My boyfriend and I decided to make a fall date out of visiting Temple Hall Farm after seeing the beautiful pumpkin and sunflower photos online. It is a little under an hour from DC, and tickets cost 15 dollars per person. That price includes a pumpkin and as many flowers as you want to take home, which sounded like a great setup for a festive afternoon. When you arrive, they take you on a wagon ride out to the fields. Once you get off, they give you a little cart along with a mini saw and a pruner so you can cut your pumpkin right off the vine. They also point you toward areas marked with orange flags, where pumpkins are supposedly still growing. That part was fun in theory and we were hopeful at first. Unfortunately, once we started searching, the experience went downhill. The pumpkins in the flagged areas were either completely rotting, cracked open, or shriveled. We checked everywhere they recommended and still struggled to find anything worth taking home. It took more than 15 minutes just to find a single pumpkin that was not in a sad state. Honestly, if you do choose to come here, do not even bother walking into the actual fields. There are pumpkins sitting near the entrance that are in far better condition. Grab one of those and save yourself the disappointment. The sunflower situation was even more surprising. Every sunflower was dried out and brown. After seeing so many bright, Instagram-worthy photos online, it was a huge letdown. We were really looking forward to cutting some fresh flowers to bring home, but there were none to be found. Because it is marketed as a family friendly fall destination, we expected more activities too. There was only a slide and a bouncy pad for kids, and not much else. The whole area felt neglected and honestly a bit forgotten. I can only imagine how many parents end up taking home pumpkins that will not last through the week, just so their kids can feel like they found one. There were a few vendors selling snacks. We tried the apple cider, which had good flavor, but it had a fizzy hint that made it seem like it was already starting to ferment. We left feeling disappointed and wishing we had gone somewhere else. The farm has so much potential based on the photos online, but the reality did not match at all. If you are searching for a fun pumpkin picking date or a festive fall atmosphere, I would not recommend Temple Hall Farm. There are definitely better options out there for the same drive and price. read more

We LOVE this farm and the best thing is that it's free (except during their fall festival from ~Sep to Oct). So many things to do, the trampolines are a huge hit with my kids, the sand it amazing, so soft! Love the big slide and playground and the animals are always hanging near the fences (unlike other farms) so you always get a good sighting of them. We've even been lucky enough to come during feeding hours and they let the kids help with the feeding. Ample parking and clean bathrooms, what else can you ask for? read more

The ONLY thing that sucked was the traffic back out to the main road, took 25 minutes. Admission was $15, there is a $3 discount on the weekdays. We were informed as we left it's free to visit during the off-season. PLENTY of pumpkins to choose from, just some off-roading to get them so bring a wagon!! Flowers are beautiful to pick and to just admire with the bees and butterflies that surround them. Our boys had a blast!!! From the tractor ride, the jumping pillow, and the slide (which conveniently had stairs instead of just a hill you climb like other farms). Drinks $2.50/$3, chips $3, but there is a food truck with corndogs, hotdogs, etc. There is also a station to wash your pumpkin and they have wagons to help you bring your pumpkins to the car, just be mindful its not that many to borrow. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is plenty too. Can't wait to come back next year! read more

What a wonderful place to spend the day! We went last month, had such a blast and just had to return for their fall festival today! We honestly would have been back sooner but we wanted to make sure we had the whole day available to take in the animals, beautiful scenery, and enjoy the day. This place is massive and what we appreciate it is that it's really a beautiful farm and they really showcase that. There's goats, chickens/turkeys/roosters, llamas, donkeys, the sweetest pig, and even a white peacock (this one actually roams around freely)! We were able to help feed some of the animals and even pet some of them too! For the fall fest there were pumpkins galore, a pillow bounce, tractor ride, corn sandbox, corn hole, and a pumpkin cannon (which was my personal favorite). There was a food truck selling the breakfast of champs, funnel cake, and even a beer vendor too! So many opportunities for some great photos too! The restrooms are super clean and the staff is so so so friendly! Shout out to Emily who is our absolute favorite! We saw them hosting a birthday party today and can't wait to host one for our little guy soon :) read more

