I know this review should be for the studio itself and all that good stuff but lets be sincere, we are no longer in the 60's and 70's where we were limited to the tattoo artists near naval bases and resort-cities boardwalks, tattoo parlors are a dime-a-dozen now a days and the differential is nothing more than the artist's skills ALONG with customer service. This will define your experience. Nothing more, nothing less. Asepsis is not what sets you apart. It's what you should have from the get-go. This place is very clean, nice atmosphere, accept credit cards, has plenty of parking spaces, etc... the works. Now let's talk about what sets it apart: The artist Colleen B.! Skilled and creative professional with a can-do-attitude that will make you follow her wherever she will be tattooing. She is not only a SUPERB artist but she is also someone that has the people skills that is nice to have when you spend several hours with someone that close. Awesome little building (sketchy location) but the guy who pierced me was a total jerk (I believe his name was Matt). Not to mention, my piercings are extremely uneven. The guy made it clear that he didn't want to be there, especially when he made a comment on how he's only there to make his rent payment so I need to hurry because he didn't want to be there all day. Everything was extremely rushed which is probably why the piercing aren't even or at the same angle. If you want piercings, go somewhere else. This place is garbage for piercings and overpriced (save your money and go to Virginia Beach Ink). UPDATE (May 30, 2018): The piercings were incredibly uneven and one was so far out that it would get caught on my clothing and would hurt so I removed both piercings. I've had 2 piercings and 2 tattoos done here and every time they've been very friendly and the results have been awesome. Sometimes you go to a tattoo place and they act like they're better than you or they are very rude for some reason but I've been here a lot of times and even the times I came and wasn't able to have a walk-in appointment, they were very polite and cool about it. I would totally go back again next time I have the money for a tattoo xD read more

The owner of the shop, I believe his name was Josh did amazing! I was very nervous to get my tragus pierced and he helped calm me down and I felt NO PAIN. Of course with a needle going through your ear pain is inevitable but when you have someone trusting and calm doing it, it makes you feel 100x better about the situation! The girls at the front were very helpful and kind! Good group of people here! I unfortunately live in a different state but if I lived here, this place would be my go to! My husband and I went to Temple Tattoo on the recommendation of a friend, who put us in touch with Graig. We cannot say enough good things about him! We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and wanted to do something special, so we decided to get each other's names tattooed on our ring fingers. Neither of us had ever had a tattoo before, so we were very excited and nervous! After being turned down by three other tattoo parlors in the area (all declined to tattoo more than one letter on a finger), we were lucky enough to be put in touch with Graig. He came highly recommended and we were told he is the best at finger tattoos. We were not disappointed. From the very first text exchanges, explaining what we wanted, he was super nice and understanding, and was willing to do this for us. Upon meeting Graig, we felt totally at ease. He greeted us as soon as we walked in and was super friendly. We loved his vibe (and that of the studio). Everyone that worked there was super friendly and the place felt calming. Graig came out to talk to us before the appointment, and had already sketched up our names for the tattoos. We loved what he had designed, and got them done that day. Graig was extremely personable, kind, professional and respectful. He never once made us feel anything but accepted and comfortable, even though we were "tattoo virgins". We truly felt at ease, which made the whole process seem easy. We are SO HAPPY with our tattoos and so thankful that we found Graig who gave us exactly what we wanted! He told us that tattooing is addicting, and once you get one, you usually want more. I think he's right!! :-) I will DEFINITELY be getting a few more! read more

After the third phone call I was able to make a piercing appointment. Lots of unanswered questions about what age I could get piercings done for my two daughters. I took off work early and prepared my 3 year old to get her ears pierced. They called me an hour before the appointment to let me know they were unable to get a hold of the piercer. Very frustrated with their lack of professionalism. It was not easy to explain to a three year old. read more

I am extraordinarily disappointed in this business. I came to visit my best friend here from South Carolina and we had planned to get tattoos together. When we were scheduling the appointment, we were given options for two days; Monday July 3rd or Tuesday July 4th as the 5th was the day I'd be leaving. We eventually scheduled for 12:00 on Monday the 3rd and put down a 50% deposit for each tattoo; amounting to $120. We called that morning (after trying to call several times the day before) to see if there was later availability that day because something had come up. We were then told by the woman up front with the undercut that we were down for Monday the 10th. Obviously this wasn't going to work simply because I wasn't going to be here, nor did I know when I'd be able to come back to Virginia. Since initially we were told that July 4th was an option, and we didn't want to waste our deposit, we tried to schedule for then. What seemed like a very last minute decision, she told us they decided to close for the day, and left us with no other options, no advice on what to do, and to put it frank just plain awful customer service. Especially since she mis-scheduled us in the first place and she did absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue when we asked for our deposit back as we obviously had no need to go here anymore. And actually, when we politely explained to her our situation, and asked for a refund, she rolled her eyes at us. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed, angry, and we are now out $120 that will never be used. I'm glad I don't live here because I would never support this business after this very poor customer service experience. However, I'm sure the artists here are very talented, but it's a shame how we were treated. And for the record, we have a copy of the receipt for $120, scheduled for Monday the 3rd. read more
