I can't say enough good things about this preschool. From day one, the Ms Nichole, Ms Crystal, Ms April and their newest teacher Ms Vanessa have given my twins so much love, patience, and care, it feels like an extension of our family. I've watched my kids blossom here in ways that truly amaze me. They go above and beyond, from serving healthy snacks and lunch to helping both of my twins through potty training (which was such a blessing!). The small class size with three teachers makes such a difference, every child is truly seen, heard, and nurtured. One of my favorite parts is getting photos and videos throughout the day. It makes me feel connected and reassured, and I love being able to see the joy on my kids' faces while they learn and play. This school has been such a gift for our family, and I'm beyond grateful for the incredible care and love they give every single day. We couldn't be more grateful for the love and care our daughter has received at TLLC. From the moment she started, it's been clear that this is more than just a preschool, it's a nurturing, supportive community that truly sees and celebrates each child for who they are. Our daughter has grown so much emotionally and developmentally since attending, and we credit so much of that to the warm, intentional environment the staff has created. She was incredibly shy and the first couple weeks were tough getting her used to the drop offs (she had been solely at home with me for the first 2.5 years of her life) but Ms Nichole was so patient and helped us slowly ease into everything and met my daughter where she was at. Now my daughter gets excited to go to school! Ms Nichole and Ms April and Ms Crystal go above and beyond not only to support the children, but to make families feel welcomed and cared for as well. We absolutely LOVE TLLC! Ms. Nicole is amazing. We signed our son up in September 2024 wanting more for him than he previously had. He's been growing and thriving so much since. He's able to recognize letters, especially those in his name and even tells us how to write the letters. He's counting, he still gets a bit confused, however, he's counting forward and not all over the place. He loves going to school. His favorite part of his day is playing outside and lunch time. We would definitely recommend anyone with a preschooler to stop by and give TLLC a chance. I love this preschool, Miss Nichole really cares about her kids, she recommended that I take my son to speech therapy and that, along with his preschool classes he's opened a lot more socially and intellectually. He's now extended his vocabulary by a lot. Miss Carolyn and Miss Crystal are also amazing teachers who are really attentive to each child's individual needs. They really nurture their creativity with fun group projects. I'm so glad I was blessed enough to run into this place. We put our daughter Mayzie here and she absolutely loved it. Miss Nichole is so patient and kind. Mayzie went from barely talking to full sentences in two months. We started sending our son here when he turned 2.5 years old. Ms Nichole has been amazing with him since day 1. He cried the first two weeks when he would go but Ms Nichole was very caring and patient with him and now he has no problem. She was also very assuring towards us because that was hard to see him cry in the beginning. We trust her and am so glad we stuck with it! He is so excited every time we pick him up from school and it has been so fun to see how much he has learned. On top of that he is a very shy boy and used to not want to play with other kids at the park, but now when we pick him up he tells us all about his friends at school :) And a big bonus is that she sends you pictures during their time at school so you can see how they are doing! We put our daughter in this preschool since she was 2.5 years old. I felt that she was ready to be in a classroom setting, learn some social skills, learn while she plays and interact with other children. We said we'll start with 2 days a week and eventually move her to full time at 5 days a week if all goes well. After a month, she came home with a certificate for student of the month. My husband was so proud and so happy, he wanted to keep seeing updates like this. She was coming home with certificates for little things she's doing right and little toys she gets to pick from the chest for being good. During that time, I asked Ms. Nichole to keep me updated either by email or in person when I go and pick my daughter up. She would try her best at first, sometimes forgetting, other times I'd get random photos of my daughter, which would cheer me up. Then came potty training time, it says on their website that they help with potty training, but if anything, they only reverted her several times. Every time I would potty train my daughter and convince her she doesn't need diapers and we do well, her teacher puts her in Pull-Ups once she's at school. She asked me to put it in my daughter's backpack and I did it for awhile but then I learned that my daughter would use it as a crutch and not want to take it off once she gets home. She would end up having accidents because she was confusing her undies for her pull-ups. This went on for months and she even had accidents a few times at school because her teachers have confused her on whether or not she's in pull-ups or undies. Finally, I stopped packing pull-ups and told my daughter that she doesn't need it. We were on vacation for 3 weeks and told my daughter she didn't need the pull ups. She went back to school not relying on that anymore. Then paychecks, I put a check in my daughter's backpack for Ms. Nichole every week, whenever I can, sometimes I forget, other times she forgets to take it out, but on the days that I forget to put it in, I'd hear from her immediately by email about no check in the backpack. Yet, when