I tried to post this review on Google, and to respond directly to Bob's before posting a review but they don't have an easy way to give them feedback. They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USE THIS COMPANY NOR THE PRODUCT THEY SAYS IS A TOP OF THE GRADE EQUIPMENT NAMED "Train"unless you have $12,000 to to $15,000 to flush down the drain yearly! Save yourself the money time and headache!!! I spent $12,000 cash for what is supposed to be top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit which is called the train. I wish I would've just stuck with the Lennox and whatever else extra I had to get to get the same air-conditioning unit that I've had in my house for 23 years without a problem! The 24th year of me living in my house, my air conditioner takes a dump and I call Bob's air conditioning and heating. Not even one year later after they install the train that's supposed to be a top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit with a price tag of $12,000 cash ( $15,000 if you had to finance through them ) that was spent. The coil wall is separating in a vertical line in multiple places, seven places to be exact! The separating is wide enough that you could almost stick your hand through each separation point of the coil. I communicated this to Bob's air-conditioning. They sent a tech out. The tech said that somebody may be have opened up the unit and got in there and separated it as if. Someone had some type of benefit to open up the air-conditioning unit panels take off the top of the roof and everything else what he had to do to access the unit and his so called professional diagnostic conclusion is that. Somebody probably did this to sabotage the unit in so many words. I finally get a call from whoever Frederick is at Bob's AC unit air-conditioning and the conversation didn't go so professionally. Voices was raised as if I'm the bad guy, unprofessional tone, unprofessional delivery, unprofessional comments on him, saying he'll be letting the manufacturer know that he had a customer that was complaining about a coil, which I stopped him in his tracks and let him know when you write that make sure you put a paying customer that paid $12,000 cash in your message of the complaining customer. I was told that he's looking at brand new units that has the same issue right in front of him this separation on multiple different units. I immediately told him you shouldn't be putting your name on that unit if the manufacturer is starting out with that kind of a product and have issues with it. He advised me that this is a top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit which I beg to differ cause it ain't even last a year without me having any issues but it's supposed to be the top-of-the-line air-conditioning unit for $12,000 and not even a year later, separation in a coils in a vertical line that is beyond deterioration and I'm pretty sure it's gonna get worse rapidly. So now I'm just AOL of $12,000 because it's not not working and it's past 90 days I was told. So I guess I need to figure out where I'm gonna come up with the next $12,000 to get the original air-conditioning unit that I had in my home prior again because this unit is trash!!! Morale of the story, is that I wouldn't recommend Bob's air-conditioning or unit along with their materials that they're selling as in top-of-the-line product because it didn't last a year! Stay away from the train if you don't have money to buy an air-conditioning unit or fix your air-conditioning unit yearly! Lennox is the unit that I had prior that I will buy again even with this unit working still. To be honest I really don't even want it anymore so good luck with finding a good air-conditioning guy company that is gonna honor a one year warranty because I was told that to one year warranty was that the unit had to fail for the warranty to kick for labor and I'm past my 90 install so in so many words. Had both of our HVAC units serviced to include the blower wheel that was coated with debris and also had them clean each air duct. Our technician was Edgar and he did a superb job! Unfortunately we got ripped off by Kayo energy with our solar panels who did a terribly poor job installing our solar panels and wirings and they went bankrupt and we were left f*cked without any warranty. Went with bob due to their reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Our solar stopped connecting due to burnt and damaged wires from a poor install from Kayo. Called up Bob for a service call to diagnose and the price was decent probably somewhere in the middle from the other quotes I received. Not cheap but not too expensive either. After the service call I scheduled for the next week for the repair and I wasn't disappointed. I wanted the repair to be done correctly and they did just that. Plus they have a 5 year warranty on parts and 10 on labor! Will definitely go with them again for any of my solar needs and hvac issues in the future! read more

