HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USE THIS COMPANY NOR THE PRODUCT THEY SAYS IS A TOP OF THE GRADE EQUIPMENT NAMED "Train"unless you have $12,000 to to $15,000 to flush down the drain yearly! Save yourself the money time and headache!!! I spent $12,000 cash for what is supposed to be top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit which is called the train. I wish I would've just stuck with the Lennox and whatever else extra I had to get to get the same air-conditioning unit that I've had in my house for 23 years without a problem! The 24th year of me living in my house, my air conditioner takes a dump and I call Bob's air conditioning and heating. Not even one year later after they install the train that's supposed to be a top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit with a price tag of $12,000 cash ( $15,000 if you had to finance through them ) that was spent. The coil wall is separating in a vertical line in multiple places, seven places to be exact! The separating is wide enough that you could almost stick your hand through each separation point of the coil. I communicated this to Bob's air-conditioning. They sent a tech out. The tech said that somebody may be have opened up the unit and got in there and separated it as if. Someone had some type of benefit to open up the air-conditioning unit panels take off the top of the roof and everything else what he had to do to access the unit and his so called professional diagnostic conclusion is that. Somebody probably did this to sabotage the unit in so many words. I finally get a call from whoever Frederick is at Bob's AC unit air-conditioning and the conversation didn't go so professionally. Voices was raised as if I'm the bad guy, unprofessional tone, unprofessional delivery, unprofessional comments on him, saying he'll be letting the manufacturer know that he had a customer that was complaining about a coil, which I stopped him in his tracks and let him know when you write that make sure you put a paying customer that paid $12,000 cash in your message of the complaining customer. I was told that he's looking at brand new units that has the same issue right in front of him this separation on multiple different units. I immediately told him you shouldn't be putting your name on that unit if the manufacturer is starting out with that kind of a product and have issues with it. He advised me that this is a top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit which I beg to differ cause it ain't even last a year without me having any issues but it's supposed to be the top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit for $12,000 and not even a year later, separation in a coils in a vertical line that is beyond deterioration and I'm pretty sure it's gonna get worse rapidly. So now I'm just AOL of $12,000 because it's not not working and it's past 90 days I was told. So I guess I need to figure out where I'm gonna come up with the next $12,000 to get the original air-conditioning unit that I had in my home prior again because this unit is trash!!! Morale of the story, is that I wouldn't recommend Bob's air-conditioning or unit along with their materials that they're selling as in top-of-the-line product because it didn't last a year! Stay away from the train if you don't have money to buy an air-conditioning unit or fix your air-conditioning unit yearly! Lennox is the unit that I had prior that I will buy again even with this unit working still. To be honest I really don't even want it anymore so good luck with finding a good air-conditioning guy company that is gonna honor a one year warranty because I was told that to one year warranty was that the unit had to fail for the warranty to kick for labor and I'm past my 90 install so in so many words. Unfortunately we got ripped off by Kayo energy with our solar panels who did a terribly poor job installing our solar panels and wirings and they went bankrupt and we were left f*cked without any warranty. Went with bob due to their reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Our solar stopped connecting due to burnt and damaged wires from a poor install from Kayo. Called up Bob for a service call to diagnose and the price was decent probably somewhere in the middle from the other quotes I received. Not cheap but not too expensive either. After the service call I scheduled for the next week for the repair and I wasn't disappointed. I wanted the repair to be done correctly and they did just that. So after having such a great experience with Bob's on our Solar System, we asked them to inspect and winterize our furnace. They found some defective workmanship from when the house was built five years ago (a leaky duct that was spewing heat into the attic), identified some maintenance issues that the previous company we were using failed to perform and also suggested increasing our attic insulation while we could still take advantage of the tax credit. Well the verdict is in. This was our first full month since the repair and added insulation, and we saved almost 50% on our gas bill! Better than we anticipated. At that rate we will break even in five years -- maybe less. We have also used Bob's for our dryer duct cleaning. And speaking of our solar system, when the system stopped reporting through the app, I called Bob's and they came out free of charge the next day! As it turned out, the manufacturer had a software update and they needed to reboot our inverters reporting system. It was never a problem from a production point of view, but Bob's cared about our peace of mind and took care of it immediately. Bob's is a class act. They are always timely, responsive, professional and above all honest. They truly care about us as a customer. Something so rare in this day of shoddy workmanship and lackluster customer service. My water heater was leaking internally so I called Bob's repair and asked for an estimate to replace it. I gave them all the information on my water heater but they said they would need to inspect it first and scheduled a visit with me for a few hours later. Throughout the process they were very responsive and professional, but unfortunately also very expensive and I ended up declining their services as it was more than 25% higher than other competitors. The company that did the installation for me did a great job and installed a top brand water heater so I simply don't see the reason to charge the prices they do. Our HVAC system completely died in 2024. We were using AC window units and floor heaters, because we did not think we could afford a new system...until Bob's! One of our two furnaces had broken down late last year. I looked at Yelp reviews and determined Bob's Repair would be a good company to try. I called them and had a very nice lady help me schedule an appointment. Kyle showed up on time and immediately was friendly and outgoing. We have a Shih Tzu, Baxter, who loves when people come in our house. Kyle handled Baxter's greeting him very well. It was obvious Kyle was a very nice guy. Of course, being a nice person does not mean you are good at fixing things. In Kyle's case, he was. We had a gas valve that needed to be replaced. Kyle ordered the part and was back in a couple of days to replace it. Everything was fine for a couple of days and then the unit stopped working. I called Bob's, which thankfully opens at 6:00 am! The lady on the phone, I forgot her name, said she would get Kyle out to us ASAP. Kyle did a through check on our system and said the new gas valve was faulty. He ordered a replacement part and asked if we would like to borrow a portable electric heater, a super-nice gesture. A couple of days later, Kyle came back to install the new gas valve. Bob's uses a neat system that showed us where Kyle was and exactly how long it would take to get to our home. Kyle was running a little late for our appointment, but we received a phone call from their office saying when he would be at our house. That is the way businesses should operate, but unfortunately, they all don't. What was odd was that while we were waiting for the new gas valve, our heater started working fine. I told Kyle that, but he felt he should still put the new gas valve in to replace the faulty one. Again, a very good business practice. They also give a 3-year warranty on the gas valve. With all of Kyle's visits to our house, Baxter got to know him well, as did we. He's a fun guy to talk with and somebody you definitely want to work on your house. read more
