I asked three people yesterday, all wearing Ace shirts, if they worked there and they all replied, "No." So you are wearing that shirt as a fashion statement? I finally got to the cashier, Michael at the front desk, and he was great. This morning I went in needing another gasket and hoping to get some advice on silicone adhesives. It was early and no one was there except the two cashiers, fittingly dressed for Halloween as Tweetle Dee and Tweetle Dumm. When I asked if there was a silicone alternative, the reply was, "I don't know, I am the cashier not a plumber." I responded, "Used to when the old team was here there was always somebody knowledgable." This elicited a comment about "Princeton entitlement" and how she hates Princeton. I haven't had customer service like that since 1988 in the Soviet Union. And did I mention the music? If you like rock 'n roll at full volume, this place is for you. Me, I am headed to Lowe's.

I was driving home and remembered Ace Hardware, I called and they said they did the kind of key that I needed. I drove to the store, and was greatly assisted by Joanne, who had key experience to get 2 extra keys in a short time and at a very fair price. I will remember Costello's Ace HW again when I need help with tools, parts and services.

The old owners and staff were always in the stacks and ready to help. I tried to return an empty ACE small propane tank for reuse or recycling and they refused to take it. When I asked her what I should do with it she literally said "not my problem". They keep pushing you to use the app but they can't figure out in 2024 how to provide guest WiFi so you can actually access and use the app. I prefer to shop local but when customer service is your only differentiator in a commodity business, they will suffer for not providing it.

Well, our gazebo was delivered, built and completed by Merv and his crew. We had a small issue and without any backpedaling, doubletalk or empty promises, we were given a return date and all was done to our satisfaction. Never even knew Barton was here but I'm glad I found it, instead of waiting a week for Home Depot to ship the part, I got it that day and could continue with my bathroom renovation. Just make sure you walk in the front door past the gate, I walked into the loading dock by accident! Employees are very helpful though, and helped me find my way to the register and find exactly what I needed.

(Don't worry I'll be upgrading soon enough) I've replaced a battery before successfully on another phone but After digging into all the options I find buying batteries off Amazon or eBay is a crapshoot at best. There's more truth in "if it's too good to be true it probably isn't" than in any of the hype and advertising for all the aftermarket batteries. Next I could take it to the Genius Bar but I'd be detached from my Apple crack 3-5 days too long. Now I'm speculating that might cost me $70 min there, so I opted to splurge another $30 to have it done while waiting. If it was only $70 I would have given them 5 stars but even at that premium cost I'm still pleased by the professionalism and speed of service. While we were told it would take an hour, I left them with my wife's number to call or text if it's done sooner. So we had sushi three stores down and just as we were paying the bill we got the call right around 30 minutes; which is kinda what I was expecting/hoping for, So the battery comes with a 6 month service warranty and while I have no expectation it will last as long as the original battery if I get a year or two more maybe that should be fine..... if not I'll be sure to update this review.