I request for updates about my daughter, I get no information from her by email. Very quick to email me about not getting paid, but not quick enough to tell me about my daughter's progress. The weird thing is, she doesn't always cash those checks right away, it'd sometimes take weeks for her to cash them and she cashes them all at once, so why email me so quickly about it if you're going to take your time cashing them!!?! Ms. Nichole has mentioned to me that their prices went up but she kept the prices the same for us because of my job situation. It makes me wonder as to whether that has something to do with how she's nonchalant about my daughter and her time there. When my husband wasn't impressed with the school and wanted to pull her out, Ms. Nichole convinced me that I was doing the right thing keeping her in, which I knew i wanted my daughter to stay in preschool anyway. He did however, refuse to make my daughter full time there because he said he wasn't impressed. Out of the year and a half we've been there, our daughter has gotten only two progress reports. Not much else. Lastly, my daughter comes home with just some stuff she colored and not much else. You don't get a sense of what they're doing in school. There are times when our daughter has to make up a class on a Thursday and that's tae kwon do day, so it's $7 extra. However, my daughter would sometimes come home and tell me that she didn't do tae kwon do because they put her in time out. None of this is relayed to me and I paid extra for nothing. If my daughter is behaving, I want to know, if she's misbehaving, I want to know. I know Ms. Nichole has checked out a long time ago with us, she seems irritated with me when I drop my daughter off, very short with me, doesn't say much to me, and didn't include me on an Easter party, until I heard one of the other teachers saying "see you tomorrow for the party" and I asked her "what party?" Ms. Nichole apologized, but I don't doubt it that she didn't want my daughter there. My daughter hasn't received certificates or any awards in months, yet I see these posts of other kids receiving them back to back to back. When my husband found a new preschool for our daughter, I finally agreed with him. I told him that we'll have our other child attend this preschool and my husband immediately said NO! Today, I got an email from Ms. Nichole saying she doesn't have a spot for our daughter for the next day, WHEN I told her that her last day was last week. On her last day, our daughter didn't get a good-bye party, no "we'll miss you" or anything. It was just "see you later" and so, here I am writing this review. I want to be detailed and honest as much as possible because at the end of the day, our children's time matters and how they spend it learning matters. I'm probably going to get an email with a rebuttal or some sort. read more

My son has been going to TLLC since May 2012 and we absolutely love it here. When he first started he would cry and hold onto my leg when I was dropping him off. The teachers were always amazing in comforting him. If he was having a particularly hard time with me leaving the teachers would call me a little bit after I left to let me know that he was ok. So, as a mom it made me feel better leaving him. My son has also excelled in many things since starting TLLC. He has learned Spanish, sign language, numbers, letters, shapes, and sounds. I am a very happy parent who's child attended TLLC. My daughter (first born) absolutely loved going to school here. As parents we were very leery about where we were going to have our daughter attend so we did as much research as we could to include hours on social media sites. We wanted a place where we could trust the staff and a place where that wasn't solely based on playtime. We wanted to give our 2 1/2 year old a head start on academics while building her social skills with other children. Both my husband and I are very happy we came across TLLC. We enrolled our daughter and loved the program. My daughter came home with projects and work that she had done EVERY time she had class. We really liked that because we knew she was learning and it wasn't just playtime. The teacher to kid ratio is also much better than larger schools. My favorite thing about the program as well was that Ms. Nichole would send us picture messages with what our daughter was doing in class. Seeing the candid pictures capture her smile really helped ease any sense of worry. I knew she was in good hands. Our daughter loved to go to school here. For a child who is not a morning person, all I had to say is, "Do you want to go to school?" She would get up in her own and be very excited to go to school. The program is very engaging as well. The kids have an opportunity to have visitors like the fire department, or a puppet show from a local dental office. One of my daughter's favorite things this year was when her class learned about ladybugs. The class has a small garden and this year they grew ladybugs and set them free in the garden. My daughters hands on work in that garden had her coming home and wanting to work on ours. Lol. She was so obsessed she would go out and bring back rollie pollies. We eventually had to buy her a rollie pollie habitat just like the ladybug one her class had. She absolutely loved it. We really loved TLLC. We recommend it to family and friends. If you're looking for a place where your child will grow while still having fun, I urge you to give this place a try. My son Jacob attends this preschool now. He attended another preschool from August of 2011 to March 2012 and we decided to make the switch to TLLC. My husband and I could not be more pleased with the education, love and support he receives. The staff is so gentle and kind and the educational program taught there is AMAZING. In just three weeks (6 times attending) he