Temple Hall farm has a fall festival that is really a bargain for $15/pp. under 2 are free. Either take a hayride to the pumpkin patch or walk, but the ride is more fun. Everyone gets a pumpkin plus sunflowers and other flowers that are growing you can choose to cut too. As far as play, there are a couple of hill slides , a swing set, a corn bin, play kitchen, playhouse, bouncing pillows, and farm animals. It was less overwhelming than Cox Farms for my 18 month old. There was a "food truck" but it only served hot dogs, chips, and drinks. While Temple Hall is farther than I'd like to travel, I'd highly recommend as a really good experience for little kiddos with much less stimulation than Cox Farms but just as much fun. read more

Had a wonderful time making memories by picking pumpkins. They had wagons to pull and get your pumpkins as well. They had food, fun and games for friends and family. Definitely recommend coming here and early to get the best pumpkins if you prefer carving or decorating. read more

A nice farm park. When we went on a cool cloudy day. They have a small playground. They also have two large jump pillows surrounded by sand and two large tubes to slide down. Our kids really enjoyed everything. They also have a couple of giant chairs. I'm sure they have more during events and such. We will be coming back. read more

I was looking for an afternoon day trip that allowed us to enjoy the outdoors without being in a noisy crowd. This was the perfect sWe took a self guided tour that included a small agricultural museum, historic picturesque outbuildings, and adorable farm animals. Creatures we visited included a white peacock, piglets, geese, turkeys, ducks, alpacas, goats, sheep, a donkey, and a majestic horse. Came here for the corn maze again this year. Each year, they seem to surpass themselves with their design! Every year, we forget to leave extra time to participate in all of the extra activities they have including animal demonstrations, humongo pillow bounces (lack a good name for them), corn hole and other fun stuff. The staff are all super nice. I even held a snake this year!! EEEK!!! The only downfall is that sometimes the correct answer to the quines that help guide you through the maze isn't always there (i.e. the Steelers won the super bowl 6 times, not the teams listed). The corn maze was a lot of fun, until a group of kids, begin throwing corn, which hit one of my friends in my group. There were no adults supervising these terrible kids. The corn hit my friend on the leg and created a huge bruise. After we screamed and asked for them to please stop, instead they kept throwing more corn at us from their hiding place. This could have been a worst incident, if corn hit someone's face or a small child on the head. We reported incident to a lady in small market, but she didn't seem to be to worry, except provided managers business card. I really was very disappointed on how un organized this place was. Very very dangerous for little ones to attend Corn maze. Risk in being hit with corn thrown from unsupervised kids is high. I do not recommend this place. read more

Even though we've been in Leesburg for years, we had never been to Temple Hall Farm Park before... this year we finally went to the Corn Maize (it is a corn maze, in case you're wondering) . My husband and I, our 7 &10 yr olds and my 24 yr old son & his GF went. Only my older son had been before. We went during the day, split into 3 groups and did the maze... the kids had a lot fun. My husband and I were able to take a walk by ourselves! That was wonderful. Then we did some bull riding (extra charge), got some snacks (extra charge), the kids jumped on the jumping pillow - that was a big hit, they climbed on the spider web (rope maze thing), we visited the animals, and shot corn at targets... we opted out of the pumpkin shooting because it cost extra and we didn't think it looked much different than shooting the corn - which was included in admission. We watched a pig race, played hillbilly horseshoes (with toilet seats and pvc pipes), and bounced around on some blow up horses. It was silly and it was fun. We were there for about 3 hours or so, and then came home for dinner & football while the kids carved a pumpkin...so we had to leave. A great day. I still think the littles prefer Pumpkinville (Leesburg Animal Park) or Great Country Farms over Temple Hall. But I think (I am not sure about this) that they do a "haunted" corn maze after dark and I expect that would be a great hit with middle school+ kids and even adults who enjoy that kind of thing. Overall, I am not sure this will be an automatic "must do" trip each fall, but I am glad we went, it was fun, and I would go again. read more

