers $70 and $100 packages (with the $100 version giving you HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, etc.), though with those prices, you're getting into Liberty price ranges. You can see details of Naicom's packages here: https://www.facebook.com/naicomtv/photos/a.2062652333954147.1073741828.1781407192078664/2063441387208575/?type=3&theater I recently purchased a Naicom box at Sam's Club and installed it on my TV. The cable box costs $129.99, which includes a month of the $100 service. The set-up instructions could be better, but it wasn't complicated. The picture quality is good, So far (as of December 27), they still don't have all channels available, though I've been told that this should be remedied by early January. I'll write an update.

I watch movies at 4K on my big screen using Naicom's set top box. Since I have the premium package I have HBO to cover anything missing from their video club. Plus the video club has very current selection of movies for streaming. I think they are just getting started as a company relatively speaking, and I have seen a hiccup or two. Also if you are in Puerto Rico, they have a local broadcast center ...

It is virtually a monopoly and it is reckless in its arrogant requirement that customers must provide their Social Security Numbers to receive service. Many states have outlawed this practice, but Puerto Rico still permits this. There is no wonder why identity theft is rampant in Puerto Rico when you have businesses like OneLink strong-arming people into handing over their Social Security Number. Do not use this service until OneLink changes its policy. They should at least give customers the choice to pay extra deposit money, or provide alternative forms of ID if they choose to be prudent about not divulging their Social Security Numbers. A better choice is the free internet service at each PR Starbucks. Also, contact the Puerto Rican legislature to ban this antiquated practice which is leading to ruined credit and ruined lives because of compromised Social Security Numbers. Take a stand against OneLink and the other companies who abuse our SSN's!

Forget about renting movies online, playing games, even using YouTube. Their customer support is horrible. Their ads are even worse, ironically pointing out that other services are behind, when actually cable ISPs throughout the island have higher speeds, uncapped. Wish I could get 10Mbps Liberty cable at home.
