Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. After deciding not to move forward with the project, I experienced what I believe was unprofessional conduct. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, I felt my request was not appropriately escalated. Following that, I believe I was subjected to repeated unwanted phone calls and what I perceived as retaliatory behavior, including a negative BBB review directed at my business. I was also concerned that information I had provided during the sales process was used in a way that made me uncomfortable. As someone who was attempting to extend a project worth more than $30,000 for a client, professionalism and trust were extremely important to me. A customer should be able to decide not to do business with a company without worrying about retaliation, harassment, or having their information mishandled. I have since updated my rating because I reached out directly to Sol-Up's COO, who responded promptly and professionally. I truly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns, and his response demonstrated the level of customer service I had hoped to receive from the beginning. This review is not intended to discourage others from doing business with Sol-Up. Rather, I sincerely hope the company addresses situations like this through additional training and oversight. My experience raised concerns about how customer information is handled and how complaints are managed. If I felt uncomfortable after sharing only basic contact information, it naturally made me wonder how other sensitive information, such as a home address or financial details, would be safeguarded. I genuinely wish Sol-Up and its leadership the best, and I hope future customers receive the professional, respectful experience they deserve.

Both reviewers rated Robco as excellent, 5 of 5. Robco has a Yelp score of 4.7, based on 272 reviews. I was impressed by the enthusiasm any of the positive Robco reviews. We decided to go with Robco Electric, mostly because of their raving online reviews. Robco installs Q Cells panels, manufactured by a Korean company (I don't know if they use parts made in China). Their price was in line with the other installers with just over $24,000 upfront cost, with a net cost of just over $17,000 after the 30% federal tax credit. Our payback period was computed as 7 years, 11 months. I'm not sure we'll be living here long enough to realize the benefit, but supposedly solar panels add about 4% to the selling price of a home. Robco installed our panels just over two years ago, and after installation of the two-way meter and the Nevada Power inspection we were generating electric power and selling our excess back to the grid. Our system is rated at 8075Kwh, so we paid $3.02/Kwh before the tax credit, $2.11/Kwh after the credit. Since Nevada Power has been very aggressive about raising rates, our payback period will be somewhat less than estimated, which is great, I guess. I recently contacted Robco to see how they were doing. Their office manager was optimistic that the the "Big Beautiful Bill" eliminating the credit for solar installations would not destroy their business. He stated that even without the tax credit, solar was still justified in Las Vegas, since we get so much sun.

My 7.54kW system used 29 - 260W LG panels split into 2 arrays and utilized both M215 and M250 Enphase microinverters. The reason I wanted to try 2 different microinverters was to compare the performance. In the end, it really didn't matter much. Bottom line, shading and weather were the dominate factors in power generation and all the crazy details I looked at were in the noise. It was still fun at the time. So 6+ years after having this system installed on my roof, I have had ZERO problems (kudos to LA Solar Group and the quality of the hardware). My system has produced over 72 MegaWatt-Hours of power and each and every solar panel and microinverter has reported data (input voltage/current, output voltgae/frequency, and power) from day one over that period of time. This telemetry allows me to see exactly what's going on in my system and if any one of the 29 panel/microinverters acts up, I will know. My system has already paid for itself based on my calculations, so I am a very happy customer. In addition, when I have questions for the LA Solar team, I still get answers. Highly recommended. With the cost of solar dropping in price over the years, it's really a no-brainer.

