I had heard about Saatva and when I realized there was a showroom in Park Ave in Winter Park, I dashed over during my lunch break. That area of town I avoid due to its terrible parking and that afternoon was no exception. Finally getting a small spot near the store I dashed in and worked with Joey on getting me what I needed. The graphite memory foam topper in Queen was $295 but getting to feel the quality in store was what made me get it. It's been less thank a week since I placed my order and here is my new topper. It came in tightly wrapped up but it opened into a perfectly sized topper with the elastic on each corner to help hold it in place. I laid down for a quick second and the sensation was spectacular. I cannot wait to rest on it later tonight.

They had mattresses with all the different firmness including latex ones which was a new concept for us. And, they are sturdy and supposed to last 20 plus years. One of the mattresses we tried was supposed to accommodate up to 500 pounds per person, my hubby said, "Great! There is a room us to grow in this!" The salesperson Joey was so helpful and informative and didn't push for us to buy anything. They guarantee their mattresses for one year if you find yourself in the situation like, "I think I made a mistake in buying this because we want a softer or harder mattresses" and they charge $99 processing fee for you to exchange. My husband researched extensively online and found out these are comparable to beautyrest but much better priced. There are only 16 of these stores at this time for you to try a Saava mattress, we thought it was great to be able to try them out in person!

We decided to pop into this storefront location at the Millenia Mall to see what our best options will be. Upon entering the store, we noticed 4 associates working, but the store was empty. I have been to other locations in the past and usually there is at least 1 other family looking at the couches, so we felt lucky to have the store to ourselves. We told an associate that we were looking to get new covers, so he brought us to the back of the store to look at all of the swatches. We found the cover swatch we liked the best and proceeded to ask if they could help us add some more pieces to our existing configuration. The nice thing about LoveSac is that the couches are fully customizable, from the arrangement to the covers you put on them. Below is a photo of what the configuration process looks like, each square is a 1'x1' space. Once we found the configuration we liked, they were able to pull up our past order to see what pieces we already had and which ones we would need to add. They were able to give us pricing, which was a lot higher than we initially expected (granted we have fabric covers now and would like to switch to leather), but they do run so great sales! The sale going on while we were at the store was 30% off store wide, and you can add the 5% HEROES discount on top of that! Since we aren't planning to expand our couch for a few months, we decided to keep our ideas saved to our profile, so that we are able to walk in and purchase the additional pieces when the time comes. The best part about LoveSac is the lifetime warranty and that the covers are machine washable! We can't wait to add to our configuration soon!

My plan was to go to a few mattress stores to test out what kind I like and then buy it or something of a similar style online, since I know little to nothing about mattresses. As luck would have it, I decided to try and find a local store before heading to Mattress 1 or Mattress Firm, and Google pointed me here. I didn't know exactly what a mattress liquidation store is, but essentially it's like closeout or overstock sold from the main suppliers (in this case JC Penney) and as such you find all the brand names at none of the brand name prices. My fiance and I had a ton of questions and tried out pretty much every queen size they had (they do have a rather small selection, maybe 6-8 each of queen and king). Omar was super helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions and not only did they offer same day delivery for a very reasonable price, but they added on mattress take away for a really reasonable fee despite that not being something they normally do. They usually sell their mattresses to other mattress stores, but this showroom is also open to the public, which turned out to be a stroke of luck. The verdict remains to be seen on the mattress itself but the buying experience was definitely A+.

Then there is the furniture and décor. It is eclectic, global, colorful, and usually visually light. You are not going to find heavy, dark, traditional pieces anchoring a formal estate here. Instead, you get carved wood, woven textures, interesting silhouettes, and pieces that feel like they came from somewhere with a story attached. I gravitate toward the exotic details every single time. One of my favorite finds ever was a carved wooden fruit bowl with a sculpted handle on top and a completely unique design. It felt like something you would stumble upon in a market overseas and then carefully carry home in your suitcase. I also have a personal weakness for anything featuring lions, tigers, or leopards, so I always keep my eye out for those motifs when I am there. It is a dangerous game. There are so many things in that store that I have to start curbing my enthusiasm before I even walk through the door. Otherwise, I will convince myself that I absolutely need half the place. World Market is not just shopping for me. It is a treasure hunt with serious temptation attached.