Solid place for a corn maize. Its $12 for adults and $9 for adults after 6pm. It's a great time to spend with friends and family. No matter how savvy you might be, a corn maize will always get you confused. Especially when you visit a corn maize as large as this one. Also, they have a huge trampoline, firepit, corn shooting game, paintball, and a pumpkin cannon game too. It's a nice place to relax on a fall day if you're out in the Leesburg area. read more

This was my first time visiting this farm for a pumpkin patch experience with my kids and our homeschool community. From going to places like cox farm in the past or pre-covid, Temple Hall farm was Amazing because it was not crowded at all, everything was within reach, everyone was friendly and there was big and clean bathroom for visitors instead of the John! This place was awesome! It's still $12 for adults and kids 2 and under are free. I very much recommend getting here when the place opens at 10am because not a lot of people are there, so you get to do what you want without any lines. My 2 year old had a BLAST! She jumped on the inflatables, played on the playground, she LOVED shooting corn out of a blaster, and she liked looking at the chickens that ran around. There was also pumpkin shooting for the adults and rides via a tractor. Overall it was great fun and it was great for a 2 year old. Totally recommended! read more

HORRIBLE!! No security and nothing but a bunch of unruly teenagers running around and throwing corn at everyone. We actually heard a fight in the middle of the corn maze. DO NOT go after dark, especially with small children. The place is staffed with teenagers/college age kids, who just don't care. Someone is going to get seriously injured and the Parks Department will get sued before they do anything. read more

I really enjoy that this is a great festival, not too far off the beaten path, and it was really not crowded at all for the Saturday before Halloween! It was amazing that we didn't have to deal with any large crowds, just a few other groups of people. The maze was a lot of fun, and it was nice that they had two entrances/exits so that if you complete the first path quickly (like we did), you have another path to try! The cider and hot chocolate were alright. Not super great, but for the price you can't complain. There are tons of activities for kids, but it was also a bunch of fun for all ages. With the admission price, almost all of the activities are included like 20 shots of paintball, the corn cannon, the maze, and seeing a bunch of farm animals including the pig race twice a day. The ONLY thing I didn't enjoy was the little hut the pigs were in seemed a bit tiny and kids were leaning in and poking at them, no one was really around to monitor them. I'm not sure how many pigs were in there though, and if it was only the three that raced then I'm sure they had enough space. The workers all seemed very friendly with the way they were handling the other animals, like ponies, goats and turkeys. They also have a little market that you can buy pumpkins, fudge, and some preserves. If you want a nice fall festival spot that isn't crowded, I highly suggest you check them out! read more

Over the weekend I brought my son to Temple Hall's fall festival and we were so impressed with all the activities that were there. Not only did my son have a great time but I really enjoyed myself as well. There were pig races, rides around the farm, a free round of paintball shooting (at targets), corn husk shooting, moon bounces, snakes for the kids to pet and hold, camel rides (at a cost), face painting, and the corn maze. We spent five hours total there and could have spent even longer - we literally left when they closed. I'm so glad that we went and I highly recommend spending a day there. read more

So glad we came! There are so many options to choose from in NOVA but we chose this place because of the "pumpkin cannons" and we loved it. It is not too large and unmanageable and there are NO crowds. We didn't have to wait for anything. We loved the cow train, jumping pillows, various bounce houses and slides, the corn ear barn where they put little treasure coins and toy dump trunks, pony ride, pig race. They have a nice shaded tented place for you to eat if you brought food. They have corn dogs, hot dogs, tenders, fries and a separate bratwurst food truck. We enjoyed the lemonade stand and taking a respite in the air conditioned market. The bathroom facilities are nice. They had farm animals roaming around - chickens, turkeys, goats, peacocks, a koi pond, pigs, and horses. Our favorite though was the paintball shooting (you get free balls to shoot with each entry), Apple cannon shooting (cost money), and the free corn shooting. It was really fun even for our 3.5 year old. Oh and the water pump duck races were also a favorite. The entire farm is clean and well kept and all my interactions with staff were friendly. Oh and the wagon ride too! We will be back! I highly recommend! We spent 4.5 hours here and didn't even attempt to try the corn maze. We could've stayed all day if it wasn't 90 degrees when we went. read more
