We just used Telma for the first time for Our small breed doggies. One of our gals is 14 and having some health issues due to age, she is fragile and very nervous. Both dogs were really well taken care of and look fantastic. I can honestly say that it was the best cuts they ever had. Not one nick, not any weird shave lines, they smell and look great. I don't have many pet groomers to compare Animal House to but next time I may try the place right next door. I'll start with good, staff seems to be incredibly friendly except for the woman who snapped at me for trying to pick up my dog from the back entrance, which is apparently only for dropping off. They had same day appointments available and it took approximately 2 hrs for his grooming which includes wash, shampoo, cleaned his ears, trimmed nails, brushed teeth. My dog smelled so good and his coat was So soft when I got him back! All of this was only $52. Which is better than your average petsmart. Now the bad which I wasn't to keen about was that the cut seems to be way too long on his tail and ears. I'm sure you can just fix this by telling the groomer next time. Also I didn't like that I couldn't see the grooming area or the groomer at work like at petsmart. It also wasn't the cleanest smelling of places, it smelled like dog real badly. read more

Mon cher Pierre (a Himalayan/Persian kitty) adores the lion cut expert groomer Telma gives him. He literally purrs for 2 days he's so happy to get rid of all that hair. Another groomer (at a vets) told me he had to be sedated, an extra $40 charge. When I first brought him to Animal House, I warned about him and said I would understand if he couldn't be groomed as they don't sedate animals. To my surprise, she said he was a sweetie. And I could certainly tell by how calm he was afterwards that he hadn't been traumatized. You can teach an old dog a new trick. Recently I popped over to animal house to find a new interactive toy for my young dog. While shopping I got to talking to the clerk she helped me find the perfect toy that has occupied my doggy ever since. While shopping I mentioned my old English bull dog has lost the will to walk in her own to go potty. She encouraged me to teach my old dog a new trick by having her walk for tiny treats. Well it worked and I could be happier. This shop always has the perfect item to help my needs! read more

I take my dog to Animal House a few times a year. Every single time I get my lab back he smells and feels amazing! Having a ten year old lab, he needs special care for arthritis. The groomers are extremely patient and experienced. They treat him like he is their own. They even dress him in a complimentary bandanna that is perfect for the season. Today was an exceptional experience. My dog was about to have a seizure and the groomer (who happened to also be a vet tech) called me to warn me and asked if i would like to pick him up or they would take him to the animal hospital. They notified me immediately and assured me he was in good hands. For someone who considered a pet, family, there is no place I feel more secure leaving my gentle old soul of a dog. I have been a client for over 12 years. Last year they mutilated my boxers nails and he bleed all over my backseat. I didn't ask for them to clean my car or comp my groom.. I gave them the benefit of the doubt ., I drop the ball as busy moms sometimes do and The assistant manager was condescending and ignorant. I find Animal House to be best for all things pets!!!! I have my dog groomed and they always take such good care of him- and he looks adorable for such a steal of a price! I buy such healthy and good food for my dog at animal house too! The animal house staff know so much about food! They give you a consultation and free samples on what food will work best for my dogs health. As you hear so many recalls on dog food it's so important to know what you are feeding your dog. And animal house will help educate you on what you need to know! I've bought some great quality collars over the years and fabulous toys. I know people do not go into dog grooming unless they love animals but we have a very neurotic dog who has been thrown out of almost every groomer around. The really cool thing about the staff at Animal House is that they took the time to listen to my issues, and then suggested an appointment time when Sammy would be all alone with one groomer and the bather. Brought our Newfie puppy in for her first grooming appointment today. She looks completely adorable- Dana did the groom exactly how I asked her too. Our puppy is quite large and it was her first experience she's needless to say she was a bit nervous. Animal House staff were professional, caring, and nice when dealing with our puppy. I LOVE Animal House. I have had many of my dogs groomed there over the last few years and they always come home smelling so good and looking great. The staff takes extra time with me and my babies to ensure they understand how I want the hair to be cute. I am always 100% satisfied. I take advantage of array of high quality dog food and treats every time I am there. The staff are all very knowledgeable of the foods and what would work best for my pets.