So after having such a great experience with Bob's on our Solar System, we asked them to inspect and winterize our furnace. They found some defective workmanship from when the house was built five years ago (a leaky duct that was spewing heat into the attic), identified some maintenance issues that the previous company we were using failed to perform and also suggested increasing our attic insulation while we could still take advantage of the tax credit. Well the verdict is in. This was our first full month since the repair and added insulation, and we saved almost 50% on our gas bill! Better than we anticipated. At that rate we will break even in five years -- maybe less. We have also used Bob's for our dryer duct cleaning. And speaking of our solar system, when the system stopped reporting through the app, I called Bob's and they came out free of charge the next day! As it turned out, the manufacturer had a software update and they needed to reboot our inverters reporting system. It was never a problem from a production point of view, but Bob's cared about our peace of mind and took care of it immediately. Bob's is a class act. They are always timely, responsive, professional and above all honest. They truly care about us as a customer. Something so rare in this day of shoddy workmanship and lackluster customer service. We needed a duct cleaning and extra insulation added to our home. Bob's gave us multiple quotes and talked us through our options. When we were ready to book, they had us in the next day! The employees were so friendly but I need to give extra kudos to our duct cleaning crew. Our 7 year old had a million questions and they kindly entertained him by answering. I know no one wants a kid asking them questions while they work, but these two guys just laughed it off and took our kid's questions seriously. Of course the air conditioning went out in the height of the summer after 10+ years of service from my previous system, I couldn't complain too much. So we start calling around and start the internet research. Enter Bobs! They offered a great product, decent price and a great warranty and service plan. They came and completed the install in great time and sent over all the information and paperwork for the unit promptly. The customer service was great; Had a decent experience from the estimate, to install to post install. They were not the cheapest option but they had some of the better units and also had some of the best reviews on all platforms. The thing that i liked a lot more was that they had an extended warranty with a continued service plan. I have had some pretty sketchy experiences with other companies and so far a year in , the encounters i have had have been okay. The staff communicate well and have always been pleasant so far. Sometimes with some services it's not always about the price but about a good install, good customer service and doing A good job. A cheap price with a bad install, bad customer service and a bad job will be your worst nightmare for a long time. I can say I recommend this company and I am writing this a year in just to make sure i am leading you in the right direction and giving a thorough opinion. Live & Love. Bob's installed an AC unit for us when our AC went out a couple of summers ago. It was a good experience. Fast, easy and not the most expensive. So when we decided to install a minisplit in our office, Bob's was our fist thought. Sadly, this experience has been quite different. The installation was completed in May with poorly cut conduit. My husband called multiple time and left messages for someone to reach back out to us to get the conduit recut but no one ever called us back so we just let it go. But, when a leak started recently, we had to call again. They had someone come out the same day to look at the leak - sadly, this was not well done. The tech was here for 4 hours, had to run to Lowe's to get parts and during his time at the house, we could hear his frustration through swearing and groans. While he was here, he fixed the leak but caused a power issue with the minisplit which then required him to call someone to get help on how to fix it. After the 4 hours, it was all fixed (though the space was left slightly messy). A day later, the pump sounded like it was continuously running, even when powered off so we called to have them come out again. When the new tech arrived, he immediately pointed out that the previous work was done poorly (float switch was at an angle) and shouldn't have been left the way it was. The new fix was to move the conduit since the hoses that were installed to fix the leak were too long. They moved the conduit which left a small hole in our ceiling but they guaranteed us that someone would be coming out to fix the drywall. Now, seven days later, we've been dealing with an extremely inefficient minisplit - it shuts off due to draining issues after 5 minutes and when it can actually run longer than that, it takes forever to cool. Also, we never got a call back about the drywall fix so we still have a hole in our ceiling. Would not recommend Bob's to family or friends after this experience. read more