learned to write his name, recognize his numbers, identify the names of his fingers, his phone number, dial 911, identify the various letter of the alphabet, etc...the list goes on. I just can't say enough great things about this preschool. As soon as I meet Miss Nichole, I felt at ease about enrolling my four yr old in preschool and I knew I was making the right choice. My son started preschool not liking to color or draw, not liking to do crafts, not being able to write anything. He now enjoys all those things. He loves telling us about his day and showing off his projects. He has become better at listening and has learned so much. He has learned so many Spanish words and sign language. He has learned to write his first and last name and has memorized our phone numbers in case he ever gets lost and needs to tell someone how to reach us. He has learned what is proper behavior for the classroom. He love his teachers. They are great with the kids and do a great job. The staff is always helpful and willing to answer any questions or concerns. Communication is always good. I know I will receive a prompt response when I send Miss Nichole an email. I only wish I had found this preschool sooner so that he could have been there longer. I am sad his time there is almost up as he is about to start kinder in next month. My son was going to Tender Loving Learning center. he really liked going there. The only reason he stopped going was because we were moving out of state. I have been nothing but happy with this place. My son has learned so much and even his behavior Improved. Miss Nichole would keep me updated on my sons day every time I would pick him up. . We would definitely recommend TLLC as a child care provider. My daughter started at Tender Loving Learning Center the summer of 2016. I have been extremely pleased with our experience! My son attended TLLC for 2.5 years and we were extremely satisfied with his preschool experience. What I valued most about TLLC is the small classroom size, the communication from Ms. Nichole and the progress reports. After a very short period of time it was evident that our son was learning. He is now able to write his own name, he learned the alphabet, his phone number and can count up to 30, among other things. We have absolutely no doubt that he will be well prepared to go into kindergarten. Our daughter has been attending Tender Love Learning Center for over a year now. She started when she just turned 3. We originally found Tender Love Learning Center here on Yelp and was also recommended by a friend. Over the past year our daughter has learned so much in all different aspects. From ABC's, recognizing the letter uppercase and lowercase, items starting with that letter. Numbers, recognizing the number and counting numbers out loud. Months of the year, days of the week, her phone number which now isn't just one with cell phones. She is able to count in Spanish and English, as well knowing other words in Spanish. She's also currently learning sign language. Everyday after school she comes home with different learning projects that were done throughout the day and is able to explain what she did and what is depicted on the artwork. Whether it's matching, tracing numbers, letters, shapes or her name. She is able to recognize her name, spell her name, as well as write her name to her best ability at her age. She is able to use scissors correctly and hold a pen or pencil and crayon properly. She looks forward to going to school the 3 days out of the week she's there. Ms. Carolyn and Ms. Nicole are very Hands-On with each student. They also have different events and/or professions coming in to share with the children such as firefighters, police officers, dentist,etc. They recognize the child's great work by giving them stamps on their hand and award certificates for great work or behavior. After so many stamps or stickers they are allowed in the treasure box. If the entire class has been good after so many jewels in the jewel jar they are allowed a pizza party. TLLC has been amazing!!! My son Adam has been attending this preschool for little over a year now and we love it!! The teachers are so wonderful with the kids, Miss Nicole is great and very accommodating to my work schedule as well as letting me drop Adam off earlier so I can get to work on time. When i moved here in 2005 it was hard to find a preschool that was as good as the Montessori that my daughter had been in. Luckily I did find TLLC and my daughter excelled there from 2 until kindergarden. She started Kindergarten knowing what she would be learning in the 3rd trimester which was an excellent way for her to adjust to elementary school. My son has also gone there from 2 until kindergarten and in 2 weeks will be starting kindergarten with the ability to write his name, count to 39 (not sure why 40 is tough :-) ), read 2 and 3 letter words, write the entire alphabet, do sign language and speak quite a few more spanish words than me. After months of dealing with bad daycares, or nannys i decided to give Tender Loving Care Preschool a call and see what they had to offer. From the first day on the phone with the owner i was in awww , she was the nicest person and really has a heart for these kids. I went in to tour the school and meet the owner and teaher to see if this was going to be a great fit for my daughter and i was litterly blown away ! From the min the children walk in they are in a class room settting. They are teaching my daugher, spanish, sign language, math , reading , writting , computer skills, growing gardens the list goes on . My daughter absolutly loves going to Tender Loving Preschool ! My only regret is not finding this place sooner ! My daughter can spell her name, phone # and also write both, count past 35 she is going to be no doubt ready for Kindergarden this coming Aug.
