First of all, to the woman declawing your cat, you deserved the judgement. What you did is completely inhuman. Shame on you. Train your cat, it's not that hard. Wow, I can't believe you tried to screw the most caring vet hospital in town over your abuse. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tender Touch. They make my pets feel like they are the most special fur kids in the world. The are thorough, responsible, they don't overcharge, they'll give pet exams on the floor to make my dogs more comfortable and I've been with them for years. For someone like me, trusting a vet to take care of my frenchie and mini whoodle is a big deal, and they have never disappointed me, I don't know what I'd do without them. We see Dr. Graf but the entire staff is amazing!

After taking our Tootsie Roll here for the past two years we simply cannot enough nice things about the staff and facilities. We use the health plan offered and it is an excellent way to maintain preventive care.

I made Tender Touch my new vet about 6 months ago based on the recommendation of yelpers. Thanks, guys! Luckily, none of my gatos has been sick until recently, but when they got sick, they got *really* sick. Sneezing, sniffling colds that lingered for months, and a more major problem with my oldest cat. When you fill out your first-timer paperwork, they clarify whether you're the type that wants to know the ins-and-outs of what's happening with your animal or if you just want a no-nonsense answer. The vets and vet techs are fantastic - sympathetic, encouraging, compassionate. Once in a while you can get some 'tude from the receptionists (this happened on my first visit and it was extremely off-putting, although my experiences since then have been positive.) And I adopted a new kitten from them in November, so I will always remember them for naming my kitty Jason Voorhees. My only word of caution is: be very clear and ask lots of questions about procedure pricing. Kit (shockingly, not named after Knight Rider) needed a few ultrasounds to get to the bottom of a health issue, and there seemed to be a lot of confusion (both times) about what my final cost would be. Another time, some tests didn't come back from CSU and they ended up crediting my account. Overall though, I highly recommend this place!

Take 1: Sam looks, Max doesn't. Take 2: Max looks, Sam doesn't. Take 3: Now we've got it!!!

So, this review is a first impression/experience only. Being new to Denver finding a doctor for my "children" is VERY important. With an upcoming trip I scoured Yelp to find a vet and landed on Tender Touch Animal Hospital. I must have called on a very busy day as I was disconnected (due to all of their lines being busy) about 5 times before I was successful. Fortunately, I was given an appointment for BOTH of my dogs together about a week and a half from my call. Day of - I loaded up the dogs and headed to the vet. Finding the place was easy and they have parking behind which is nice. The outside area with grass and poop station was nice and pretty well maintained. The young lady at the front desk was great. My dogs (especially my 6 year old Golden) get very excited and she seemed okay with Maxness! I asked when I made the appointment to get the paperwork ahead of time since I knew two big dogs and one me would be hard. The waiting area is clean and inviting with lots of hooks for leashes. The vet tech came out and assisted me with weighing the dogs and she seemed okay (even though I warned her) that my very strong Golden almost pulled her over. We were taken to the room and only in their maybe 5 minutes before the doctor came in. On first impression Dr. Thiessen was wonderful. She was so warm and patient with again..our Golden who thinks he deserves all the attention. She did a thorough exam of each of our dogs. We discussed a few things and she just seemed very willing to help and listen if she could. The best part for me was being able to pay in the room so that I wasn't having to wrestle two dogs in the waiting room. The lady at the front desk again was very pleasant on our way out. And the vet tech even offered to help me out with our dogs which I thought was kind. Fees: Pretty standard I would assume $62 each dog for a comprehensive exam (establish care) and roughly $60 ish for updated rabies and distemper I believe for one of our dogs. $204 or so total. I don't look forward to returning (who does) but do hopefully anticipate a repeat experience when that time comes.

This is the ONLY place I take my sweet pups. They are so very caring, and thorough. I trust them explicitly.

Do I need to give my dog heartworm treatment year around? Thank you.

Yes! Heart worm is transmitted through mosquito bites, so thigh mosquitoes are most prevalent in the summer months it is still possible for them to contract it in the winter. Heartworm is fatal if left untreated, and treatment is $1,000+, so not…

Standard with all adoptions from the DFL is a paid-for visit to a veterinarian.. they provided a list of clinics near me, GoodVets - GT was the closest. They got me in the next day. Monty & I arrived to the location, the staff was incredibly friendly & the good boy enjoyed several treats & pets from everyone. Unfortunately, the infection in his mouth was still present and I was told that he would need a couple of medications to finish it off as well as several vaccines. They provided several different options for Monty's vaccines at different price levels, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't have the funds at the time for the medications he needed for the infection in his mouth, let alone any of the vaccinations. I went home bummed out about the fact that I couldn't get Monty what he needed. I got a call later that day from GoodVets, and they had gotten in touch with the DFL, who provides a voucher that covers up to $250 for shelter related illnesses, so it paid for the cost of Montgomery's medications. Earlier this morning, I stopped in and grabbed the meds. Thank you, GoodVets - Golden Triangle for treating & ensuring that Montgomery, got the meds he needed. I genuinely appreciated that. Pros: Location, staff is A+, but the fact that they went through the extra effort to get Monty what he needed was what made me truly happy with the place. I made myself a reminder in my notes to give an honorable mention to Alex at the front desk, who was not only very nice but also incredibly helpful in regard to scheduling as well as any questions I had. A+ communication. I had also told myself that I would mention the Vet Tech who saw Monty, however her name alludes me now.

Well, it isn't up to me is it, because I'm not a vet, haven't studied animal health and have to be able to trust your recommendations. Which i clearly can't. Charlie's beagle instincts would lead him to eat junk off the ground so he regulary had to go to the vet. When Charlie had health issues, Nick would ask about how his buddy was doing (even on weekends and late hours) and reassure me that he would watch over him when they were together. First- 2 visits ago they had him listed as a 2 year old. He's been going there 3 years so it's not possible for him to age backwards. Plus they have his file scanned from his adoption showing his birthdate. I informed them he was 6. My most recent visit I see on his file that he is now 4. I crossed it out and changed it again back to 6. The reason this is serious to me is because they keep referencing his age when analyzing his conditions and saying blah blah "for such a young cat." But he's not 2. Or 4. He's 6. And his name also is not Oliver... I went in on a Monday and had bloodwork done. They were supposed to call the next day with results but didn't. And not the next day either. His vet had gotten sick and called out and it would've been under her specific file to call me, but given I had called inquiring I feel a different professional should've been able to at least convey the results to me more quickly. Finally, today I dropped him off at 7:45 for an ultrasound. I had been under the impression and told that it would occur between 9-12. I just called and the tech didn't even get there until after 11. Now he has to sit there for a bit longer and I had been counting down minutes to get his results. I loved this vet and I'm really sad about what's happening there. Not sure if the switched systems or something but normally they, and especially Kim, are super good at communicating and doing everything they can. Now I feel weird leaving him with them because they don't even know his name... age... when the doctor will be there...

In December, I was only given 20 and was told the remaining 40 would be added to my next refill. Fast forward to June, I was again given only 20. I called, and the staff member who returned my call on 6/25 assured me the remaining 40 would be ready at no charge. Great--that seemed like a reasonable resolution. I drove back again, another 30 minutes to pick them up, only to be told there were no medications waiting and they wouldn't refill them without another exam. I then had to wait another 30 minutes while they sorted it out. Mistakes happen. Repeating the same mistake, giving conflicting information, and wasting your clients' time is a communication problem. Telling me, "I hope you have a better day," after your office caused the issue showed a complete lack of accountability.
