Title: Customer-Focused, Knowledgeable, and Truly Committed - Sol-Up Delivers!…read moreAfter an exhausting experience with a nationwide solar provider--quickly realizing they were simply too big to care--I decided to move three rooftop solar projects to Sol-Up. From my initial email inquiry and the Sol-Up team's immediate follow-up, I knew I had made the right choice. I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. You will not be disappointed.

I originally left a negative review because of my experience with Destiny Garcia in the sales…read moredepartment. My concern was never with Sol-Up as a company it was with how I felt I was treated during our interactions. After deciding not to move forward with the project, I experienced what I believe was unprofessional conduct. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, I felt my request was not appropriately escalated. Following that, I believe I was subjected to repeated unwanted phone calls and what I perceived as retaliatory behavior, including a negative BBB review directed at my business. I was also concerned that information I had provided during the sales process was used in a way that made me uncomfortable. As someone who was attempting to extend a project worth more than $30,000 for a client, professionalism and trust were extremely important to me. A customer should be able to decide not to do business with a company without worrying about retaliation, harassment, or having their information mishandled. I have since updated my rating because I reached out directly to Sol-Up's COO, who responded promptly and professionally. I truly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns, and his response demonstrated the level of customer service I had hoped to receive from the beginning. This review is not intended to discourage others from doing business with Sol-Up. Rather, I sincerely hope the company addresses situations like this through additional training and oversight. My experience raised concerns about how customer information is handled and how complaints are managed. If I felt uncomfortable after sharing only basic contact information, it naturally made me wonder how other sensitive information, such as a home address or financial details, would be safeguarded. I genuinely wish Sol-Up and its leadership the best, and I hope future customers receive the professional, respectful experience they deserve.

They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

This is one of those reviews where (if possible), I'd give Robco Electric more than five stars on…read moretheir Solar installation / service. We did a lot of research before we pulled the trigger on Solar. We did a deep dive on leasing versus purchasing, equipment differences and post installation service. We had actually contracted with a different firm, but after we found out the sales rep misrepresented the equipment they were going to install - we cancelled. After that, we reached-out to two other companies - one of which was Robco. After comparing all of the metrics as well as the reviews, we ended up purchasing a system from Robco. From the presentation and design with Jorge, through the approval process with our HOA, to obtaining permits, they were on top of it all. We initially met with Jorge on May 12th. All approvals were obtained and Mike and his installation crew showed up on May 26th. These guys actually showed up early and worked like a well greased machine. The job was completed by mid afternoon, including the painting of conduit and solar emergency shut-off to match the stucco on my home. They even left me with extra roof tiles in case we needed them in the future. After the installation, the building inspector scheduled time to come by and sign-off on the permit. Of course, there were no problems there. The funny thing was that I can be a bit chatty and in talking to the inspector, he stated in summary that if he were were going to put solar on his personal home - or needed an electrical repair, Robco is the one company he would call. I thought that was quite an endorsement. That last installation piece was for NV Energy to come out and replace the meter with one that can export unused solar energy back out to the grid; that was done on June 18th. From start to finish, Jorge, Mike and all of the guys at Robco exceeded our expectations. We would wholeheartedly recommend them for your Solar (or electrical repair) needs.

The 6.8 KW (peak) solar system that these folks installed for me really rocks! So if you are…read moreplanning to install a solar system, look no further and hire this company. I say this because I did my homework right and had obtained over six estimates, and this company beat all the other five not only on price and quality, but also on other (rather important) things as you can see below. 1. Price: This company beat all the others by nearly 20%, and all the other five estimates came very close to one another to the point where I was suspecting that there is some sort of illegal "price fixing" that is rampant industry-wide, but not for this company since it came far away (and below) all the others. 2. Equipment Quality: The system they installed was the most advanced compared to all the other bids. It used higher-end Panasonic panels, and Enphase micro-inverters and combiner. Others bid for lesser-quality no-name panels with one string inverter and a set of optimizers. After much research, I think a micro-inverter based system is superior to the string-inverter based system (so don't listen to the confusing information you find on the web, which portrays the two types of systems as being "equivalent"). So with a total of just 20 panels, my projected annual solar energy production should be about one and a half times my consumption. This should bring down my PG&E bill to the minimum $10/month, and should be able to provide all the electric energy needed for an extra electric car I may purchase in the future. 3. System design: This company had the most precise and realistic design, and that is very important because some of the bids I received were not realistic as they sketched more panels on my South-facing side of the roof than that side could possibly fit. This inflates the projected energy production, but is NOT realistic. In my case, the optimal design was to use the Southern-facing and Eastern-facing sides of the roof and to arrange the panels 50/50 on both sides. This company nailed the design right, but other bids like I said was either plain wrong, or were not realistic. With this design I was able to get a peak production of 6.2 KW, which is close to the theoretical 6.8 KW peak (the difference being mostly due to the orientation of my house). 4. Consumption and Net Monitoring: Most contractors let you monitor ONLY the energy production of your solar system, but this company gave me the ability to monitor the CONSUMPTION of energy by my house and the net energy exchanged between me and utility company on an instantaneous basis (actually every 15 minutes) and on the same Enlighten App as shown in the picture. This is really useful if you would like to do any energy planning in your house to see who/what is really consuming electricity. Granted that you can see the consumption on your utility website, but that data is one or two days delayed and does not show up in the same view as the production, and these two problems make the data from the utility company useless for that purpose. 5. Other: All the folks of the company I have dealt with are ethical in their dealing and are reasonable. The company installed the system in two days, which is very quick. Getting the consumption monitoring to work correctly took a while longer though.