Called bobs ac repair. ac blower motor not working. I wait for several hours, and a young inexperienced guy shows up, looks at ac system. Says system is old, and he does not feel comfortable working on it, because he might break other things. wont replace the blower motor. simple fix. then proceeds to try and sell me a new ac unit for 14,000 dollars. when you need a real technician to fix youre ac system, you cant count on bobs to get the job done. You can count on them trying to sell you a new system. absolutely worthless!! Can you imagine if every time you took youre car to a mechanic, and they wont work on it, because they feel it is too old? Then try to con you into buying a new car? Stupid. just stupid. read more

Our HVAC system completely died in 2024. We were using AC window units and floor heaters, because we did not think we could afford a new system...until Bob's! I used co-pilot to get the top 10 rated HVAC companies in the Vegas Valley and Bob's was ranked #1. I called and spoke to Alexis, who was so warm & patient, getting us scheduled with Adan the next day for a quote. Adan was SO incredibly through & HONEST. After looking over what we needed he gave us a quote that was literally half what we expected *including a year of service as well!! We were able to finance through a partnership that Bob's has with Wells Fargo, for only $155 a month with great rates! We were scheduled the following Monday for installation. The installation team of Francis, Darwin & Jathan showed up on time and went straight to work. Our home was built in 1962 and has old funky everything honestly. I had a real concern about the new equipment fitting without a ton of expensive retrofitting. Well, the entire job was completely done within 6 hours and without a single hitch! Francis did an amazing job, magically fitting the new Trane Air Handler, where the old one was, with literally inches to spare! Jathan was able to also fit our new water heater into the small, tiny outbuilding miraculously as well! Darwin did such a meticulous job getting the HVAC unit installed outside perfectly with all the lines placed neatly and wrapped for UV protection! I was overjoyed to see the new circuit breakers for both the water heater and HVAC unit as well! Everything was done at such a Professional level, I was truly blown away! These Guys absolutely know what there are doing and were extremely polite, efficient & hard working. They cleaned up after themselves and left things literally cleaner than when they began! One of our two furnaces had broken down late last year. I looked at Yelp reviews and determined Bob's Repair would be a good company to try. I called them and had a very nice lady help me schedule an appointment. Kyle showed up on time and immediately was friendly and outgoing. We have a Shih Tzu, Baxter, who loves when people come in our house. Kyle handled Baxter's greeting him very well. It was obvious Kyle was a very nice guy. Of course, being a nice person does not mean you are good at fixing things. In Kyle's case, he was. We had a gas valve that needed to be replaced. Kyle ordered the part and was back in a couple of days to replace it. Everything was fine for a couple of days and then the unit stopped working. I called Bob's, which thankfully opens at 6:00 am! The lady on the phone, I forgot her name, said she would get Kyle out to us ASAP. Kyle did a through check on our system and said the new gas valve was faulty. He ordered a replacement part and asked if we would like to borrow a portable electric heater, a super-nice gesture. A couple of days later, Kyle came back to install the new gas valve. Bob's uses a neat system that showed us where Kyle was and exactly how long it would take to get to our home. Kyle was running a little late for our appointment, but we received a phone call from their office saying when he would be at our house. That is the way businesses should operate, but unfortunately, they all don't. What was odd was that while we were waiting for the new gas valve, our heater started working fine. I told Kyle that, but he felt he should still put the new gas valve in to replace the faulty one. Again, a very good business practice. They also give a 3-year warranty on the gas valve. With all of Kyle's visits to our house, Baxter got to know him well, as did we. He's a fun guy to talk with and somebody you definitely want to work on your house. read more

I came home to a very hot house, 86*. One of the AC units had pooped out. I went online to try to figure out what could be wrong and I did try some recommended troubleshooting. Didn't work, so I turned it off. Another large company installed it, but they were unprofessional and incomplete. I'm so happy that I called Bob's Repair. At nearly 7pm they sent Kyle out. He inspected everything and he was very professional and friendly. Apparently, the unit being off for a bit, may have solved the issue because it passed Kyle's tests.