I say this because I did my homework right and had obtained over six estimates, and this company beat all the other five not only on price and quality, but also on other (rather important) things as you can see below. 1. Price: This company beat all the others by nearly 20%, and all the other five estimates came very close to one another to the point where I was suspecting that there is some sort of illegal "price fixing" that is rampant industry-wide, but not for this company since it came far away (and below) all the others. 2. Equipment Quality: The system they installed was the most advanced compared to all the other bids. It used higher-end Panasonic panels, and Enphase micro-inverters and combiner. Others bid for lesser-quality no-name panels with one string inverter and a set of optimizers. After much research, I think a micro-inverter based system is superior to the string-inverter based system (so don't listen to the confusing information you find on the web, which portrays the two types of systems as being "equivalent"). So with a total of just 20 panels, my projected annual solar energy production should be about one and a half times my consumption. This should bring down my PG&E bill to the minimum $10/month, and should be able to provide all the electric energy needed for an extra electric car I may purchase in the future. 3. System design: This company had the most precise and realistic design, and that is very important because some of the bids I received were not realistic as they sketched more panels on my South-facing side of the roof than that side could possibly fit. This inflates the projected energy production, but is NOT realistic. In my case, the optimal design was to use the Southern-facing and Eastern-facing sides of the roof and to arrange the panels 50/50 on both sides. This company nailed the design right, but other bids like I said was either plain wrong, or were not realistic. With this design I was able to get a peak production of 6.2 KW, which is close to the theoretical 6.8 KW peak (the difference being mostly due to the orientation of my house). 4. Consumption and Net Monitoring: Most contractors let you monitor ONLY the energy production of your solar system, but this company gave me the ability to monitor the CONSUMPTION of energy by my house and the net energy exchanged between me and utility company on an instantaneous basis (actually every 15 minutes) and on the same Enlighten App as shown in the picture. This is really useful if you would like to do any energy planning in your house to see who/what is really consuming electricity. Granted that you can see the consumption on your utility website, but that data is one or two days delayed and does not show up in the same view as the production, and these two problems make the data from the utility company useless for that purpose. 5. Other: All the folks of the company I have dealt with are ethical in their dealing and are reasonable. The company installed the system in two days, which is very quick. Getting the consumption monitoring to work correctly took a while longer though.

Tried calling many Solar companies and Panda responded right away. They came out and were able to remove the battery in under 3 hours and all the cables and other associated stuff with the Battery. They knew exactly what they were doing and returned my electrical system and solar to the original makeup. I highly recommend Panda because they responded quickly and were totally honest. They did not try to sell me anything as well. They came in and did the job they promised and as quoted. If you are looking for a solar company I would highly recommend Panda solar.

He was able to come out a few days later, take measurements and get me a quote. He was also able to source the door and trim which saved me a lot of guesswork. As soon as the doors came in, he reached out to schedule and he had the doors hung within a couple of hours. His attention to detail is what really stood out to me. He was able to source the exact doors, trim and handles I have so it looks like this came installed from the builder. Everything is level and looks great. I immediately believed them and signed the contract, but I canceled it because I thought everything was dishonest. This is happened with 4 solar companies in Las Vegas after reading the contract I kept canceling. Finally, Tempo Solar came to me. the Tempo Solar representative named Joe came very professionally, he knew the problem and was also fast and honest. I signed the contract without waiting for the solar to be installed. He did it fast. The permit was obtained very quickly. Even when I went to Seattle, Joe came to check and always followed up. I was happy. So, for those of you who want to use Tempo Solar for solar, call Joe. I paid off Tempo Solar & I called Joe and thanked him and Joe said, "Enjoy all of your savings. Deciding to go solar for my second house was a challenging decision, especially since my previous experience was not positive. I had a Sunverge battery in the house attached to our solar system. Tried calling many Solar companies and Panda responded right away. They came out and were able to remove the battery in under 3 hours and all the cables and other associated stuff with the Battery. They knew exactly what they were doing and returned my electrical system and solar to the original makeup. I highly recommend Panda because they responded quickly and were totally honest. Not long…read moreafter our Solar Panels were installed the company that did the installation went bankrupt and M+S Electric took over the SunPower account. The issue we were having was with the equipment that had been installed by the original company. Eventually SunPower replaced the equipment, all of the solar panels and rebated the money lost due to not having solar panels. M+S Electric replaced everything. Their installers were great, worked quickly and efficiently. Since then we've had NO ISSUES. I'm please to update their rating and give them a well deserved 5 stars! SunPower is an excellent company as well. Thanks M+S Electric and SunPower Solar ... WELL DONE.