My solar system was installed by LA Solar Group over 6 years ago, so I thought it would be nice to…read moreprovide new customers with a look ahead after investing in a costly project. My 7.54kW system used 29 - 260W LG panels split into 2 arrays and utilized both M215 and M250 Enphase microinverters. The reason I wanted to try 2 different microinverters was to compare the performance. In the end, it really didn't matter much. Bottom line, shading and weather were the dominate factors in power generation and all the crazy details I looked at were in the noise. It was still fun at the time. So 6+ years after having this system installed on my roof, I have had ZERO problems (kudos to LA Solar Group and the quality of the hardware). My system has produced over 72 MegaWatt-Hours of power and each and every solar panel and microinverter has reported data (input voltage/current, output voltgae/frequency, and power) from day one over that period of time. This telemetry allows me to see exactly what's going on in my system and if any one of the 29 panel/microinverters acts up, I will know. My system has already paid for itself based on my calculations, so I am a very happy customer. In addition, when I have questions for the LA Solar team, I still get answers. Highly recommended. With the cost of solar dropping in price over the years, it's really a no-brainer.

His system was up fast without any issues and a great price. I was so impressed that Instead of even bothering to haggle, I accepted their first offer. It was going to provide more power at about half the cost of my estimates from years back. I was setup with an install around June 12th and told the system would be up and running end of July to beginning of August. There were delays (things like this happen, I get it) and 2 failed inspections from the city. There were lots of times with no communication or responses whereas other times responses were fast and on point. The system was not on until October 5th. I physically turned it on myself after messaging straightline and advising the city had just finished. Im guessing they were aware as they responded pretty fast. My negatives from this was the missed solar generation time, slow communication, and I also do not seem to be generating as much as we use. I also had to use Google to figure out how to setup my solar monitoring and which apps I needed. Anyway, I assume they are a young company to vegas. They said altogether it would cost around $20,000 and that we would have zero payments for the first 2 years interest-free. So he got my sister to go with them for solar as well. We got our solar panels installed first, before my sister, but my sisters system was up and running weeks before ours. What was the issue, you may ask, I don't even know. Now for the real problems. (Full disclosure: My dad didn't read the contract before signing, so we take some responsibility for what followed, but they still lied to us.) They said it would cost around $20,000. I got a notification a few months after getting the solar up and running that I had a loan for about $53,000! I looked into it and it was for the solar! We contacted them and they said the system cost $53,000 but that with the solar tax credit we would get 30% back when filing for out taxes. They said word for word that we would get a check for $15,000 when filing and claiming the tax credit. But $53,000 minus $15,000 is $38,000 which is $18,000 more than they said it would be. When asked about it, they said they upgraded the system, which is why it was more expensive, but they never discussed an upgrade with my dad. Cut forward to me and my sister trying to file our taxes and surprise surprise, I don't get the $15,000 for the solar because it is a credit, not a refund and nor does she. You can only be credited for the taxes you paid but can't get reimbursed for any more than that. We call them up and they say they will try and help us figure it out. Rhe guy that told me I would get a check then changes his story and says that sometimes if you don't owe enough taxes it will carryover for the next year, but that is noylt what he told me originally. They then proceed to give us the run around and then say it's illegal for them to give tax advice. He then says he isn't an accountant but other customers he's had that had multiple people living on the property have been added to the contract so they can claim the credit too. (This sounds illegal because if only one parent can claim a child then why can multiple claim a solar tax credit but whatever.) At this point my sister calls him out for not knowing what he is doing, to which I proceed to say he does know what he's doing which is scamming and lying to people to get money. Also they originally pitched 2 years no payments but 1 year after installation I got a statement saying payments would be starting. When I called them to ask, he said that originally it was 2 years, but because of the upgrade(that we weren't aware of) it changed back to 1. WHAT? How does that make sense and why didn't they tell us beforehand? Long story short, DO NOT GO WITH THESE PEOPLE! They are liars. They change their stories and give you the run around.
